Chapter 79 Free Distribution of Supplies, Malicious Incident

When Liu Kai saw the dark, menacing pistol, he was not only unafraid, but even showed disdain.

"Hey, you've got quite a temper, young lady. Didn't your superiors say that you can't just pull out a gun and point it at law-abiding citizens?!"

"Whoosh!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he strode forward with a terrifying speed that Qin Luofei could not have imagined.

He snatched the QSZ193 pistol from her hand and weighed it in his hand.

"Tsk tsk, who are you trying to scare by putting an empty magazine in? Nice gun, it's mine."

Qin Luofei was only bluffing, and when she saw that her trick of using empty magazines had been exposed, she couldn't help but blush.

But when she saw her empty hands, she panicked.

Her tear-streaked face wore an expression of exasperation: "How could you..."

"Shh!"

Liu Kai placed the gun to his lips, making a shushing gesture.

"Want your sidearm back? Then answer my question."

Although Qin Luofei was furious, she knew she was no match for Liu Kai and did not make a rash move.

He gritted his teeth and forced out three words: "Don't even think about it!"

"Never mind then, bye-bye."

This time, Liu Kai is really gone.

He jumped onto the snowmobile, stepped on the gas, and sped away, leaving Qin Luofei standing there dumbfounded and bewildered in the wind.

It took her a while to come to her senses.

Even now, during this apocalyptic cold wave.

For a soldier, losing his sidearm is no small matter.

She must find a chance to take it back.

What she found even more unbearable was that she was ruthlessly defeated in her first direct encounter with the "wandering merchant."

The self-esteem and pride cultivated over so many years have been dealt a devastating blow.

Looking at the icy mist kicked up by the snowmobiles in the distance, he gritted his teeth and said, "Damn it, we'll see!"

She remained indignant for a long time before finally remembering the important matter at hand.

He walked quickly to the room where Xiaoya and Senior Brother An had just been.

After looking left and right for a long time, he could only tell that someone had indeed entered the house recently.

But it's strange.

The people inside seemed to have vanished into thin air, showing no sign of leaving.

In the end, all I could do was shake my head helplessly.

He took out his communication device and truthfully reported what had just happened and the results of his investigation of the room.

They then arrived at the collapsed ice cave ahead.

Mustering my courage, I turned on the flashlight and cautiously began to feel my way downwards.

...

The collapse of the ice cave and the incident involving female officer Qin Luofei were just minor episodes for Liu Kai.

Now, after all, we bear the responsibility of transporting supplies.

On his detour to the destination settlement, he was quite moved.

I thought I was incredibly lucky to have found a bunker, where I could lie down and watch the world go by in this cold snap and apocalypse.

Unexpectedly, I have once again become a government employee.

It just goes to show that desires create vulnerabilities, and it's all because the advancement of spatial abilities requires the absorption of precious metals.

The snowmobile quickly arrived at its destination: a half-renovated urban village settlement.

Liu Kai turned on the car's loudspeaker.

Broadcasts began in several blocks along the route: "Official relief, free supplies being distributed, come to the square to collect them."

Soon, many survivors heard this exciting news!

After the announcement was broadcast twice, Liu Kai was the first to arrive at the open small square.

It had only been half a minute since the small trailer, filled with various foods, was unhooked and set up.

A large crowd of people poured out of the surrounding buildings.

For a moment, the small square was filled with rustling footsteps and buzzing whispers.

Liu Kai was startled.

Judging from the official distribution map, he knew there were many people here, but he didn't expect there to be this many.

They quickly reduced the accuracy of the "scan" range to the minimum and expanded the range to the maximum.

They then discovered that there were approximately 2,000 survivors in the surrounding 5 blocks!

He immediately frowned as he looked at the tow truck.

Although the amount of supplies brought was large, it was definitely not enough to fully allocate to 2,000 people.

Fortunately, the snowmobile had plenty of battery power.

It would take about a few hours and seven or eight round trips.

It's not that Liu Kai has a particularly strong sense of responsibility.

Instead, he wanted to take control of an entire region at once.

Go to one place each day and leave enough supplies for the survivors in that area to survive for at least two months.

This would make it easier for him to quickly travel throughout the various areas of the southern part of the city and rapidly plunder precious metals.

The survivors who gathered around were also very happy.

They had heard of the wandering merchant's reputation.

Unexpectedly, the roaming merchants also joined the official rescue efforts, distributing supplies for free.

Many people's prejudice against him as a "shady businessman" has changed considerably.

Each face beamed with a hopeful smile.

But just as they were about to lavish praise on the wandering merchant's selfless act of "returning to his former life,"

But what I saw was an unbelievable scene.

Liu Kai couldn't be bothered with these people at all.

He quickly picked up the supplies from the trailer and threw them on the ground.

Finally, he didn't even hesitate to show off his strong physical strength, lifting the trailer directly.

Large quantities of supplies were dumped onto the ice like garbage.

He left with the words, "Take it yourselves."

Then he drove off in his snowmobile.

After all, the official statement only mentioned distributing supplies, not maintaining order at the scene.

He considers delivering the supplies to their destination as completing his mission; how the survivors distribute them is another matter.

Whether it's orderly queuing or chaotic grabbing, it's all good.

None of this is his business.

Watching the snowmobile drive away, the survivors were completely bewildered, wondering what was going on.

However, one of them reacted very quickly.
