Chapter 40 "Yu Zeheng, you're filthy!"...

Chapter 40 "Yu Zeheng, you're filthy!"...

Qiao Shu scrutinized him: "Don't assume everyone is like you. You're not a pure-hearted person, that's why you want everyone."

Yu Zeheng's gaze was calm: "Yes, I want it."

A crisp, clean, and concise answer.

"..."

Qiao Shu choked, suddenly at a loss for words. He had so bluntly admitted that her newly risen arrogance had been extinguished as if doused with a handful of water.

She pulled the blanket up to her chin, looking at him with a hint of curiosity: "What are you going to do? Should I let you go to the bathroom?"

“No need,” Yu Zeheng said.

"oh."

Her tone still sounded a little disappointed. Qiao Shu held her phone, her eyes brimming with tears: "But what can I do? I want to see you do it."

She tilted her head, her long, black hair cascading down her back, and her voice was like melted chocolate, sticky and sweet: "Aheng, when you're like this, I kind of want to kiss you."

Now it's Yu Zeheng's turn to remain silent.

"Do you know what it feels like to kiss you? Your lips are so soft, they feel warm and cool to the touch, and they taste like a mint bursting on your tongue. They smell wonderful and are so sweet to kiss."

“You close your eyes when you kiss,” she chuckled. “Sometimes you can’t tell who’s kissing whom.”

"It's cold, but you're very warm, and you hug me very tightly. Sometimes it's annoying, but sometimes I want to hug you even tighter. I really want to be pressed against your skin. How come your muscles are as hard as rocks?"

"..."

Qiao Shu had a languid air, like someone basking in the sun, which drifted out from the receiver, carrying a hint of sweetness.

She had already lay down, half her face buried in the pillow, her eyes already a little sleepy. The screen was so close that she could clearly count her eyelashes. When she played a prank, a smug smile would appear on her lips, followed by shallow dimples.

Qiao Shu called him Aheng over and over again.

Her dark eyes darted around, then she smiled, her smile deepening: "Or do you prefer me to call you something else?"

"elder brother?"

"Brother Aheng?" The voice was mixed with a crisp laugh, like a gentle breeze that had already blown by, yet the wind chimes still rang.

Yu Zeheng's breathing was slightly heavy, and he remained silent for a long time. It wasn't that he wasn't reacting; on the contrary, he was overreacting. He frowned, and his chest heaved.

He looked at her, his voice low and deep: "Qiao Shu, haven't you been staying in Australia all this time?"

Playing this game with him isn't without consequences.

Qiao Shu smiled and curled her eyelashes. She sighed softly, "I'm so scared, but what can you do with me now? Are you going to punish me?"

She took advantage of the thousands of kilometers separating them to commit evil deeds.

Yu Zeheng was indeed at a loss with her for the time being. His eyes were dark, like a small cluster of flames burning alone, but this fire could not travel across the ocean to burn the person who started it.

I want to bring people to my side, even through the screen.

He wanted to silence her with a kiss, to bite her lips and chin, to hold her close, to smell the scent of her hair, to tighten his grip on her waist so she couldn't breathe, that she could only take oxygen from his mouth, and then look at him with watery eyes, and could only look at him.

There's nothing he can do.

Yu Zeheng could clearly sense that he was thinking of her.

How could he not miss her? She had been sleeping next to him for more than half a month. Even with his eyes closed, he could still recall her face.

"Qiao Shu".

"what?"

Yu Zeheng's gaze deepened: "Say something else."

What do you want to hear?

"Anything is fine."

Qiao Shu weighs 90 pounds and has a rebellious streak. The more he tries to stop her from speaking, the more she does the opposite. She can say things that are too embarrassing to say. Now, the more he wants her to speak, the more she yawns and says she is sleepy.

"I'm not playing with you anymore," she said lazily, her eyes half-closed. When she finally ended the call, she deliberately spoke in a coquettish voice, "Poor Ah Heng, he has to take a cold shower."

"Um."

