Chapter Thirty-Eight Chicken Soup Wontons

Even something as unpalatable as fish, the shop manager can turn into something magical.

What ordinary food is it that even people don't eat?

Out of curiosity, she asked directly.

"It's wontons."

No wonder.

Avril understood; wontons were truly an outdated product in interstellar space.

It's no wonder that others don't care about food that's so readily available to everyone.

Avril rubbed her hands together, becoming unusually excited.

They may not know how delicious the manager's food is, but how could she not know?

I'm afraid that if the store manager really becomes popular, they won't be able to get any food.

Hehe, I feel a little guilty for having such thoughts.

Soon, Avril couldn't care less, because Ling Miao had already brought the cooked wontons to the table.

Ellis was still the first person who couldn't wait.

He picked up a soup ladle, scooped down with a large spoon, and a plump, round wonton was scooped into the ladle, still dripping with soup. He blew on it a few times and then stuffed it into his mouth.

Biting into the thin wonton wrapper releases the meat filling, which eagerly spills onto the tongue, bringing a burst of heat.

Ignoring her gasp, Ellis swallowed the wonton in her mouth with almost greedy relish, letting out a sigh.

"It's so delicious!"

God knows what it was like to go back to school and drink nutritional fluids every day; he doesn't even know how he survived.

Only through the store manager's live stream was he able to pretend that he had eaten delicious food and drink the nutritional supplement.

For him, eating has now become a way of life, rather than just a means of survival.

Kerry, sitting next to him, nodded in deep agreement. After eating the food prepared by the manager, he found everything else tasteless.

He actually understood his younger brother's love of food.

Kerry's eyes dimmed as he thought of his younger brother.

Seeing his expression, Avril across from him quickly understood what he was thinking.

The three of them grew up together; they could tell what the other was thinking just by looking at them. "The sky is falling! [emoji][emoji][emoji] The babies failed the test! [emoji][emoji]"

I'm taking a break today and won't be writing anymore. I'll post a draft I already have so I can catch my breath.

Goodnight, my darlings! [emoji]
