Chapter 21
When Gu Shu realized this fact, her stomach churned and she immediately ran to the trash can to vomit.
She had always thought it was just a coincidence, a game between capital, and that she and Yan Huai were both slaves of capital. But she hadn't expected Yan Huai to have already leaned on Shang Zhier, the big tree. When did they get together? Six years ago or now?
Gu Shu returned to her RV in a daze. Her assistant handed her a cup of warm water, but she accidentally broke the cup because she was distracted, and the water spilled on her ankles.
She seemed to have just come back to her senses from the scene outside the studio and screamed loudly.
Yan Huai stood up and rummaged through his bag.
"What are you looking for?" Shang Zhier asked.
"Yogurt," Yan Huai searched in vain and zipped up his bag. "Didn't you put a bottle of yogurt in my bag this morning? It's gone. I guess it fell in the car."
Shang Zhier put his phone in his pocket and said, "I'll go to the nearby supermarket to buy a bottle."
"No need, it's troublesome running around." Yan Huai raised his chin, "Sit there and rest for a while."
"I want to drink too." Shang Zhier smiled.
"Okay, okay." Yan Huai waved his hand and let him go.
When Shang Zhier was about to walk out of the shed, Yan Huai ran up to him in two or three steps and pinched him hard on the butt.
"You..." Shang Zhier felt a little ashamed and angry.
Yan Huai laughed and whispered, "It feels good." Then he pushed Shang Zhier's back with both hands and pushed him out.
A cool breeze blew outside the shed. Shang Zhier shook his head helplessly, but an uncontrollable smile appeared in his eyes.
He walked into the supermarket, picked up two bottles of sugar-free yogurt from the shelf, and carried them to the checkout.
Yan Huai leaned back in his chair, leisurely drinking yogurt. He was thinking about how to tease Shang Zhier when Yuan Meng came to call him to shoot the afternoon scene.
"I'm going to film." Yan Huai wiped his mouth, stood up and picked up the script.
Shang Zhi'er touched his lower lip with his palm, blew a kiss to Yan Huai, and said, "Go."
Yan Huai was in a good mood. He turned around and left the studio and went to the dressing room.
After finishing her makeup, Yan Huai waited by the side. There were so many people around and she didn't dare to take out her phone to send a message to Shang Zhier, so she simply said hello to Gu Shu and stood outside waiting.
During the shoot, Gu Shu wasn't in the right frame of mind, and the director told her off. Yan Huai waited for her to adjust, and the shoot was already well into the early morning.
"I'm sorry, Brother Yan." Gu Shu squatted beside him and apologized.
Yan Huai consoled him, "It's okay. Everyone gets down on their act sometimes. I got scolded so badly by Lu Zheng when I was filming my last movie. Seriously. I didn't want to shoot anymore. During the hardest part of the shoot, it took me five or six days to finish that scene."
Gu Shu looked at the gentle and warm man in front of her who was like a brother. She was a little stunned and even had an illusion, but soon anger took over her heart. Her face changed slightly, she nodded indifferently, got up and left.
Yan Huai was a little surprised at her capricious attitude. He just thought she was in a bad mood and didn't take it to heart.
"Where is Yan Huai?" Shang Zhier tilted his head and asked Yuan Meng.
Yuan Meng packed her backpack and clothes, looked up and said, "Change in the locker room."
Shang Zhier glanced at the brown sweater in her hand and said, "I'll give it to Shunli."
"Okay, thank you for troubling Teacher Shang."
The last light was on in the locker room. Everyone had left, leaving only Yan Huai alone in the cubicle waiting for Yuan Meng to bring him clothes.
"Why haven't you come yet?" Yan Huai muttered. He was shirtless, with only the ancient costume in his hand. "I can't go out naked."
With a creaky sound, the locker room door was pushed open.
Yan Huai thought it was Yuan Meng, so he stretched out an arm and said, "I'm shirtless, just give it to me."
