Chapter 406 This really won't do!

"Huh? You're comparing me to him!" Lu Jing was quite unconvinced.

How can he be compared to that little brat? If you don't believe me, ask anyone else. Who would dare say he's a burden or a good-for-nothing?

No, you're a big problem.

In just a short while, Xiao Jin felt as if a hundred ducks were quacking in her ears.

Everyone says women talk a lot, and she felt Lu Jing was no less so.

"Tsk~ I'm hungry!" After talking for a while, Lu Jing suddenly remembered that he hadn't eaten dinner yet.

Just as I was about to ask the henchmen behind me to throw some food over, the helicopter suddenly shook violently.

"Holy crap, what's going on?"

"Get up, you're pressing down on me." A commotion came from behind, and Lu Jing's body tilted due to inertia.

He glanced sharply around, and the smile on his face vanished instantly.

"Holy crap, where did this huge bird come from?" the burly player exclaimed, then pulled out his item and was about to aim outside.

Once the tremor subsided slightly, everyone looked out the window in unison.

In the darkness, an unprecedentedly enormous creature suddenly appeared, its figure both eerie and terrifying in the faint moonlight.

This is a zombie bird, whose size is comparable to that of the golden eagle, the king of the skies.

Its enormous wings spread out, obscuring the sparse starlight around it.

At this moment, its feathers were mottled, mixed with dried blood and fragments of rotting flesh, and each flap of its wings stirred up a stench of decay.

It was just that it suddenly appeared and crashed into the helicopter, forcing Xiao Jin to dodge at top speed.

"Hiss~" a short player couldn't help but say, "This bird must have grown up eating corpses!"

Seeing that no one objected, his face turned green.

In the driver's seat, Xiao Jin narrowed his eyes.

Upon realizing that the other party was trying to attack the helicopter again, Xiao Jin immediately stretched his arm out of the broken window and fired several shots.

The incendiary bombs streaked across the sky like shooting stars, their intense light drawing dazzling arcs in the air.

Each strike was like a scythe wielded by the Grim Reaper, hurtling towards the zombie birds.

The zombie bird had bloodshot eyes and tattered wings, yet it still soared high, emitting chilling cries.

However, just as the incendiary bomb was about to hit it, the mutated bird mobilized the water vapor in the surrounding air, gathering it into a water shield with a flowing blue luster, which firmly enveloped itself.

The water-based superpower contrasted sharply with the raging fire of the incendiary bomb, and the battle between water and fire reached its climax at this moment.

"Sizzle—" The moment the incendiary bomb made contact with the water escape, a series of ear-piercing sounds erupted in the air.

Enveloped by the flowing water, the flames struggled and twisted, only to be mercilessly swallowed up, transforming into wisps of rising steam that slowly drifted away into the night sky.

Meanwhile, the incendiary bombs that were originally spinning rapidly gradually slowed down under the influence of the water escape technique, until they completely lost their forward momentum and fell helplessly to the ground.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Jin immediately changed the form of the 'Wheel of Fate'.

Although ice and water are from the same source, ice is better than fire, right?

Immediately afterwards, an ice-attribute bullet struck the zombie bird, instantly freezing it into a large lump.

The mutated bird, which was originally flying in mid-air, suddenly felt itself being tightly bound by an irresistible force of frost.

Its wings were covered with layers of crystal-clear, bone-chilling ice, which temporarily rendered it unable to fly.

The zombie bird, as if suddenly dragged by gravity, lost its former majesty and plummeted downwards.

However, Xiao Jin's eyes showed no sign of relaxation or slackness; her sharp, hawk-like eyes were fixed on the zombie bird that had landed.

Because she knew very well that this level of skill was not enough to kill the other party.

As Xiao Jin expected, the zombie bird's twisted and ferocious body trembled a few times in mid-air before unleashing astonishing power.

Each of its struggles was accompanied by the crisp, piercing sound of ice shattering.

Finally, thanks to the zombie bird's tireless efforts, its frozen wings gradually regained their elasticity and strength.

The shards of ice were swept away as if by an invisible hand, scattering and revealing the pair of eyes below that were still filled with murderous intent.

At that very moment, the zombie bird suddenly flapped its wings and took flight. The frequency of its wingbeats was astonishing, almost drawing afterimages in the air that were difficult to see with the naked eye.

Finally, after a brief silence, it stared at the helicopter while letting out even more frantic screams, seemingly in retaliation for Xiao Jin's attack.

The zombie bird crashed into us again, surrounded by several water arrows, moving as fast as a shooting star streaking across the night sky.

"You focus on driving, I'll handle things outside." Lu Jing pressed down on Xiao Jin's hand holding the gun.

Xiao Jin glanced at him, then nodded in the end, before focusing on piloting the helicopter.

On the other side, Lu Jing's eyes sharpened, and he unbuckled his seatbelt without hesitation.

Then, with the strength to crush steel in an instant, he yanked hard, and the seatbelt snapped in his hand.

One end was skillfully wrapped around his wrist and tied in a tight knot to ensure he would be firmly secured during the upcoming operation.

Lu Jing's eyes swept over the broken seatbelt. After confirming that it was long enough for him to complete the next move, he took a deep breath and tensed all the muscles in his body to the extreme.

At that very moment, Lu Jing's leg muscles suddenly exerted force, like a long-awaited spring being released, and he kicked the bulletproof glass.

The glass shards scattered instantly from the impact, and a gust of wind swept through the cabin.

Fortunately, everyone was secured with seatbelts, preventing them from being blown down by the wind. But knowing full well the danger, Lu Jing insisted on heading up the mountain.

Lu Jing's movements did not pause at all. Using the reaction force of the kick, he shot out like an arrow.

His figure drew a graceful arc in the air, and with a powerful push of his arms, he landed steadily on top of the helicopter.

"Wow, Brother Lu, you..." Lu Jing's underling was so shocked that he stammered.

My goodness, this is high in the air! No matter how skilled you are, if you lose your footing, you'll turn into jam!

"Stop arguing and go help." The others tried to replicate Lu Jing's actions, but after they peeked out the window, they realized...

They were all so frightened that their bodies trembled.

"No way~ It's so tall~" Despite being such a big guy, he was trembling like a little mouse.

The burly player swallowed hard: "No way, Brother Lu, there's really no way to fix this."

Left with no other option, the group had to harass the zombie birds in the air from inside the helicopter.