Yu Zeheng lowered his thin white eyelids, and a low panting sound escaped his throat.

Qiao Shu, with her sharp ears, recognized the voice all too well. She opened her eyes again and asked in a sinister voice, "Yu Zeheng, what are you doing?"

He lifted his eyelashes, pursed his thin lips, and his pale skin shimmered with a spring-like glow.

"Your nightgown is too worn out, I'll buy you a replacement."

Qiao Shu immediately realized what was happening, her eyes wide with astonishment: "What, what are you doing with my nightgown? Yu Zeheng, are you a pervert?"

Yu Zeheng didn't reply, his voice a little hoarse: "If there's nothing else, I'll go take care of it first."

Qiao Shu's ears burned. She thought of her close-fitting pajamas, which he had used for that kind of thing: "Yu Zeheng, you're so dirty!"

"How dare you!"

Yu Zeheng's eyes were still dark. Not enough? How could that be enough? He just wanted to pull her into his arms, every line of his face overlapping: "Are you angry? Come back, I'll let you vent your anger."

As soon as he finished speaking, the video ended.

Qiao Shu threw her phone away, buried her face in the pillow, pursed her lips, and made "ah ah ah" sounds in her throat. She was so irritable that she wanted to drag Yu Zeheng over and bite him a few times to vent her anger.

There was nothing she could do but grit her teeth, hold her breath for a few minutes, and then put down her phone to go to sleep.

In the morning, Qiao Shu had breakfast at the hotel. She habitually drank a cup of coffee to refresh herself and reduce swelling. Guan Han didn't touch these; she drank room temperature water. After looking at the pitifully small amount of food on Qiao Shu's plate, she said, "Is this enough?"

She also has a daughter who is always posting on social media about wanting to lose weight; young girls always love to look pretty.

Qiao Shu slowly sipped her coffee: "I'm used to it; eating too much affects my thinking."

Guan Han nodded upon hearing this and said with a smile, "If I eat too little, I will have no energy and my hands and feet will feel weak."

"Because Sister Han is a high-energy person, if I followed your schedule for a day, I would be gone in a flash." Qiao Shu made a fainting gesture and joked to herself.

The more time they spent together, the more familiar they became. Although Qiao Shu didn't say many things, Guan Han, who was watching from the side, thought that her ambition was even greater than she had imagined.

Grandpa Qiao is a very traditional man. Apart from Guan Han, everyone around him is a man. The reason he thinks highly of Guan Han is because she is hardworking. She is a woman who doesn't even want her own family. She can do what men can do, and she can do what men can't do.

Even so, Guan Han still struggled to make a living in a traditional male-dominated company.

Guan Han asked half-jokingly, "Are you working so hard because you want to take over President Qiao's position?"

Qiao Shu rested her chin on her hand and smiled: "The old man doesn't approve of me. You should know his will. He already has a successor he likes."

"I know." Guan Han put down her knife and fork. "Do you admit it?"

Qiao Shu asked, "Will you stand firmly on my side?"

Her eyes, clear and bright, possessed a captivating quality.

Guan Han smiled slightly, picked up her knife and fork again, and ate while telling her about the turmoil that led her to this position. No one believed in her, and the people she had trained wanted to step over her to get to the top. She tossed and turned at night thinking about it, feeling unwilling, really unwilling.

She always remembered Qiao Kaiyu jokingly telling her that she was working too hard and that she should go home and take care of the children.

Guan Han said, "So, I'm probably the person in the whole company who least wants him to take over the company. I don't want to climb to a high position and still have a man asking me to go back and take care of my grandson."

So, screw it.

Guan Han has been with the company for many years and has a large amount of dirt on Qiao Kaiyu. She kept it for future use, but now she is sharing it all with Qiao Shu.

Qiao Shu was already quite surprised when she flipped through the pages.

She clicked her tongue softly; her older brother had really done a lot behind the old man's back.