But the hand moved along his palm and touched his wrist. Just when Yan Huai was surprised, the man suddenly pushed open the door and squeezed into the small locker room.
"Are you getting impatient?" Yan Huai closed the door reluctantly.
The locker room was too small for two grown men to fit in. Shang Zhier used his knees to push Yan Huai's legs apart and pulled his arms into his sweater sleeves.
"Don't move, I'll put it on myself!" Yan Huai was a little annoyed. Shang Zhier's knee was pressing against that place, and it would rub against it if he moved.
When he put on the sweater and before he could pull it off from his collarbone, Shang Zhier stroked his smooth back and lowered his head to bite his chest.
Yan Huai almost cried out when Shang Zhier bit him, but he quickly realized that this was the locker room and bit his lips tightly.
He lowered his voice: "What are you doing? This is the locker room."
"I know." Shang Zhier chuckled softly, "This is a punishment for you."
The hem of the sweater caught Shang Zhier's eyes, feeling a little uncomfortable. He lifted the sweater and said, "Bite it."
Yan Huai bit his sweater, leaned against the wall, covered his eyes with the back of his hands, his face flushed and his voice was completely suppressed in the sweater, only a whimpering sound.
Isn't it just a pinch on the butt? How stingy! Yan Huai felt himself getting hotter and hotter.
When the two were making love, the door was pushed open.
When Yan Huai heard the sound of the door opening, he was startled and pushed Shang Zhier.
Shang Zhier stretched out his index finger and made a shushing gesture.
The toes of the high heels tapped the ground, the sound coming from far away. Yan Huai's heart was beating rapidly and he was extremely nervous.
Fortunately, the high heels stopped at the door of the locker room.
Separated by a door, Yan Huai didn't dare to breathe.
Gu Shu stared at the pair of leather shoes and Martins in the crack of the door, and had already guessed who was inside. She forced herself to say, "How could you forget to turn off the lights? How careless."
Then, she turned off the lights in the dressing room and left the room without locking the door.
Yan Huai breathed a sigh of relief and kicked Shang Zhier's shoe hard, "You're messing around."
Shang Zhier's lips were red from eating, but he remained calm and contentedly straightened Yan Huai's sweater, put on his coat, and left holding his hand.
In the car, two people sat in the back seat, neither of them looked at each other but just stared out the window.
Yuan Meng was sitting in the passenger seat and thought the two were just arguing.
No one knew, they were just trying their best to restrain the desires in their hearts. Shang Zhier stretched out his little finger and quietly hooked it with Yan Huai's finger. Would it be too indulgent to do this occasionally?
The car stopped at the hotel and Shang Zhier got out first and left.
Yan Huai got off the car at Gate No. 2. Yuan Meng took Yan Huai's two large backpacks and prepared to follow him into the room to put his things away.
"It's so late, you should go to bed early. I can take the bags back myself." Yan Huai took the two bags from her hands.
Yuan Meng yawned and nodded.
When they opened the door of the hotel, Shang Zhier had been waiting for a long time. The two of them spent the night together. The plants by the window sprouted new buds, and spring was quietly spreading.
"It feels a bit hot today," Yan Huai sat up and patted the quilt beside him, "Just wear a sweatshirt today, get up quickly."
Shang Zhier groaned twice, got up sleepily and went to the bathroom to wash up.
Yan Huai searched the suitcase for a long time but couldn't find a sweatshirt that suited his taste. He then turned his attention to Shang Zhier's suitcase. After searching left and right, he found a black pullover sweatshirt and slipped it under the hem.
"Not bad." Yan Huai looked in the floor-length mirror, admiring the clothes.
Shang Zhier bit his toothbrush and mumbled, "It looks good."
"He Xuan said he'd come visit us this afternoon," Yan Huai said, bending down to put on his ripped jeans. "I want to have a midnight snack with him. Do you want to come?"
"I'll pick you up after we finish eating." Shang Zhier replied.
