Chapter 128 Potato Shreds Rolls

Fortunately, they all lived nearby, otherwise Ling Miao would have been really worried about Ruila taking the twins home.

Hobson is alright; he's an adult male and a retired soldier.

But it was really inconvenient for Rella to have two children with her.

After much deliberation, Ling Miao decided to try persuading the other party to move back tomorrow.

At first, they lived in the backyard with Lin Lingmiao.

But after a few days, Rella felt uncomfortable, and since no one was at her mother's house, she simply took her two children back to live there.

Speaking of Odeya, Ling Miao recalled what Rella had told her.

Counting the days, the other party should be back by now.

It should be tomorrow.

With that thought in mind, she quickly fell asleep after washing up.

The next morning, everyone got up early because they had already planned out the breakfast they needed to make the day before.

The group prepared in an orderly manner.

The kitchen was bustling with activity for a while.

"By the way, Miaomiao, besides this potato shredded pancake, what else are you planning to make?"

Ling Miao had thought about this problem. She had originally planned to make savory pancakes, but she forgot to make the sauce.

One of the seasonings, I haven't had time to buy yet.

So I had to give up the idea.

"Let's make some sauerkraut pancakes, beef pies, and pork and scallion pies."

Having worked with Ling Miao for so long, everyone roughly knows the next steps.

So, some prepared the fillings, while others kneaded the dough. The kitchen staff had clear divisions of labor, and things didn't seem too busy.

"Rella"

Suddenly a shout rang out, and Rella was startled. She straightened up and looked outside. "I think I heard someone calling me."

Ling Miao wiped her hands and followed uncertainly, "I think I heard it too."

The two exchanged a glance and walked out of the kitchen.

Sure enough, two figures were standing at the entrance to the dining room, directly opposite the kitchen door; it was Audya.

Grandma Odeya is back.

Rella exclaimed with delight and ran forward, "Mom, you're finally back!"

Audya chuckled and patted Rella's hand, then nudged her old friend beside her. "Look, this is Uncle Vanod. He used to hold you when you were little."

The elderly man beside me was all smiles; you could tell he was quite old, a smile blooming on his deeply lined face.

"It's Rella."

"They're so big now."

"Hello, Uncle Vanod."

To be honest, Rella didn't have a deep impression of him, but he would send her gifts during holidays, so Rella wasn't unfamiliar with him.

"Old friend, this is the restaurant I told you about that has really good food."

Audya chuckled and patted the other person on the shoulder. "You'll definitely like it."

Vanod's furrowed brows relaxed slightly upon hearing this. "Then you must try it."

"Please have a seat, we're still busy. We're having pancakes today."

Ling Miao greeted the other party, glanced curiously at the frowning Vanod, and then went back to the kitchen.

Rella's expression turned somewhat disappointed as soon as she entered the kitchen.

"What's wrong?""

She shook her head, pursed her lips, and after a long while said, "The matter of the vineyard must be very serious."

Uncle Vanod is the manager of the vineyard.

Without special permission, he has always lived in the manor on Tata Star and is not allowed to go out at will.

This is also why, over the years, neither of the two families has ever taken the initiative to visit each other.

Ling Miao didn't know what to say, so she patted her shoulder and comforted her, "Don't think about it for now."

"Perhaps things have already taken a turn for the better."

Rella suppressed her inner turmoil, "That's the only way to think about it."

Seeing her distress, the others didn't say anything, and their hands moved more and more skillfully, kneading out dough one by one.

The smooth, soft dough is shaped in your hands and then wrapped with the marinated filling.

Hobson had never done this kind of work before, but that didn't stop him from learning quickly. Besides, making pies wasn't technically difficult; it was mainly about putting the filling inside, so he picked it up quickly.

One by one, the compacted pies were born from his hands, and Ling Miao placed the finished pies on the pan to fry.

The pale golden oil covered the entire frying pan.

This frying pan was specially customized by Ling Miao. It's the first choice for making pancakes and savory pancakes, and it can fry many at once.

The oil sizzled as the fluffy white pancakes slowly cooked in it, gradually turning golden brown, their aroma wafting through the air outside the restaurant.

Audya patted her old friend's arm. "Don't worry, smell it, doesn't it smell wonderful?"

Vanod managed to compose himself before he could smell the fragrance that filled his nostrils.

"Really? I wonder what they're making?"

The aroma of delicious food can always soothe a good person's mood. He can finally put aside his other worries and have the mood to think.

"Rella said breakfast is bread today, so we should eat bread."

Vanod was surprised. "Isn't breakfast the same every day?"

Audya nodded. "Of course, this restaurant only has a few people, and it would be quite complicated to provide a huge variety of breakfasts every day."

"This is all for manpower."

As we all know, the cost of hiring human resources is high, so some restaurants in interstellar space use the euphemism "restaurant" to refer to their facilities.

In reality, they are all robot chefs who stir-fry and cook according to pre-set programs, but the dishes made this way always seem to lack something and taste bland.

Restaurants with real chefs are expensive and only serve for a limited time each day.

Chefs are considered to be highly skilled professionals, and they are respected wherever they go.
