Soon, the three of them were covered from head to toe with several layers of thick cardboard, like a bulky shell covering their bodies. Although it somewhat hindered their movement, the three of them were filled with excitement.
"Whoosh! Sweetie went out to kill zombies! I've been dreaming of doing that!"
"This is so cool! Wearing this cardboard makes me feel like I'm wearing armor!"
"Hahaha! Watch me single-handedly cut through the zombie horde, wielding a club to the left and a knife to the right, it looks so cool!"
……………………………………………
Each person held a machete and a solid iron rod in their hands. The young man named Brother Mao even held two machetes and had a solid steel rod strapped to his back.
"Let's go! Let's collect supplies and kill some zombies while we're at it!"
"Okay! Let's go!"
"GOGOGO! Let's go!"
The three of them took several snakeskin bags, turned around, and went out of the house to the building downstairs.
The once bustling neighborhood was now eerily quiet, and there wasn't a soul in sight at the nearby pavilion.
As the group approached the corner, they could see several police cars at the entrance of the residential area, with several armed police officers and soldiers standing there, and roadblocks already set up at the entrance.
Cars can be seen driving in from outside from time to time, and residents can be seen running into the community.
Before entering the community, these people were required to undergo a full body check. If they had any wounds of unknown origin, they would be immediately taken away for quarantine.
"Brother Mao, it looks like we're not going to get out of here!"
"What are you afraid of? Have you forgotten that there's a hidden entrance in this neighborhood? We can go out through there without being discovered!"
Upon hearing this, one of them followed Brother Mao to that place, and they soon found a gap in a garden.
The gap was hidden in the weeds, covered by a wooden plank, and further blocked by bricks, so no one noticed what was going on.
The opening wasn't too small, and the group didn't waste much time. After clearing away the outermost bricks, they crawled out.
The three people who came out did not delay and immediately ran towards the supermarket closest to the community.
They encountered many patrol cars along the way, but they managed to evade them all.
The biohazard alarms had long since stopped, leaving only the repeated broadcasts reminding all residents to return home and not to go out.
The streets were unusually empty, with cars rushing by and pedestrians running occasionally.
"Wow! The empty, silent streets, with the continuous broadcasts, the atmosphere is just so great!"
"I feel so excited, I just want to find a zombie and practice my skills!"
Completely immersed in the excitement of their fantasy, the three wandered around the alley and soon arrived at the small supermarket.
This supermarket was converted from a three-story residential building. The first floor was expanded to become the supermarket, while the third floor was the owner's house, and there was also a small courtyard at the back.
"The owner of this supermarket is a middle-aged man who is still single. He's probably back in his hometown right now, so let's go in and shop for free without worry."
Seeing the closed supermarket doors directly in front of them, the three of them immediately went around to the back courtyard and climbed over the low wall to get inside.
Perhaps the boss left in a hurry, because the back door was not locked, and the three of them easily pushed it open and entered.
After everyone entered the supermarket, a white cat covered in blood jumped out of a second-floor window.
A pair of whitish eyes scanned the surroundings, the nose sniffed the air, and then the gaze locked onto the open door below.
"Meow...hoohoo...hoo..."
A low growl came from the white cat's throat, and its eerie face revealed a bloodthirsty murderous intent.
...
"Sigh... these three are really asking for trouble. Aren't they just looking for trouble?"
Looking at the mutated white cat that had followed them in, Mo Ran could only sigh helplessly.
Just now, the surveillance footage clearly showed that the shop owner didn't want to hand over his white cat pet, so he tricked the police who came to search the premises and hid it.
The moment it appeared, it was immediately obvious that the white cat had mutated and was now chasing the shop owner all over the supermarket.
Immediately afterwards, the two people and the cat disappeared on the second floor. Seeing the white cat covered in blood, Mo Ran knew without a doubt what would happen to the shop owner.
"We need to notify the police immediately. Human infections have already appeared in many rural areas and small towns, so suppressing them shouldn't be too difficult."
"But if it breaks out in densely populated Y City, not to mention that it is relatively close to the city center, it is questionable whether it can be suppressed once a large-scale outbreak occurs."
Zombies are nothing more than creatures with an extremely rapid rate of infection and bodies that never seem to tire.
However, if they are discovered in time and suppressed in a comprehensive manner, these zombies will not be able to cause any trouble.
Mo Ran edited and packaged the video, then sent it directly to the Y City official center.
...
"Bang"!
"These three damn bastards, don't they think we're busy enough? Are they trying to get themselves killed by coming out here now?!"
"Immediately dispatch the nearest police force to the scene as quickly as possible. Also, make sure to kill that mutated cat completely; don't let it escape!"
Upon seeing this video, the head of the official center was so angry that he slammed his fist on the table and stood up.
...
The three of them were shocked by what they saw as soon as they stepped into the supermarket.
The supermarket was in complete disarray, with many shelves overturned and askew, as if it had been the site of a fierce battle.
