Chapter 601 Enemy Attack

"puff--!"

The mustachioed player was knocked down as if by an out-of-control truck, his entire body flying backward off the ground! Blood mixed with shattered internal organs gushed from his mouth, leaving a gruesome trail of blood in the air!

The dagger flew from his hand and stuck in the ground not far away.

"Ouch, what's that?"

"Back off quickly!"

"Thump!" The man with the mustache slammed heavily onto the hard mud, rolling several times before coming to a stop.

His chest visibly caved in, countless bones were broken, blood flowed from his seven orifices, and his body convulsed. It was clear that he was only exhaling from the earth and not inhaling it.

"Hiss~"

The players were all stunned, and when they saw the mustache's condition, they all gasped in shock.

What just happened was too exaggerated. If they were to take that blow, they probably wouldn't fare much better than the guy with the mustache.

Immediately afterwards, an extremely imposing figure, like an iron tower, slowly emerged from the shadows of the camp.

The leopard-man was nearly three meters tall, with muscles all over his body that looked like they were cast from refined steel, twisted and coiled, full of explosive power.

It wore heavy leather armor inlaid with metal plates, and with each step it took, the ground seemed to tremble slightly.

The other party slowly stepped forward and picked up the terrifying meteor hammer that was still covered with bits of blood and flesh.

The dark yellow beastly eyes coldly swept over the player with the small mustache, who was lying on the ground like a rotten sludge, as if looking at a bug that had been casually crushed.

"Commander!" The leopard warriors around him, including those injured by the mustache, endured their pain, struggled to their feet, and bowed respectfully to the burly orc, their voices filled with awe.

"Captain!" Xiao Jin understood.

A being rank higher than a battalion commander—no wonder they possess such terrifying strength and speed. It turns out that in this orc tribe, rank represents absolute power and overwhelming strength!

The leopard captain ignored his men, his cold gaze sweeping over the players inside the fence who had been restless just moments before, but were now pale and silent with fear.

Its voice wasn't loud, but it was like ice scraping against everyone's eardrums: "If there's a next time, this will be your fate."

"Chop this man into pieces and feed him to your mount!" It casually pointed its meteor hammer at the mangled mess of flesh on the ground.

All the players, including those who had just wanted to join the rush, felt as if they had been doused with a bucket of ice water, chilled to the bone.

Looking at the twitching mud on the ground, intense fear overwhelmed all anger and resentment.

No one dared to make a sound; they all cowered and lowered their heads, obediently retreating back into the filthy thatched hut.

"Yes." Several leopard warriors obeyed the order and quickly stepped forward to lift the man with the mustache up, then walked towards the other side of the camp.

Seeing this, the leopard captain finally withdrew his gaze with satisfaction.

Just as it was about to turn and leave, its cold, beastly eyes seemed to inadvertently sweep over Xiao Jin, who was standing quietly in the shadows not far away.

Its gaze lingered on Xiao Jin for an extremely brief moment, then swept over A Mo, who was about the thickness of a chopstick, on her shoulder, and a very subtle look of solemnity and scrutiny flashed in its eyes.

Without a word, it dragged its heavy meteor hammer, turned, and disappeared into the shadows of the camp.

The air was thick with the stench of blood and filled with a deathly silence.

Xiao Jin withdrew his gaze expressionlessly, showing no intention of sharing the hardships with the other players, and instead turned and returned to his small tent.

————

The night was as deep and still as water.

The campfire in the camp gradually died down, leaving only sporadic crackling sounds. The exhausted orcs had long since gone to sleep.

Time slipped away quietly, and only one hour remained until dawn.

Suddenly!

Xiao Jin's tightly closed eyes suddenly opened in the cold darkness!

At the same moment, in the shadows by her bedside, Amo's tiny snake head silently rose, its cold, vertical pupils turning towards a certain direction outside the camp, its scarlet tongue rapidly flicking in and out!

Other players who reacted similarly were those inside the thatched hut, leaning against the wooden fence with their arms crossed.

Their numerous near-death experiences taught them that even when resting at night, they should keep one eye open.

Almost in the next second!

"Waaaaaah!"

A piercing, ear-piercing bone whistle alarm, like the mournful cry of a night owl, tore through the deepest darkness before dawn! It instantly resounded throughout the entire leopard-man camp!

"Enemy attack—!!!"

"Wolf cubs are attacking! Get up! Grab your weapons—!!"

"Alert! Everyone line up! Prepare for battle!!!"

Terrified roars, frantic footsteps, the clanging of weapons, and the tearing sound of tents being roughly ripped open, like a boiling oil pan, instantly shattered the deathly silence of the entire camp!

Xiao Jin had already sprung up like a cheetah, grabbed the long knife beside the bed, and rushed out of the tent in an instant!

Before us was a raging inferno!

At the edge of the camp, dozens of fires shot into the sky, their greedy flames licking at the dry thatch and wooden sheds, turning the pre-dawn darkness a blood red! Thick smoke billowed, choking and making people want to vomit!

The sounds of battle cries, clashing weapons, dying screams, and furious roars of orcs surged in from all directions like a chaotic symphony!

By the flickering firelight, Xiao Jin could clearly see countless agile and swift black figures with wolf-like features darting out from the weak points of the camp like ghosts.

Through gaps in the fence, in blind spots of the watchtowers, in waist-high grass, and even on the tops of tents, these figures surged into the leopard-men camp like a black torrent bursting its banks!

In the darkness, their eyes gleamed with a bloodthirsty green light, their fangs reflected a cold glint in the firelight, and they brandished various sharp blades, slashing at anyone they saw and burning any tent they encountered!

It was the werewolf tribe's raiding force!

The werewolf commander, who had returned with his army, learned of the leopard tribe's misdeeds and, without even waiting until the next morning, devised a plan to launch a surprise attack in the middle of the night.

They took advantage of the darkest hour before dawn, when the leopard-men were least on guard, to begin their revenge!

The leopard warriors had just been awakened from their sleep. Many of them didn't even have time to put on their armor. They could only grab the weapons at hand in a panic and try to assemble and form ranks amidst the hoarse shouts of officers of all ranks, hastily preparing for battle.

"Quick! Block the gap!"

"Archers! Get to higher ground! Shoot!"

"Centurion! Take some men and block the west! Don't let them rush into the commander's camp!"

"Damn it! These wolf cubs have no sense of martial ethics!"

Chaos! Utter chaos! Flames spread, thick smoke obscured visibility, and the hastily assembled leopard warriors clashed with the fearless and well-prepared werewolf elites, blood and severed limbs splattering in the firelight!

The entire camp was instantly transformed into a bloody slaughterhouse!
