Chapter 85 Collision

"Wow, cool!" Pan Peng never gets to the point, so Xu Qing had no choice but to give him an elbow strike.

"What? Something happened?" Xu Qing asked, frowning.

"Yes, the person has been discovered. I need to go out for a while. You all need to be ready to leave at any time," Xiao Jin replied.

Pan Peng stopped smiling and nodded seriously with a straight face.

Xu Qing: "Okay."

...

Mao Liu's figure darted through the corridor, one hand gripping the crossbow tightly, pulling it back as he ran, the arrow slicing through the air, shooting towards the guard with murderous intent.

Unfortunately, the sharpness of cold weapons ultimately proved insufficient. The guards behind him were carrying submachine guns, and if Mao Liu hadn't been wearing a [protective shield] and [advanced protective suit], he would probably have been riddled with bullets long ago.

"Damn it, what bad luck!" Mao Liu cursed as he ran away with his head down.

Fate seemed to love playing tricks on him. Following the route carefully laid out by Xu Qing, Mao Liu was supposed to find the room where Xiao Jin and the others were staying without any trouble.

Unexpectedly, Mao Liu encountered a guard who was negligent in his duties.

You know, Boss Xiao almost turned your hometown upside down, and instead of fixing the lights, you're just here smoking!

Mao Liu happened to bump into the other person. The two looked at each other, their eyes blank. The other person lightly held a cigarette between his fingers, and Mao Liu waved to him in a daze.

What happened next made perfect sense. The other party roared, and Mao Liu fled frantically. He managed to send out the distress message with great difficulty. Now it was up to him whether he would die first or the big boss would arrive first.

"Ahhhh, help me, boss! When are you coming?!" Mao Liu yelled and jumped around like a frog hopping in a fire.

The guards behind him pointed at Mao Liu's actions and burst into laughter. Some of them deliberately missed their shots, making it seem more like they were deliberately toying with him than chasing him.

Mao Liu was in a state of panic, and his steps were even more chaotic and disordered. When he turned around, he realized that he had accidentally entered a dead end.

At the end was a large gate, surrounded by high walls that completely trapped him. A sign on the gate read, "High-risk experimental materials storage warehouse, keep away from unauthorized personnel."

Mao Liu, with a long face, pounded on the front door haphazardly: "No way!" Unfortunately, reality told him that one's luck could get even worse.

"Hahaha, try to run? You can't escape this time!"

The guard captain stepped forward from behind, his gun pointed directly at Mao Liu's chest. He grinned maliciously and said, "Kid, I know the person before wasn't you, but it was just your bad luck."

"That bastard made a mess of the lab. I'm finished, but you won't fare any better!" the guard captain roared, then gave the order.

"Spare his life, but break his arms and legs!"

Mao Liu leaned against the door, clutching the last [protective shield] tightly in his hand.

Just as despair surged like a tide, a figure flashed through the night like lightning. Accompanied by a sharp whooshing sound, a long sword appeared out of nowhere. Xiao Jin's figure was ethereal and ghostly, his shadow flashing like lightning. With each flash of the sword, blood splattered instantly.

"Who?" the guard captain roared, instinctively raising his gun and pointing it at the people behind him, ready to fire without any regard for the others standing behind him.

Xiao Jin naturally wouldn't give him that chance. The familiar coin struck the guard captain in the eye, and the man screamed and knelt down, clutching his face. Xiao Jin then swept past him with his knife.

The sound abruptly stopped, and the head that fell behind rolled away with a thud. Several bodies crashed heavily to the ground, and by then, no one had survived.

At this moment, Mao Liu, who was on the other side, had already uncontrollably shed tears.

He choked up as he exclaimed, "Boss, you've finally come!" This was not only a relief after asking for help, but also an incredible feeling of being moved by Xiao Jin's appearance.

As expected of a purple weapon, it leaves no trace of blood after killing someone.

Xiao Jin said to the eye-catching Mao Liudao, "Alright, that's too much noise. Come with me now."

Without pausing for a moment, the two rushed towards the stairs, their footsteps echoing in the empty stairwell. Soon they met up with Xu Qing and the other person who were waiting, and then the four of them rushed to the top floor together.

With so many people dead downstairs, this time it's not just a simple case of a spy. The lab's top management was alarmed, and the ordinary researchers hid in their rooms, afraid to make a sound. Apart from Xiao Jin and his group, the only people walking outside were a large number of guards who had been brought in.

Along the way, the group killed anyone they encountered. With Xiao Jin leading the way, they quickly carved a bloody path through the enemy lines.

As for the access control on the road, they left it to Xu Qing to handle. Xiao Jin admitted that she had underestimated him. As for the threats and inducements that occasionally appeared on the microphone, they all pretended not to hear them.

What a joke! They're not even from this world; they can't be threatened or bribed.

However, after rushing onto the rooftop, Xiao Jin felt something was off. This feeling reached its peak when he saw two completely different helicopters on the rooftop.

The helicopter on the left has "Slow Lab" written on its exterior, while the other one is entirely black with Chinese characters printed on it.

Xu Qing and the others who rushed up from behind were puzzled to see Xiao Jin stop there.

"What's wrong? Isn't there a helicopter?"

Xiao Jin: "Yes, there are two, and they're such different models..." Xiao Jin muttered to herself, her brows furrowed, a sense of foreboding rising within her. She quickly looked around, trying to find answers in the smallest details; an intuition told her that this was more than just a coincidence.

Pan Peng patted his chest: "That's good, that's good. Two are great. We'll fly whichever one is better."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a violent tremor suddenly struck the ground beneath their feet, as if the entire building was shaking.

Then came a deafening explosion, like the roar of a giant beast, instantly shattering the tranquility of the night. Screams and alarms blared, red lights flashed wildly, and the researchers rushed out of the building, scattering in all directions.

"What the hell happened? You blew up that building when you left?" Xu Qing immediately assumed it was Xiao Jin who did it without even thinking.

Mao Liu quickly explained, "How could that be? After the boss saved me, he took me to find you guys. Besides, do you really think the boss is crazy?"

Not having time to dwell on the flaws in Mao Liu's story, Xiao Jin's ears suddenly twitched.

Amidst the chaos, seven or eight figures rushed up to the top floor like ghosts. Their steps were swift and orderly, and the guns in their hands gleamed coldly in the moonlight. They were clearly the culprits who caused the riot below.

The two sides collided head-on, and the other side seemed to have not expected anyone to be there, stopping in place for a moment.
