The two nodded and bent down to carefully wrap the buns.
Because making steamed buns takes a long time, all three of them got up early; it was still barely dawn.
Fortunately, it was already summer and not too cold, so the fermentation time of the dough was shortened a lot, and the three of them became much more skilled.
In just a short while, all the xiaolongbao were wrapped.
Suddenly, Ling Miao stopped what she was doing.
Is someone outside?
The two stopped as well. Susan wiped her hands with her apron and listened intently. "Did I hear that right?"
Ling Miao took off her apron and shook her head. "I really heard it."
She wants to go out and take a look.
Rella and Susan exchanged a glance and quickly followed her out. It was still dark; who could be around at this hour?
Is this really the place?
"It should be here; there are no other shops around."
Chen Qi pointed to the huge signboard, "This must be such a big and delicious restaurant."
"It's not open yet."
One of them took off his hat and fanned himself, then pulled open his collar, saying, "It's so hot, we're too early, it's not open yet."
They walked quickly, while the group behind them would probably take several more hours.
“I told you we wouldn’t get any food if we came early,” said Chen Qi’s roommate, fanning himself. “You run so fast, like a cannonball is shooting up from behind.”
Chen Qi shrugged, ignoring his roommate's sarcasm. He looked the restaurant up and down when, unexpectedly, the door opened, revealing three figures.
"Holy crap—"
He was startled and quickly took a few steps back, the restaurant lights illuminating the person's face.
