"I'm late."
Nona looked regretfully at the empty iron bucket and the almost completely empty side dishes.
"There's still some tomorrow, so we can only do it tomorrow."
Ling Miao felt somewhat apologetic. She hadn't seen the other person and had assumed they weren't coming.
Nona looked around at the crowd standing in a group, each holding a roll-like food with a rich and juicy filling.
Green and orange vegetables paired with tender meat glistened with oil under the sunlight, and waves of aroma wafted from their hands.
She couldn't help but look away, and for the first time, she complained about her husband's slow and sluggish movements.
If he hadn't been so slow, he might have already started eating.
Thinking of this, Nona looked up and glanced around again.
He was always unhurried; if it weren't for his youthful appearance, his slow and gentle movements would have made him seem more like an old man.
I don't even know where I am now.
Nona stood on tiptoe and looked out of the crowd again.
"What are you looking at?"
A gentle, calm voice suddenly came from behind her. Nona rolled her eyes inelegantly. "I'm looking at you. You slowpoke, you've finally arrived."
Sheng Qinian chuckled, "I'm an old man, what are you, some old lady who rolls her eyes at her age?"
"Hmph, it's no fun talking to you."
Nona pouted, "If it weren't for you, I definitely would have eaten it already."
As she spoke, she couldn't help but punch her husband beside her, "It's all your fault, you were too slow."
"Haven't you tried it yet?"
Sheng Qinian pushed up his glasses and said, "If I get it, I'm lucky; if I lose it, it's fate. You can't rush things."
"Tell me where you can get hot tofu? It's all sold out."
The two started bickering, which made Ling Miao, who was watching from the side, smile like an aunt.
The combination of a handsome man and a beautiful woman, refined and elegant, is like a romance novel protagonist brought to life.
She absolutely loves shipping couples!
They were so engrossed in watching that they accidentally bumped into the pot and pan next to them with a loud 'bang', and both of them looked over at the same time.
Ling Miao was a little embarrassed, and before she could speak, a surprised voice came from behind her.
"The streamer?"
She looked up and saw Nona's husband.
"You know her?"
Nona looked at her husband curiously; he had never mentioned knowing the anchor.
“Yes.” Sheng Qinian looked at Ling Miao in surprise, then lowered his head to explain to his wife beside him, “She is the streamer I told you about before who knows how to make traditional cuisine.”
"It's been a long time since I watched your live stream. I didn't expect you to have come to the capital planet."
Ling Miao then came to her senses and waved her hands repeatedly, saying, "I'm just here to participate in a food festival. I'll go back as soon as the time is up."
That's such a shame.
Sheng Qinian was somewhat disappointed; he had wanted to discuss the methods of making traditional cuisine with the other party.
Nona immediately saw through her husband's thoughts. "Don't you dare. This isn't the time for work. If you scare away the anchor, what will you do with Della?"
Thinking of his spoiled and crybaby daughter, Sheng Qinian was at a loss and could only surrender.
The little girl is quite clever and mischievous; she's so young, and everyone in the family spoils her with her sweet talk. Yet, she's also prone to crying and seems to cater to different people depending on who they're dealing with.
She can be quite mischievous when her elders are around, but she restrains herself somewhat when she's with him. You can't scold her, so you can only hold her in your palm and protect her carefully. She's truly a little bodhisattva.
Sheng Qinian sighed helplessly. Nona looked at her husband and knew he was thinking of their daughter. She couldn't help but laugh. If you asked her, the one who spoiled Della the most in the family was still her husband.
But he didn't realize it at all, and insisted that the elders and she spoiled their daughter the most.
Nona pouted and looked at Ling Miao. "Excuse me, do you have any snowflake crisps left?"
Ling Miao shook her head, "I'm sorry, we don't have any left."
"I see."
Nona was disappointed. Before leaving home, she had specifically told her daughter she was going to buy her favorite candy, so as not to take her with her. Now look what happened!
The thought of facing the little crybaby when she got back gave her a headache.
"Okay, I'll tell you how to make snowflake crisps, so it will be easier for you to make them yourselves in the future."
Nona looked up at her husband, who was deep in thought and hadn't spoken yet.
Do you know how maltose is made?
"Um?"
Suddenly, a question was asked. Ling Miao was startled and looked up to see Sheng Qinian staring intently at her.
"Know."
“The method for making maltose is the same,” Sheng Qinian turned to look at his wife, “Della will definitely like it.”
Nona looked at her husband, knowing he was indulging in academic research again. She tugged at his sleeve, then turned to Ling Miao with an apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry, he gets like this whenever he thinks about work."
Seeing Ling Miao's curiosity, Nona took the initiative to explain, "He works at the Institute of Ancient Culture."
"My main focus is on restoring ancient food recipes."
So that's how it is.
Ling Miao understood, and seeing the expectant look in the other person's eyes, she nodded, "Of course."
"However, I make all my maltose from wheat I grow myself, and it's too late now."
Ling Miao looked at them leisurely, "I will make a video about making maltose later and put it on my account."
“Of course,” Ling Miao paused, then subtly began to attract customers.
"Everything tastes better when it's freshly made, and it's also easier to understand what's being made on-site."
As she spoke, she looked at Sheng Qinian, who seemed lost in thought, and raised her voice.
"The restaurant offers more than just these dishes; there are many more options for everyone to enjoy."
The people and stall owners who hadn't dispersed yet all heard Ling Miao's words.
