After eating and drinking his fill, Xiao Jin wiped his mouth, slung his backpack over his shoulder, grabbed his long sword, and prepared to leave the room.
Before they could even touch the door, a ticking sound came from the doorway.
Xiao Jin stood solemnly, his brows furrowing slightly as he heard the door lock being opened.
These hotel access locks are only available to guests with access cards or hotel staff. Why would they open the door without the guest's permission?
Something's not right!
The next second, Xiao Jin keenly sensed that there was more than one presence behind the door, and she took a few steps back away from the doorway.
Immediately afterward, the door in front of them was violently pushed open, and the hotel manager holding the room key stood there trembling, his face pale. Xiao Jin could clearly see that his neat suit was now wrinkled, his hair was disheveled, and his face was covered in bruises like a palette of colors.
Three other people stood around the hotel manager; they were Liu Bing and his two companions, each wielding a kitchen knife and a stick.
The group stared at Xiao Jin inside the house with sinister grins, but they couldn't help but pause when they saw her fully armed and looking like she was about to leave.
They never imagined that anyone would want to go out in this situation; wasn't that just courting death?
"What do you want?" Xiao Jin glanced at Liu Bing and the other two, feeling slightly relieved.
The three thugs were no threat to her; she could be dealt with in a few minutes without delaying her departure from the hotel.
'Bang!'
A tall man standing behind Liu Bing slammed his stick against the door frame and stared at Xiao Jin with a vicious look.
"What are you doing? From now on, we're in charge here. Hand over all your belongings." The man shouted, pointing to the bulging backpack on Xiao Jin's back.
To conceal the existence of the space, Xiao Jin put a lot of bulky but light items in his backpack. However, to Liu Bing and the other two, such a large bag of things looked like a full bag of supplies!
All three of them had red eyes.
After the unexpected incident in the early hours of the morning, Liu Bing and his two companions finally made up their minds to take over the hotel.
So, while everyone was asleep, the three of them went to the hotel's kitchen, killed the chef, and hid all the food inside.
Afterwards, they went downstairs, found the hotel manager's room, beat and threatened him, and demanded that he produce all the hotel guests' accommodation information.
They used their room keys to scavenge for supplies, going from floor to floor.
If they found someone honest, they would tie them up; if someone was disobedient, they would beat them up first, and if they dared to resist, they would kill them and throw their bodies into the water downstairs, leaving no trace.
As for the woman, she was pulled directly into the inner room.
Some people hated Liu Bing and his two companions intensely, but fearing for their lives, they remained silent and endured their violence. Others, however, completely sided with Liu Bing and his group, becoming their lackeys.
These people enjoyed the thrill of being in control, helping to gather supplies while aiding and abetting Liu Bing's evil deeds, controlling the other people in the hotel.
They stormed up from the bottom, and everyone below had already been overrun. Because Xiao Jin's room had been destroyed, the hotel manager moved her to the top floor.
After opening the door, the hotel manager looked guilty. He avoided eye contact with Xiao Jin. When he saw Liu Bing and the others talking, he quickly grabbed the room key and ran to a corner.
Xiao Jin glanced at the tall man indifferently: "Supplies? I don't have any."
Xiao Jin didn't care at all about the large number of people blocking her door and directly refused their request.
The expressions of the three men instantly turned gloomy.
"Kid, don't push your luck. Didn't you understand? From now on, the three of us brothers will be in charge here. If you know what's good for you, you'd better hand over the supplies."
If you hand over the supplies to us, we'll be brothers from now on, and your big brother will naturally protect you.
otherwise……"
Liu Bing sneered: "This is the apocalypse, the police don't have time to deal with you. At times like this, it's perfectly normal for someone to die!"
Seeing that Xiao Jin still didn't move, a cold glint flashed in Liu Bing's eyes. He gave a look to the two men beside him, and the three of them brandished their weapons, slowly approaching Xiao Jin.
Seeing this, the slightly open door gaps on both sides of the outside closed silently at some point.
Xiao Jin's expression remained unchanged as she watched the person gradually approaching.
Liu Bing reached out, pointing the knife at Xiao Jin's face, while his other hand tried to grab the backpack behind her.
Xiao Jin's eyes darkened, and he clenched his right fist and slammed it down without hesitation: "Didn't I say that? Can't you understand human language? Take your claws back."
Liu Bing felt as if his arm had been hit by an iron rod, and he instinctively cried out in pain.
"Aww!"
"Big brother!"
"Big brother!"
Liu Bing was in so much pain that he was jumping up and down. The two people behind him quickly came up to check on him.
"How dare you hit my older brother? Get him!" The tall man glared at Xiao Jin, raising the wooden stick high in his hand and bringing it down on Xiao Jin's head.
Another man with a crew cut also picked up a watermelon knife and began hacking at Xiao Jin.
Too slow!
The actions of these people were almost like slow motion in Xiao Jin's eyes. She calmly stretched out her leg and kicked the tall man in the abdomen. The man screamed and fell heavily to the ground. At the same time, Xiao Jin dodged the flying watermelon knife, pulled out the dagger from her waist, and stabbed it fiercely into the neck of the man with the crew cut.
'Pfft!'
The sharp dagger easily pierced the crew-cut man's neck, blood splattering and dripping down the blade onto the carpet, leaving a brown stain.
The room was deathly silent. Liu Bing and the tall man, who had been wailing in pain, were now silent. If you looked closely, all that could be seen in their eyes as they looked at Xiao Jin was fear.
"Ho! Ho! Ho!"
The blow didn't seem to kill him immediately; the man with the crew cut had bulging eyes and was making a sound like a broken bellows coming from his throat.
After a long while, he slowly raised one hand and made a grabbing motion towards Liu Bing in front of him, his eyes full of pleading, as if he wanted Liu Bing to save him.
In just a few seconds, blood gushed out from the wound on the crew-cut man's neck, staining half of his body blood red.
This scene seemed utterly terrifying to Liu Bing, so much so that he didn't even glance at the crew-cut guy again, and screamed as he rushed out the door.
"Aaaaaah! Help!"
A demon! It must be a demon! Who can kill someone as calmly as killing a chicken?! At that moment, Liu Bing had only one thought in his mind: Run!
