Before the people on the cruise ship could react further, they felt a violent tremor coming from the bottom of the ship.
It felt as if something was violently ramming the hull, each impact causing the cruise ship to tremble slightly.
"What the hell is it doing?" one player muttered.
The others grabbed onto whatever was around them to keep from being thrown off.
But the mutated giant octopus wasn't finished yet.
Perhaps finding it boring, the tentacles wrapped around the cruise ship began to exert force, attempting to toss the cruise ship up like a toy.
The entire cruise ship suddenly seemed to be shaken violently by an invisible hand, accompanied by the creaking sound of twisting metal, and the lights in the cabin began to flicker.
Panic spread rapidly like a plague. The already terrified residents of the Ark felt as if the sky was about to fall when they saw the enormous monster outside.
They originally thought that the land was full of zombies and that the sea was the safest place.
But now I realize that the mutated animals in the ocean are actually the most terrifying creatures.
"No, it will capsize the cruise ship, we have to stop it!" Wang Zixuan's voice suddenly rang out at this moment.
Her gaze swept over the crowd, focusing on Xiao Jin and Lu Jing.
However, her words were like a stone sinking into the sea, failing to stir up any ripples.
The players' eyes flickered, seemingly not finding Wang Zixuan's suggestion particularly good.
Stop it? How? Isn't that a deep-sea monster?!
Even if you put them all together, they'd probably only be the size of a tentacle tip. Are you really going to rush off to your death?
Wang Zixuan received no response and looked at everyone with a puzzled expression.
"Dragging this out is a death sentence anyway. Haven't you seen how many mutated animals are in the sea? Once the cruise ship sinks, nobody will be able to escape."
Wang Zixuan stared at her own people with a look of disappointment and frustration.
You could say it's Lu Jing and Xiao Jin, but why aren't you on my side? Afraid? Afraid of what? I didn't say I was pushing you to your deaths.
No matter what Wang Zixuan said, no one dared to agree, which made her so angry that she almost laughed.
But then she calmed herself down and looked at Xiao Jin seriously: "I believe you know what I just said."
And you, no matter what grudges we have, at times like this, cooperation is the only way to have the last laugh. This was said to Lu Jing.
Xiao Jin's expression didn't reveal anything, but Cen Nian secretly glanced at her.
Yes, Brother Xiao Jin doesn't need to worry at all. After all, she has plenty of ways to ensure her survival after the cruise ship sinks.
As for Wang Zixuan, only she knows what she's really thinking.
Lu Jing truly lived up to his reputation as someone who made people grit their teeth in hatred; he spoke without giving Wang Zixuan any face at all.
"Oh, you think you know something? What do you know?" he said sarcastically.
"Cooperation is out of the question. I don't trust people like you. What if you stab me in the back? It's not the first time, after all."
Recalling how he had fallen for this woman in another world, Lu Jing lost all interest in this so-called 'cooperation'.
Otherwise, why would I have almost killed Wang Zixuan? It was all because of this 'old grudge'!
Xiao Jin listened to the two gossip with great interest, but she kept an eye on the mutated giant octopus outside.
From the very beginning, it treated the cruise ship like a giant toy model, constantly making it spin around on the sea.
The higher-ups on the Ark couldn't sit still any longer and immediately launched a large-scale attack on the mutated giant octopus.
They also wanted to take this opportunity to try to escape the sea by starting the cruise ship, since there were still many zombies on the sea that hadn't boarded the ship!
Because the mutated giant octopus was restrained, the cruise ship actually started sailing.
But it only lasted a short while; those shells hitting the mutated giant octopus were like tickling it.
As for octopuses, each tentacle is considered an independent entity, and even if it is severed, it can quickly regenerate.
Therefore, not long after, the mutated giant octopus realized that the 'sparks' flying from the front could not hurt it at all, so it simply ignored them.
Instead, it stretched out its tentacles again, trying to catch the toy that had 'run away'.
Compared to ordinary ships, the Ark was a huge vessel, and its engine horsepower was unmatched by most ships.
But this does not include the tentacles of the sea's overlord.
Immediately afterwards, to the horror of everyone on the Ark, the cruise ship was towed back.
The mutated octopus was even more delighted, its tentacles flying wildly in the air, causing the seawater to churn violently and flood the cruise ship.
"Ahhhhh!!! Run! Get down there!" Large numbers of survivors began to flee in panic.
Fang Zhou and his group couldn't stay any longer; they needed to find a lifeboat and leave immediately.
However, after someone finally managed to grab a lifeboat and get to the surface, they were greeted by a dense swarm of mutated fish...
"Boom!!"
Just then, a mechanism set up by one of the players outside the casino was triggered.
With a loud bang, countless specks of dust poured in from the gap under the door.
The two, who were on the verge of exchanging blows due to their argument, were suddenly pulled back to reality, and the anger on their faces was instantly replaced by alertness.
Their eyes were fixed on the rickety door, and an ominous premonition filled the air.
"Are you leaving?" Cen Nian's voice was barely audible.
However, Xiao Jin, standing to the side, appeared unusually calm. She gently shook her head, her deep eyes flashing with unreadable emotions: "No rush, let's see how things go first."
