Day 11 of rafting

Dozens of people came to the beach with "Who cares".

Ai Shui walked towards the beach while selecting materials for his harpoon. In the end, he cut a branch that was as thick as a forearm and more than a meter long. He then took out his small knife and quickly sharpened one end of the branch.

When AiShuaiShuai reached the beach, his harpoon was ready.

No sooner said than done, in the instant that Ai Shui Shui caught a glimpse of the fish's shadow, he swiftly and accurately plunged his sword in, splashing water everywhere, and a fish fell to the ground.

A small gasp erupted from the crowd, everyone gazing at the fat fish atop the harpoon with a mixture of envy, jealousy, and longing.

Several young men followed suit and plunged into the sea, only to end up covered in seawater after all their efforts.

Listening to the compliments around him, "I love you" put his hands on his hips and said smugly, "There are techniques to fishing. You can't just look at the image on the water. The seawater will refract the image. You have to aim the harpoon at the image below the reflection."

He then tried to teach a player step by step, but after a few lessons he became impatient and threw a fish at him.

Having gotten a fish for free, the player's unhappy expression instantly vanished.

Soon, other players joined in, coaxing anyone to help them catch fish.

Some players, after learning fishing techniques, made their own harpoons and began practicing spearfishing.

After observing the players' various behaviors for a while, Xia Ning slowly withdrew from the crowd.

The next day, there were noticeably more players, and she saw many stalls selling [Gold Bars] and [Jewelry] obtained from the desert dungeon.

Xia Ning speculated that these players either had never entered ranked matches, or that ranked match dungeons, like Ji Li's, were deserted islands where the value of currency had plummeted, reverting to the primitive barter system.

Having experienced "Disaster City," Xia Ning knew that these glittering gold items weren't entirely useless, so she exchanged some not-too-scarce supplies for some gold and silver jewelry.

In fact, deep down she harbored a vague ambition: once she finished the survival game, she would use the money to retire on Earth, doing no work and focusing on creating "The Dog Planner's Transmigration Story".

She had it all planned out: first, an endless survival story, starting with a unicycle, then a quick transmigration melodramatic story, involving kidney and heart harvesting, killing one's wife as a righteous act, and finally, the wife admitting her mistake, only to discover that the substitute was actually herself...

Xia Ning's hundreds of hours of reading time must shine on the dog-like planner!

Xia Ning circled around a few more times. The trading area sold all sorts of things, with fire-starting tools and attribute-enhancing items being the most popular.

Xia Ning thought about the bottles and jars in her backpack and wondered if she could open a pharmacy someday—the kind with more poisons than antidotes.

That's what she thought, but Xia Ning currently has no plans to open a shop. She picked and chose a few items and managed to gather some information.

For her, the most valuable thing about the trade zone was that she could directly observe the situation of other players.

Some people seem to be adapting quite well.

Some people are on the verge of collapse.

The most frustrating thing about survival games is that they don't have a clear completion indicator, such as how many survival points you need to leave the game, or how you can choose to return to Earth after passing ten dungeons.

The road ahead was shrouded in a thick fog, and the end was completely invisible. I could only stumble and stagger forward.

As the sun set, Xia Ning, bathed in the glow of the setting sun, rocked her little wooden raft.

Just ten minutes after leaving the trading island, a wooden boat suddenly appeared from the side and blocked her way.

There were two men on the boat, one with shifty eyes and the other with broad shoulders and a thick waist, looking just like the skinny and fat spinning tops that Xia Ning had seen in TV dramas before.

Skinny Spinner was a master of the art of conversation, and he described their robbery as follows: "Hey girl, I saw you traded mineral water with another player. Look, we'd like to make a trade with you too."

Xia Ning smiled and said, "Shall we go back to the island? It's not far anyway."

The fat top snorted, "Don't try any tricks. I advise you to hand over your food and water obediently." Then he glared at his companion, "I told you your dawdling is useless."

Skinny Top gave Xia Ning a pained look and spread his hands.

“Look, my companion is a boorish man.”

Xia Ning shook her head: "You guys have good taste, choosing me as your target."

As she spoke, she whistled loudly.

The two men simultaneously drew their weapons, one holding an axe and the other a knife.

"Don't try anything funny!"

Xia Ning: "It's too late."

She has so many tricks up her sleeve, even the mimic chest monster would run away from her.

A pink and white figure leaped up from the seabed and crashed into the two people's small boat, nearly capsizing it.

Before the two could regain their footing, they were suddenly splashed with green liquid in their faces.

They suddenly felt their bodies go limp, and they couldn't even hold their weapons steady. If they hadn't quickly put their equipment back into their slots, they probably would have cut their own legs.

The skinny top cried out in terror, "You...you're a beast tamer?"

Xia Ning grinned maliciously: "You don't need to care who I am, take a look at your own condition first."

Upon hearing this, the two immediately checked their status information and saw that their stamina was marked with the word "(weak)".

The fat spinning top, though outwardly fierce, was inwardly weak, his legs trembling as he said, "What poison did you give us?"

“Bone-Melting Water, an orange-grade item,” Xia Ning gave them a disdainful look, “It’s such a waste to use it on you guys.”

The skinny top exclaimed in surprise: "An orange gadget?!"

Xia Ning smiled slightly: "I don't plan to sell the water, but we can make a new deal. You provide me with supplies that satisfy me, and I'll provide you with medicine to prevent you from becoming childless."
