Jiang Yuan blinked and said dryly, "Xia, you're a real hidden talent."
In Jiang Yuan's mind, Xia Ning was a somewhat bold girl, and most likely an outdoor enthusiast.
However, Xia Ning in front of him was wearing a black vest with both arms exposed, sporting a blue dragon on the left and a white tiger on the right, suddenly transforming into a tattooed big brother.
Xia Ning chuckled: "Tattoo stickers. Now that surveillance cameras have stopped, it's not safe to go out at night. It's safer to dress up as a bad guy."
After saying that, Xia Ning's face darkened, and she made a fierce expression.
Jiang Yuan gave a thumbs up: "All that's missing is a big gold chain."
Xia Ning said, "Just kidding. It's so hot. The stickers will be washed off by sweat in less than five minutes. They won't stick at all."
Jiang Yuan thought it made sense. He had almost bought a few tickets just now, but luckily he didn't.
After several encounters, Jiang Yuan increasingly felt that Xia Ning was extraordinary. She seemed more independent and intelligent than some of his mama's boys at the company. He resolved to get along well with her and have someone to look after him in the future.
Xia Ning smiled broadly, as if she were casually chatting about everyday things.
In the apocalypse, she doesn't intend to stand out, but she also absolutely cannot let anyone think she's easy to bully. She has to find the right balance.
When Xia Ning went to the basement to observe yesterday, she wanted to project a rebellious image, preferably one that was a bit crazy.
No matter how low-key she is, her living alone is easily noticed by those with ulterior motives. Even if she's confident in her attribute bonuses, believing she could easily take on ten strong men, there are still other players among them. Besides, it's better to avoid trouble; if she can intimidate them beforehand, she can save herself a lot of trouble.
After exchanging pleasantries, Jiang Yuan asked, as usual, "How many people live in your family now?"
“There are three people in my family. My parents are away on a business trip, and transportation is inconvenient right now. We are trying to find a way to come back,” Xia Ning said.
"Have any relatives been staying over recently?" Jiang Yuan asked.
Xia Ning shook her head.
This is an extreme survival game, not a battle against difficult relatives. The identity card issued by the system won't suddenly pop up and someone claim to be a relative.
"OK."
Jiang Yuan wrote the number three in his notebook, then whispered some gossip.
"Several families thought this registration was related to the distribution of supplies in the future, so they deliberately overreported their population, trying to see who was the fool!"
"And another thing, do you remember that dramatic girl on the 6th floor? When I went to register at her place today, I found there was a guy in her room. Of course, I had to ask what their relationship was and when they moved in, right? Oh my, those two reacted like they were in an idol drama."
Jiang Yuan darts left and right, perfectly embodying the dual roles of one person.
He first flicked his non-existent bangs and said gruffly, "Are your eyes just for decoration? Can't you tell I'm her man?"
Then he bit his lower lip and said in a high-pitched voice, "Brother Jianyuan, don't say that. People will misunderstand. Besides, when did I agree to be your woman?"
Then, he leaned against the wall with one hand and pinned the air against it, saying, "Shu Qilan, put away your coy act. I admit, you've successfully caught my attention."
Then Jiang Yuan leaned against the wall, looking up at the ceiling at a 45-degree angle: "Brother Jian Yuan, I have never thought about getting anything from you. I am satisfied just to watch you from afar."
After Jiang Yuan finished speaking, he pinned Shu Qilan against the wall again: "It's not important anymore. I'm officially informing you. Shu Qilan, you've already provoked me, so you have to take responsibility. I won't allow you to back out halfway."
After Jiang Yuan finished speaking, he turned to Xia Ning and said, "I really wanted to praise him at the time, 'You're really good at interrogation!' Guess what the woman replied?"
Xia Ning thought to herself that she only ever did free shopping for her idols and had never seen other fans go to great lengths at autograph sessions, so she honestly shook her head. She genuinely couldn't imagine such an epic romance between a nobody internet celebrity and his brainless fan.
Jiang Yuan was satisfied. The shrewd Xia Ning was not omniscient after all. Wang Wei praised Xia Ning a lot when she got home, which made him feel inexplicably threatened.
Jiang Yuan turned his head and his eyelashes trembled slightly, his voice shaking as he said, "She said, 'Do you dare to make a bet that you will fall in love with me first or I will fall in love with you first?'"
After vividly recounting the entire scene, Jiang Yuan exclaimed from the bottom of his heart, "They are really good actors!"
Xia Ning thought to herself: The two of them combined can't act as well as you.
After several encounters, Xia Ning gained a new understanding of this programmer. Who says that science and engineering guys don't love gossip? Gossip is human nature.
Jiang Yuan used to be too busy with work, which stifled his natural instincts. Now, he has replaced the gatekeeper, Lao Zhang, and become Xia Ning's main source of intelligence.
To encourage him, Xia Ning praised Jiang Yuan's memory, saying that he hadn't missed a single line of dialogue, and even gave him a Vermilion Bird temporary tattoo sticker.
Jiang Yuan loved it so much that he thought his pectoral muscles had gotten two inches thicker after applying it.
After seeing Jiang Yuan off, Xia Ning reminisced alone.
She was still eager for more, wishing she could be there in person. Young Jiang was truly a hidden talent; it was a shame he didn't apply to the Central Academy of Drama.
Oh dear, those two are even more abnormal than she imagined.
What a pity!
Her skill is talking to a walkie-talkie! It would be so much better if she had superhuman eyesight and super hearing, so that she wouldn't have to worry about missing the prime-time drama even when the power goes out.
Speaking of which, Queen Elizabeth II has passed away, so why are Jian Yuan and Shu Qilan's art styles still stuck 10 years in the past?
No, you can't say that.
Xia Ning tenderly took her sister's hand: "The world changes all the time, but they never forget their original aspirations."
Cry, all of you, cry!
Sister: Woof?
*
Two floors down.
Shu Qilan's cheeks flushed: "Didn't you say my home is in a slum? Why come here to suffer?"
