Chapter 32 I give to people, but it has nothing to do with them.

"As expected, I was rejected."

The woman still smiled, not surprised by Su Lin's answer, as if she had expected it: "Sir, I think you wouldn't mind hearing me say one more word before you take action."

"I don't have the habit of listening to people talk nonsense."

Su Lin slowly drew his Tang sword, only to find that the three people in front of him were completely unprepared, still standing silently with their hands clasped, seemingly waiting to die.

Something's not right!

Despite all three of them being armed and wearing defensive tactical uniforms, their eyes showed no fighting spirit; they simply stared calmly at Su Lin.

This made Su Lin frown. There were clearly three warriors, yet they didn't want to face the battle?

“They won’t fight you. I’ve already emphasized that to them.”

The woman tossed her hair aside and smiled slightly: "I predicted the outcome of the battle. You won, and it will be a very easy victory."

"predict?"

Su Lin looked at the woman with a wary look in his eyes; this woman seemed to know something.

"Look at my memory, I completely forgot to introduce myself."

The woman smiled gently and winked at Su Lin: "Hello, my name is Xu Zhiyi, a player in waiting area D-3, and my escape talent is: God's Cardholder."

"The talent effect is: the predictive ability of Tarot cards; it is very accurate in some minor matters, roughly equivalent to a [prophet], which is a rather special ability."

Xu Zhiyi looked at Su Lin and said softly, "Before each game, I predict the outcome of that round."

"Although I have only experienced the escape game three times, the results of the first two tests were accurate, but the results of this time were a little different."

Xu Zhiyi paused for a moment, then looked up at Su Lin intently: "My fate has two completely different outcomes, one of life and one of death. The probability of life is small, and the probability of death is large."

That's interesting.

Su Lin observed the woman with great interest, seeing her as a player who could predict the outcome of the game.

"You mean, there's a small chance you can kill me?"

Su Lin spoke calmly, and Xu Zhiyi shook her head: "No, there was no battle between us. To be precise... we gave up the fight."

"Even if you were to kill us now, we would not fight back and would calmly face death."

Xu Zhiyi smiled and said, "Because the gap in strength between us is too great, in the future I predict, any resistance we put in will be futile, and I will not do anything in vain."

"I'm just curious about the very thing about us living or dying; at the predictive level, it's unlikely that contradictory predictions will come true."

"But it happened, which only proves one thing: the future outcome can fluctuate wildly due to an uncertain factor."

"And you, esteemed sir! You are the uncertainty factor; your thoughts and choices have greatly influenced the effectiveness of my talent."

Xu Zhiyi paused, then lowered her voice and said softly, "If you want me to live, I will live; if you want me to die, I am powerless to change it."

Life and death are determined by a single thought, and so do the others.

This is almost unimaginable; there is someone whose strength is so great that no matter what method is used, they cannot be defeated and can only passively wait for his pity and mercy.

Xu Zhiyi had to admit that she relied heavily on her escape skills. Her powerful talent allowed her to find two capable teammates, which enabled her to escape successfully and reap considerable benefits in the first two escape games.

This third escape was the only one she couldn't find a way out of; no matter how she tried to predict it, she couldn't control the future outcome.

She only had one option with a higher chance of survival: beg for mercy.

"I'm not interested in what you're saying."

Su Lin stood up, his Tang sword slightly raised, pointing directly at the two men beside the woman: "I can sense that you are excellent soldiers, you must be from military backgrounds."

"Take up your weapons, and I will allow you to resist."

Su Lin spoke calmly, this was the only respect he showed to his fellow human beings.

Attacking soldiers is an insult to Su Lin's past combat career, after all, he once had such an honor.

As soon as Su Lin finished speaking, Xu Zhiyi raised her right hand. Two calm-looking men drew their guns, but instead of aiming them at Su Lin, they simply dropped them.

At the same time, they took off their tactical uniforms, dropped their backpacks and supplies, and stood there empty-handed.

"They won't fight you; a soldier's orders are to obey."

Xu Zhiyi looked at Su Lin with a smile, pointed to the supplies on the ground: "These are my means of surrender. You can get them whether you kill us or not."

“I’m giving you everything, so why don’t we have a proper chat? Perhaps one day you’ll need my help to utilize my talent… We can actually become friends.”

Xu Zhiyi spoke very sincerely, and that is indeed the case.

Su Lin wanted profit; killing was merely a means to achieve his goal.

Su Lin raised an eyebrow and glanced at her: "Is it like you're bewitching these two people? Or like you're trying to persuade the rest of my roommates with the rhetoric of unity?"

"As expected, the probability is too small; you have no mercy on those who beg for mercy."

Xu Zhiyi sighed slightly, but still did not give up, and smiled as before: "No, no, no, sir, you misunderstand. I have never treated you like any other person."

"Of course, I still want to earn your trust. As I said, I still believe that we can become friends in the future."

After Xu Zhiyi finished speaking, he took out a pair of handcuffs from his pocket and locked himself to the iron bed.