Although he thought that He Xuan was a love rival, and a love rival who had kissed Yan Huai, and was very threatening, he thought that if he went, the two of them might not be able to relax and be happy, so he simply decided not to go.
Afternoon, crew.
He Xuan invited the crew to have afternoon tea, and many fans gathered outside, wanting to take some photos and watch the meal.
"Let's eat later. I'll go see them." Yan Huai stood up and walked outside the crew with He Xuan.
The crowd instantly became excited and screamed continuously.
Because He Xuan came to visit the set, the fans present were even more convinced that the CP I was supporting was real!
The flashes and shutters kept clicking, and Yan Huai couldn't even utter a few complete sentences.
"I've prepared milk tea for everyone, and the staff will distribute it to you later. Be careful and go back and rest early." Yan Huai said worriedly.
Fans said in unison: "Okay--"
In order not to burden the crew, the two quickly returned to the greenhouse.
"Hey," He Xuan walked behind him, "Is this sweatshirt yours? It's so big?"
"Oversized style is very popular nowadays," said Yan Huai.
He Xuan sighed, "Could this be someone else's clothes?"
Yan Huai played dumb: "Then who is who?"
"Still pretending," He Xuan lifted the tarpaulin, pulled out a chair and sat down, "You two smell the same."
Yan Huai was stuck when he heard the voice. He Xuan had never smelled Shang Zhier before, so he lowered his head and smelled his collar, but there was no smell.
"Stop smelling it," He Xuan took a big bite of the donut, "You can't smell it yourself."
"What are we having for dinner?" Yan Huai changed the subject.
"Didn't they just open a Japanese restaurant?" He Xuan said, "Take me out for a meal."
"Okay, okay, okay."
11 o'clock at night.
The two of them slipped into the private room and the chef began to make sushi.
Yan Huai held the cup and lowered his head to drink a sip of ice water. "Is it finished?"
"Well," He Xuan nodded, "I'm taking a week off. There's a red carpet event coming up. Do you want to go?"
"I don't have time for filming." Yan Huai said.
After finishing his meal, Yan Huai stood up and said, "I'm going to the bathroom, then I'll go back."
"That's great. I'll go too."
The two put on their shoes and walked along the corridor, but they could faintly hear crying.
He Xuan suddenly got goosebumps all over his body, "It's early morning now, will it be..."
"Shut up." Yan Huai said.
The two followed the crying sound and found a long-haired woman crying bitterly in the empty cargo aisle stairwell. She smelled strongly of alcohol and could be smelled before they even got close.
The two looked at each other, "Girl, are you okay?"
"Get out!" The woman waved her hand, revealing her face, her makeup all gone and tears streaming down her face.
"Gu Shu?!" Yan Huai was shocked.
Gu Shu was a little more awake at this moment. She recognized Yan Huai and wiped away her tears: "Why are you here?"
"My friend and I happened to be having dinner here," Yan Huai explained. "Are you okay? Get up first. Where's your phone? What's your assistant's number?"
Gu Shu threw Yan Huai's hand away and shouted, "What right do you have to control me? Who do you think you are? A savior? Saving this and that every day! Why are you looking at me like that? What's wrong with me looking for the director and the sponsor? Haven't you been relying on Shang Zhier for a long time?"
"Six years ago, wasn't there someone who wanted to keep you?" Gu Shu shouted at the top of his lungs. "I thought you were so noble, willing to die rather than compromise, but what happened? You've already been involved with Shang Zhier!"
"What are you talking about..." Yan Huai felt that the whole world had become quiet. What did he mean by "a long time ago"? It was obvious that he and Shang Zhier had only been together for the last month.
Gu Shu fell to the ground, not knowing whether to cry or laugh. "Why are you pretending? If it weren't for Shang Zhier, do you think you could have escaped from Cao Wei six years ago? I'm telling you, Cao Wei has wanted to have you for a long time! If it weren't for Shang Zhier, would he have given up on this piece of fat meat like you?"
