Thinking about it made Ling Miao happy, and she hummed a little tune.
Little did they know that the restaurant in front had already erupted in chaos.
Where have military academy students ever eaten such delicious food?
There are quite a few cases where people have fought or even retaliated over a steamed bun.
Avril and the others set up their Star Brains with Chen Qi, aiming them directly at their faces, not caring if it meant making things worse.
My former close roommate now has a fierce look in his eyes.
"You've already eaten two, so this last one should be mine!"
"Whoever gets it keeps it."
"How come I never noticed how shameless you were before?"
"If you have any shame, will you even get to eat steamed buns?"
As he spoke, the man took a big bite out of the bun. "I've eaten it all now, do you still want some?"
He proudly waved the half-eaten bun in his hand.
Unexpectedly, the other person rushed over, grabbed the bun in his hand, and swallowed it whole.
"That's what they call 'all's fair in war,' hehe—"
"Damn it, you're disgusting, you actually ate my saliva."
The restaurant was bustling with noise; some were watching the excitement, while others were eating their steamed buns.
Without exception, everyone who was still holding a bun hurriedly stuffed it into their mouths in a few bites.
A few people even stuffed two steamed buns into their mouths, choking so badly their eyes rolled back.
As soon as Vatria reached the restaurant entrance, she saw the restaurant filled with noisy students.
His face darkened, and the teachers behind him also frowned.
"What's all the noise about?"
The restaurant instantly fell silent, and the students sat up straight, occasionally stealing glances at the teacher's expression.
The group walked to the table and sat down. The entire restaurant was full of students, and this table was one of the few that was empty.
As the robots moved around, they carried freshly steamed buns and rolled them about.
The thick, milky-white fog drifted and dispersed along its trajectory.
The teachers who had just sat down immediately brightened up, ignoring the students around them and focusing their attention on the electronic display screen in front of them.
Today's breakfast—
Braised Pork Xiao Long Bao
Spicy and Sour Bamboo Shoot Buns
Sauerkraut and minced meat buns
Steamed dumplings with fresh meat and corn
Salted duck eggs
White porridge
After eating there for several days, how could they not know that the restaurant owner was an outstanding cook? They definitely wanted to order one of each of these dishes!
Several people gathered together to discuss, and Vatria summarized everyone's requests. She then called the robot over, ready to take their order.
The round robot in front of me had a human-like display screen flashing red, with a large 'NO' appearing on the screen.
The group still didn't understand what it meant.
The little robot in front of me suddenly spoke up—
"The last basket of steamed buns has been sold out."
"The last basket of steamed buns has been sold out."
"The last basket of steamed buns has been sold out."
It rang three times in total.
The cold, indifferent mechanical voice of the robots echoed throughout the restaurant.
The teachers' expressions froze on their faces, and the students around them moved cautiously.
The restaurant was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
"Then, what else is there?"
Vatria opened and closed her lips for a long time before she heard the sound.
The teachers looked on with hope as the menu appeared on the robot's screen.
It was empty.
Four bowls of plain porridge hung pitifully on the screen.
There were six of them, and they couldn't even get a bowl of plain porridge.
Vatria wiped her face, noticing out of the corner of her eye that a student was eating a steamed bun.
You could tell from his face how delicious the bun was.
The steamed bun was white and soft; when you put your finger in it, it would leave several indentations, along the bite mark.
He could clearly see the filling inside, which was diced bamboo shoots, sour and spicy, with a crunchy texture when you bit into them.
The other person's eyebrows and eyes furrowed happily, their expression beaming, which gave you an idea of just how delicious that steamed bun must be.
The student who was eating a steamed bun suddenly noticed something and looked in the direction of the gaze.
Meeting Vatria's gaze,
Student: "...Hello, teacher?"
Vatria coughed lightly, awkwardly shifting her gaze, and lectured in a high-sounding manner: "Your primary task right now is to train hard, not to eat steamed buns..."
"Although the steamed buns are delicious... no..."
He coughed a few times, but still couldn't continue the story; he felt his face turn red.
Feeling the gazes of his colleagues and the students in the restaurant, he sat down.
Suddenly, a steamed bun appeared in my sight.
He looked in the direction of the steamed buns and saw the student from before. The student looked pained and said, "Teacher, I can't finish this. Can you help me?"
Vatria's eyes lit up, and she quickly grabbed the bun, stuffing it into her mouth while patting the student's shoulder with one hand.
"What a good child!"
The other teachers around seemed to be inspired and began to look around.
Students who met her gaze quickly looked away, lowering their heads to avoid eye contact. Some even swallowed the bun whole, their cheeks bulging as they mumbled something indistinctly.
"Teacher, I'm gone!"
"Mine's all gone too!"
"What should I do? I'm still not full!"
A pair of bright, watery eyes looked over, their faces full of grievance.
Teachers: (Image of a blank, lifeless JPG)
They were so angry they laughed. Did they think they were idiots?
Are you that easy to fool?!
The teachers exchanged glances and grinned maliciously: their energy was still too much; they needed to double the training when they got back.
They have absolutely no respect for their teachers.
Then enjoy the loving education your teacher provides.
The students, completely unaware of what was happening, were still munching away on their rice when suddenly a chill ran down their spines.
