Xiao Linlin pouted, her little face full of pride: "Like me! I'm especially valuable!"
"Too clever by half."
Su Lin tapped the little girl's head, and she snuggled back into his arms.
But she didn't forget to remind Anna, saying in a muffled voice, "You can't forget how good your older brother has been to you. You should always be grateful."
This little girl...
Anna glanced at her a few more times, her expression slightly strange, and thought to herself, "Why is this little brat trying to lecture me?"
She didn't ask Xiao Linlin about her background, but she kept a watchful eye on her.
This precocious child doesn't seem to be so easy to get along with.
"Go help Song Daqiang. He's out collecting trash. Help him with that, and we'll leave at dawn."
Su Lin paused, leaned against the wall and closed his eyes: "We'll escape at dawn. There are no new plans."
"good."
Anna nodded in agreement, a look of joy in her eyes.
Finally, the man calmed down a bit and didn't intend to cause trouble for anyone anymore, so he was finally able to proceed with the normal escape game procedure.
Su Lin really has no new plans; he just wants to rest now.
After a full day of intense fighting, even with the support of combat drugs, he couldn't shake off the mental fatigue and needed a short nap.
Even though the environment here is unsuitable, with blood and corpses everywhere, at least there is a minimum level of safety.
Xiao Linlin in his arms had calmed down considerably, her head bowed, quietly chatting with Su Lin, constantly talking about her past life.
Su Lin gradually became a little dazed, occasionally humming in response.
"Boss...Boss?"
After an unknown amount of time, the fat man's voice rang out beside him, waking Su Lin.
He suddenly opened his eyes and saw that the fat man and Anna were already standing in front of him, each carrying a large backpack.
Xiao Linlin, with her adorable eyes wide open, gazed at him from within his arms.
"How long have I been asleep?!"
Su Lin rubbed his temples, feeling quite surprised.
He actually fell asleep!
This was extremely unexpected. He had already developed the ability to sleep lightly, so it was impossible for him to be truly drowsy, let alone encounter someone walking up to him and still not be awake.
But this is what happened now. If it were still on a battlefield amidst the chaos of war, I would probably have been killed countless times by the enemy.
Su Lin felt a lingering fear. The fat man scratched his head beside him and said, "If we count from when I left... it was probably less than an hour, maybe fifty minutes?"
"It's 36 and a half minutes!"
Xiao Linlin said in a clear voice, "Big brother slept for 36 and a half minutes. I've been counting the whole time. I'm still protecting you!"
"Guardian?"
Su Lin laughed out loud: "Then I should thank you... huh?"
Su Lin was suddenly surprised to find that his mental state was much better than he had expected. He was usually more energetic than he was even after sleeping for eight hours in a peaceful environment.
This effect is almost comparable to the rest after deep hypnosis. He even felt that his heart felt much better, as if he had unloaded some unnecessary burdens, and he felt refreshed.
"Spiritual communication?"
Su Lin sensed something and looked at the girl in his arms; she had a haughty expression on her face.
I remember now.
While she was feeling dazed, the girl kept muttering something.
It now appears that she used her attendant skills to comfort and heal herself.
Who knew support minions could have such a clever use!
This is incredibly useful; it provides powerful support during intense combat!
Su Lin was delighted. He patted the girl's head and looked at the two people in front of him: "Is everything outside ready?"
"Yes, everything is taken care of."
Song Daqiang nodded and offered his opinion: "Boss, give me your backpack, I'll pack it for you. I found some good stuff here. There are a few Little Purple items in the boxes of the two dead survivors outside. They're all collectible crafts."
"Go by yourself."
Su Lin pointed to the backpack next to him, which was full of junk he looked down on, and let Song Daqiang do whatever he wanted with it.
Only someone like Fatty would be so engrossed in constantly comparing the value and distribution of various resources, finding more enjoyment in this than in the battle itself.
Anna handed her backpack to the fat man and sat down next to Su Lin, closing her eyes to rest.
She was exhausted; the day had been filled with too many complicated events, and she desperately needed a moment of peace.
"You can leave tomorrow, get some sleep, I'll keep watch over you."
Su Lin glanced at Anna and said calmly, "Although we don't know what we'll face after escaping, at least we're sure we can get out."
Anna nodded gently: "Mmm..."
She hesitated for a moment, then finally mustered her courage and gently rested her head on Su Lin's shoulder.
The man did not refuse, and Anna felt a little pleased.
"Get off me! You're stepping on me!"
Xiao Linlin resisted and was restless in his arms. Su Lin pressed down on the restless little master: "You also need to rest, don't move around."
"All right."
Xiao Linlin stared at Anna's beautiful face beside her, and suddenly asked, "Big brother, where is our nearest escape point? How many escape teams are there?"
Anna opened her eyes in surprise; she hadn't expected this little girl to know these things.
Didn't the fat guy say this girl was a native human? Is she an NPC?
Unbeknownst to them, once recruited, the followers automatically acquire basic information about the escape game's mechanics and possess the experience memories of the corresponding team, enabling them to better assist their survivors.
