"Smack!"
Su Lin reacted extremely quickly, instantly drawing his sword and turning around to slash down!
"Clang!"
A red light exploded before my eyes; something had been cleaved in two by a Tang sword.
After Su Lin dodged to cover, his gaze fell on the debris on the ground. It was an arrow that had been split in two by a Tang sword. The material looked like wood, but it had a metallic feel to it when cleaved by the Tang sword.
The enemy is launching a sneak attack!
Su Lin squinted. He could already see a man holding a bow and arrow standing outside the pharmacy, the bowstring drawn and aimed at him.
He's an escape room player too!
During their brief eye contact, both of them realized who the other was.
"Great skills, buddy!"
The archer drew his bow and smiled, expressing his praise: "My arrow is very fast. You are the first person to dodge it. Which district are you from? What's your name?"
Su Lin did not answer, but waited silently behind the cover, carefully feeling the faint stinging sensation on his skin several times.
Xiao Linlin, who was in his arms, was assisting him. She had already taken out different combat potions from her backpack and was injecting them into Su Lin to temporarily improve his various combat ability indicators.
"Judging from your appearance, you're probably playing with a child. Aren't you worried about being a burden?"
The archer aimed at Sulin but did not shoot.
His previous sneak attacks had failed, and with cover in place, he was even less certain whether Su Lin could evade them.
This is a master, unlike those trashy survivors I used to ambush.
“They were lying in ambush, deliberately not searching the outer containers, which made us lower our guard.”
Xiao Linlin whispered in her arms, "They know there's a welfare program here, and they're using it to fish. It should be a full squad, and there are two more people hiding."
"Um."
Su Lin nodded silently, her eyes constantly scanning the glass doors of the pharmacy.
He was certain that the inside of the house was safe, and that the other two people were lying in ambush outside, ready to break the glass and launch a new attack at any time.
Unexpectedly, the consequences of his ambush on others in the very first game have soon fallen on his own head.
With the injection of various combat potions, Su Lin felt his body filled with power, and his strength reached a new level.
"Dude, we can actually have a talk."
The archer was still trying to distract Su Lin, and he chuckled as he said, "You must be having a hard time being held like this by me. To be honest, I'm not even sure if I can beat you."
"How about this, you give me some of the stuff in your backpack, and I'll leave right away, okay?"
Before Su Lin could answer, Xiao Linlin, who was in his arms, suddenly asked in a clear voice, "This escape game is a puzzle game. Aren't you afraid that you won't be able to escape in the end by starting a battle between teams so quickly?"
"It doesn't matter, I didn't bring many supplies with me anyway."
The archer shrugged and smiled broadly: "Even if we fight to the death, I'll only lose some resource coins. Besides, this match looks pretty difficult. There aren't even any regular escape points, so I'm too lazy to escape."
This guy is good at cannibalism, or rather... he never intended to get normal search rewards in the game, he just wanted to get resources by killing other players.
"His team probably has a talent similar to the [Safety Box], which allows them to carry out important supplies after the murder without worrying about failing to escape."
Xiao Linlin whispered to Su Lin, "And since he quickly ambushed here at the start of the game, it's highly likely that his team has a map, which is why they know there's a low-risk area here."
map?
Excellent, this is exactly what Su Lin currently lacks most.
In the previous murder mystery game, the map wasn't very useful, but in puzzle-solving games, the map's importance is undeniable.
However, taking down the opponent and obtaining the map will not be an easy task. Judging from the ambush just now, this team has a strong ability to hide. At least Su Lin did not discover the ambush in advance.
"Okay, it's not a good thing for us to keep supporting each other like this; it will only benefit other teams."
Su Lin looked up and agreed to the archer's suggestion: "I have some potions and consumables in my backpack. I can share some with you, but you have to give me the welfare benefits here."
"Wow, brother, you really have a big heart!"
The archer's eyes lit up when Su Lin softened his attitude, but he pretended to be nonchalant and continued to bargain: "But it's not good for you to live on welfare alone, is it? How about this, you can search for the welfare recipients, but you have to give me some things too."
"Brother, I'm not greedy. Just don't let me suffer any losses. After all, I was here first, so even if we're going to cooperate, we have to show some sincerity."
The archer paused, then deliberately reminded him, "I'm playing solo, and I think you're a good guy. Let's team up this time, and next time we can queue up and escape together."
He was intentionally trying to lower Su Lin's guard; judging by the fluency of his words, this was probably not the first time he had done this.
Su Lin's face showed interest, and after hesitating for a moment, he nodded in agreement: "Okay, put the bow down."
"no problem!"
The archer readily sheathed his bow, and Su Lin then stepped out from behind cover, carrying a girl in one arm and holding a Tang sword in his right, and stood in front of the archer.
He maintained a relatively safe distance, his eyes fixed on the archer, his vigilance evident.
This is only natural, and the archer said understandingly, "Hey, don't look at me like that. How about this... I'll show you my backpack too! Wouldn't you say I'm being very loyal?"
After saying that, the archer threw the backpack in front of Su Lin, indicating that Su Lin should search it.