Qiao Shu was on a business trip in Australia. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, and naturally she followed their working hours. So she wasn't very busy. Apart from the time she spent meeting with some friends, she was extremely free.

Yu Mingwu was like a little traitor, or a little surveillance camera she planted next to Yu Zeheng, reporting on Yu Zeheng's situation in great detail.

It usually comes with a picture.

Sometimes it was in the office, at the dining table, or even in the conference room. Yu Mingwu herself was studying abroad, so her photography skills were naturally excellent, and she applied them equally to Yu Zeheng. The composition and atmosphere of the photos were top-notch, and Yu Zeheng's face could withstand all kinds of angles.

The result of this photoshoot was that Qiao Shu, while biting her finger, flipped through the photos and admitted that the man was quite good-looking.

Yu Mingwu also vented as if writing a diary.

[That guy is really going too far! I was five minutes late, and he deducted two hundred yuan from my pay!]

[Sister-in-law, I take back what I said earlier. He paid me yesterday's wages, plus a bonus. He's the best brother in the world.]

My older brother works all day long, he doesn't even have time to go downstairs for coffee. His life is so simple.

[My brother was exercising, and unfortunately, I got dragged over too. I'm going to die! My legs aren't mine, but sister-in-law, let me show you my brother's muscles.]

[...]

Qiao Shu didn't find it annoying, but after looking at Yu Zeheng's photos too much, she suddenly felt like she was spying on him, so she told Yu Mingwu not to bring any photos.

Yu Mingwu misinterpreted her meaning: [Sister-in-law, don't you also think he dresses the same way every day, and you're tired of seeing it? (Serious chin resting on hand image)]

Qiao Shu: "..."

never mind.

Yu Mingwu didn't just complain about Yu Zeheng. Late at night, they would also talk about topics that girls usually talk about. She confided that she had a boy she liked, who was her crush at first sight. Their relationship was only at the point where they had each other's contact information and would sometimes chat, with the topics revolving around their studies.

"I don't know if he likes me or not. If he doesn't, he won't chat with me, right? Sister-in-law, what should I do in this situation? I'm not entirely sure either. Does this mean I like him?"

Qiao Shu looked at Yu Mingwu's melancholy expression on the screen, a rare occurrence, and was stumped by the question.

She rarely thinks about these kinds of questions.

Qiao Shu thought about it carefully and replied, "If he liked you, he wouldn't let you worry about this kind of problem. This is not something we should be thinking about; someone else should be worrying about it."

Yu Mingwu seemed to understand but not quite, and sighed deeply.

Even so, Qiao Shu followed her exhale, frowning as she thought about how she seemed to be paying too much attention to Yu Zeheng lately. They would video chat every night, and she would watch Xiao Xi first, but later it would just be the two of them.

What he's doing is none of her business.

Qiao Shu said, "Talk less about your older brother in the future."

"Huh?" Yu Mingwu looked confused.

Qiao Shu said coldly, "He's too boring."

Yu Mingwu cried out in her heart, silently shedding tears. Realizing that her elder brother's chances were becoming increasingly slim, she got up early in the morning to go to Nanwan to deliver the news.

She glared at him coldly and relayed Qiao Shu's words with added embellishment: "Brother, your wife thinks you're boring, not interested in you, and says you're annoying. Don't you think you should take some further education?"

Yu Zeheng glanced at her with his long eyes, his expression indifferent and devoid of emotion: "With such boundless energy, why don't you run another half hour to get to work?"

"ah!"

Yu Mingwu laughed in exasperation: "You're so stubborn, you'll regret it one day!"

Qiao Shu spent five days in Australia, and after successfully completing her work, she returned to China with her team.

Since the last time she mentioned to Yu Mingwu that she should talk less about Yu Zeheng, Yu Mingwu has not sent any more photos and rarely mentions him. The chat history is left with Qiao Shu asking her what gift she wants.

Life suddenly became much quieter.

In this quiet moment, Qiao Shu pondered her unusual behavior. Her insomnia at night was understandable, as she was used to having someone by her side.

