Chapter 29: Realizing he had just done something foolish, he came back to mend the pot.

Qiu Bojie quickly stepped forward and handed the water in his hand to Zhong Xue.

Xiao Zhebin and Chu Jiang exchanged a glance and smiled with satisfaction.

"I didn't expect there was still hope for this kid."

"Yes, even rotten wood can be carved."

But the expression didn't last even a second before the simpleton uttered something astonishing, leaving the two speechless.

Zhong Xue looked at the newcomer with a blank expression, trying hard to remember who it was, and was about to reach out to take the water.

"Hey! I can't turn on the tap, can you help me?"

Zhong Xue stood there, embarrassed. Was this guy an idiot? He was a grown man who couldn't even open a bottle of mineral water. He was unworthy of being a boy.

"Haha... My classmate is so funny."

Qiu Bojie's forehead was already covered in fine beads of sweat. He stammered, "I...I...want...to drink water. Could you please help me unscrew the cap?"

Zhong Xue awkwardly took it, twisted it hard, and the bottle popped open with a click.

"alright!"

"Thanks!"

Qiu Bojie took the water and ran away.

He clearly meant to say "deliver water," but for some reason, the words came out completely wrong.

Chu Jiangyi and Xiao Zhebin looked at each other in disbelief, wondering how such a move could have happened.

The two of them almost lost their senses.

Less than five minutes later, Qiu Bojie turned back. He still had something to do: he hadn't delivered the tissues yet. He didn't want to be embarrassed to face Xiao Zhebin later, so he returned to complete another task.

The two women smiled knowingly when they saw the tissue in Qiu Bojie's hand.

Xiao Zhebin patted his chest, "This guy can still be saved. He knows the stupid thing he just did, so he'll come back and fix things."

Chu Jiang disagreed. After what had just happened, he wasn't optimistic about Qiu Bojie's future performance. He didn't want Qiu Bojie to suffer a double loss, which would only worsen Zhong Xue's impression of him.

Seeing that the simple-minded man had returned, Zhong Xue spoke first, "Is there anything else?"

After hesitating for a long time, Qiu Bojie stammered, "I...I...you...you...do you want tissues? Two yuan a pack."

Zhong Xue was taken aback, then forced a smile, "Thank you! No need."

Xiao Zhebin, who was listening nearby, was dumbfounded and pressed his philtrum hard with his hand.

"I'm about to faint from anger. Help me up. Don't have too high expectations for Qiu Bojie. He's hopeless, hopeless. This idiot, even if the government assigns him a wife, he won't be able to keep her. He's a moron, a complete moron."

Chu Jiang was a little better off, having prepared himself mentally, but he never expected Qiu Bojie to say that a pack of tissues cost two yuan, while the convenience store sold them for one yuan. He dared to make half the profit, undoubtedly a shrewd businessman.

How could he possibly earn that one dollar from the girl he likes? How desperate is he for that one dollar?

It's hopeless!

Judging from Zhong Xue's incredulous expression and Sun Qing's maniacal laughter, this kid probably has no chance.

"Let's say less and pretend that what just happened didn't happen. Let's at least save him some face."

Xiao Zhebin took a deep breath. "I feel ashamed standing next to him now. He can't even do such simple things as delivering water and tissues properly, yet he wants to chase girls. He's dreaming."

"Delivering water turned into having a girl open a bottle cap, how could he even think of that? Delivering paper turned into selling paper, how desperate for money is he? Now look what's happened, he's lost all his good impression points and ended up like this. If he can still win over Zhong Xue, he'll be my dad from now on."

"Don't be too sure of yourself. Maybe Zhong Xue likes that kind of thing."

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible. Anyone with a normal mindset would have a much lower impression of Qiu Bojie. Given this situation, how could he possibly have a good impression?"

Chu Jiang also smiled wryly, "At least it left a deep impression! Okay! Stop talking, he'll be here soon. Try to control your emotions and don't let him see it."