In her opinion, this is a bad habit.

After returning to China, Qiao Shu did not go straight back to South Bay. She had slept enough on the plane and was full of energy after landing. A friend's bar opened and asked her to go and support it with other friends, which she gladly agreed to.

Chu Tian was also there, and waved for her to come over.

At the opening ceremony, half of the attendees were friends, who brought their own friends. The opening activities and special offers attracted new customers, making the store crowded and noisy with music and conversation.

The waiters are all handsome men and beautiful women, they know how to have fun and liven up the atmosphere, they are all very sweet-talking, they interact with customers and take photos, and they are very proactive in their work.

The dance floor was packed with men and women dancing.

Qiao Shu was blinded by the lights. She used to be one of them, but now she really felt less energetic than before. She couldn't jump around anymore, so she could only drink with her friends.

She simply sat there, yet she attracted many admiring glances.

It wasn't that no men tried to chat her up; Qiao Shu smiled nonchalantly, knowing that her male friends would naturally fend them off for her.

Chu Tian whispered in her ear, "Would your husband be willing to let you come here?"

Qiao Shu took a sip of her drink but smiled without saying a word. She was very supportive and bought a lot of drinks. Her friend kept thanking her, saying that she was a true friend.

Towards the end, Chu Tian went dancing, while Qiao Shu was drinking. She swallowed the cold liquor, her expression more like she was in a daze, somewhat dazed by the music.

His fingers tapped the rim of the glass intermittently as he pondered where the boundaries of his sexual relationship lay.

She had no experience, and after thinking about it for ages, her head ached, but she still couldn't come up with an answer.

Another man appeared beside her, unlike the greasy guy before. He cleverly claimed that he could read palms. Qiao Shu smiled and opened her palm: "Take a look."

The man lowered his eyes and said, "Miss, you are very lucky. You are obviously born into a wealthy family and are very pampered. You may have some troubles in your love life."

Qiao Shu smiled: "Are you looking at bags and jewelry, or palmistry?"

The man was mesmerized by her smile and, bewitched, reached out to hold her hand, saying he wanted to get a closer look.

Qiao Shu stopped first and went to get a wine glass.

"You're so good at palm reading, does your palm tell you what will happen if you touch her?" A cold voice sounded ominously from behind.

In a daze, someone sat down next to her, tilting his head to the side while he was holding it in his hands. When she saw his face clearly, she suddenly smiled and said in a light, sweet voice, "Handsome, you're quite to my liking."

Yu Zeheng met her gaze: "Have you had enough fun?"

He sent her several messages, and she replied that she had already gotten off the plane and then disappeared. He heard nothing more from her after that. He asked Uncle Qin, and Uncle Qin sent him the address.

Qiao Shu closed her eyes briefly, her lips still glistening with the clear liquid of the wine. She said, "Since you're so handsome, what would you like to drink? I'll buy you a drink."

Yu Zeheng suppressed his anger and said coldly, "I'm not drinking anymore. I'm going back."

Qiao Shu looked at him dazedly: "Go back where?"

"go home."

Yu Zeheng called her by her full name, almost squeezing it out from between his teeth: "Qiao Shu."

"It's boring, so boring."

Qiao Shu braced herself on his arm, moved closer to him, and breathed out a scent that carried a hint of alcohol, fruit, and the refreshing aroma of mint. She hummed, "I think you're a bit rough."

Yu Zeheng's gaze contrasted sharply with the changing neon lights in the bar; he was like the morning mist, cold and indifferent.

He pursed his lips, but the words that were about to come out changed their tone: "Don't you just like being rough?"

In bed, she would pout in dissatisfaction at gentle kisses and excessively long foreplay.

Qiao Shu shook her head: "I don't like it."

She stared into his eyes and said again, "I don't like you. Yu Zeheng, do you know how awful you really are?"

She hates him everywhere and he never does what she wants. Why would she like someone like that?

Yu Zeheng paused for two seconds, then asked, "Who do you like?"
