Chapter 193 Dream Friends

Chapter 193 Dream Friends

Ji Congyang didn't expect that this would be the situation when he met his idol again.

The day before, he and his companions found the castle at night, entered his room, and after eating the cakes and drinks brought by the castle owner Peter Pan, he fell asleep because of the sudden sleepiness and had a very natural dream.

In his dream, he was attending a concert hosted by someone unknown. The person on the stage was said to be some kind of star. The specific details were introduced by an invisible friend who came with him. He just listened to the whole thing. As he had never been a fan of stars before, he didn't even remember what was sung. He just remembered that it was very noisy. In the end, he was thinking with his chin hanging down, when could he go out for dinner and whether to have chicken pot or boiled beef.

At the end of the concert, the brother whose face he could not see dragged him up to the stage to ask for an autograph. He was almost killed by the brother’s arm. In order not to die on the spot, he had to raise his head. Then he saw a face that he never expected: “Old Joe?!”

Qiao Yan asked emotionlessly, "Are you awake?"

Ji Congyang was so scared that he jumped up from the bed, hitting the bed board with a clanging sound when he fell down, and all his sleepiness disappeared in an instant: "How did you get in?"

Qiao Yan stood on one leg beside his bed, with ice skates under her feet, grabbed his collar and slid out the door.

When Ji Congyang's neck was strangled by the collar and he couldn't breathe, he was still thinking that the situation was exactly the same as in his dream, until he was thrown into the next room next to the next room.

That is Shi Yu's room.

Peter Pan didn't die under the sword in the end, but he couldn't turn the situation around. He escaped, but left behind an arm and a leg.

If he had been a step slower, he had no doubt that he would have been chopped into a human stick by the other party.

But until he disappeared outside the castle, he still didn't figure out when the person, who in his memory always remained calm no matter how he was treated coldly or badly, became like this now.

Peter Pan was an abandoned child.

He has no father or mother, for he has lived alone in the forest for as long as he can remember.

This was his first secret.

He learned how to pick fruits, mushrooms, catch animals, and cook them into delicious food. He also drank the river that flowed outside the castle, lived off the land, and occasionally met adults who came in to explore or hunt.

It was not until the adults became old, and the old people stepped down and the newly grown-up children came in, that he realized that he was different.

He never grows up. No matter how much time has passed, how much he has experienced, year after year, he will always look like a child.

This is his second secret.

In fact, there are many similar strange things in such a world. Even though he has always lived in the forest and has never left, he has heard of dancing red shoes, talking furniture, and river lanterns that hide fairies, but no one would take them seriously.

But every time he tried to leave the forest and go outside, he tried to establish contact with people in the outside world, but no matter how smooth the situation was at first, he would always be cut off by the other party in the end.

He has no friends and he wants a friend.

This is his third secret.

People outside the forest also began to spread the rumor that there was a bad boy living in the castle in the forest, and warned their children not to get close to him or go to him, saying that he would eat people. If you don't eat well, Peter Pan will come to you; if you don't sleep well at night, Peter Pan will come to you; if you are unhygienic, Peter Pan will come to you; if you play dangerous games, Peter Pan will come to you...

Most of the children believed what their elders said and always stayed away from Peter Pan.

Until Little Red Riding Hood ran in.

When I asked the other person why, he/she said, "I want to be friends with you."

I asked the other person if he had never heard of him, and he said yes, so what.

When asked if he was not afraid of him, he said that it was raining that day and he left the door open for him.

Although it sounds magical, it is true that when Little Red Riding Hood asked for shelter under the eaves on a rainy day, Peter Pan opened the door of the castle and never closed it, so we firmly believe that Peter Pan is not the person as the rumors say.

Later, because of Little Red Riding Hood's introduction, Peter Pan had his second, third, and fourth friends.

His third secret wish came true.

But he has a new secret.

It was Peter Pan's birthday, and he carried a bamboo basket full of fruits up the mountain. He did not return to the castle until the evening. As soon as he pushed open the door, the sound of fireworks exploding filled the air.

When he looked up, he saw colorful balloons floating on the roof, photo graffiti covering the entire wall, cakes and fruits piled on the table, and ribbons tied into bows as decorations everywhere.

Little Red Riding Hood stood in the front and put the crown on him.

Peter Pan was stunned.

He never celebrated his birthday in the past because he had no parents and didn't know exactly when he was born, so he asked the other person how he knew.

The other party said that this day happened to be the day they met.

He looked in the mirror and stared at the cardboard crown on his head: "Is it specially prepared for me?"

Little Red Riding Hood held the mirror, revealing half of her face, and said with a rare hint of teasing: "Yes, little prince."

The other party stood in the colorful ribbons and the boiling voices and said: "Peter Pan, happy birthday."

That day everyone played until midnight and finally had to stay in the castle.

The next morning, as soon as Peter Pan opened the door of his room, he saw Little Red Riding Hood downstairs carrying a basket and getting ready to go out.

He called out, "Are you leaving?"

Little Red Riding Hood nodded.

"Can't you stay?"

"I didn't tell my mother yesterday that I wasn't going home. If I don't go back now, she'll be worried."

At eight o'clock, Pinocchio ran to the second floor to say goodbye to him.

Peter Pan stood on the balcony holding the quilt: "Can't you stay?"

The other person put on a straw hat and said, "I have to go back to work on the farm. I'll come and play with you when I have time."

At nine o'clock, the Tin Soldier said goodbye to him on the first floor.

Peter Pan was cleaning up the mess from yesterday's snacks: "Can't you stay?"

The tin soldier spoke in a serious tone, just like a human: "I have to go back to guard the Swan Lake. I will come to see you when I have time."

At ten o'clock, the wizard appeared on the roof and said goodbye to him.

Peter Pan was sorting out the dried fruits he had dried: "Can't we stay?"

The wizard's face was hidden in his hood, and no emotion could be seen: "The potion I brewed in the seabed is almost ready. I have to go back and check it out."

At eleven o'clock, everyone left the castle.

Peter Pan stayed in the castle and waited for them to be free, waited for them to come back, but he never waited for the next opportunity for everyone to gather together.

Little Red Riding Hood has to help her mother with work, Pinocchio has to earn money to support his father, the tin soldier has to guard the master's fairy tale castle, and the wizard has to receive every guest who comes to the cave for help. Each of them has his or her own life, his or her own circle of relatives and friends, things that require time and energy to complete, and everything that is different but loved.

Later one time, he asked Little Red Riding Hood if she could stay in the castle with him forever. Little Red Riding Hood said, "I still have a home, why should I stay in the castle?"

He asked Pinocchio if he could stay in the castle, but Pinocchio said he had his father to take care of and couldn't leave.

He asked the tin soldier, and the tin soldier said, "I promised to be on duty and I can't break my promise."

As for the wizard, there was no need to ask. He was too busy and never came out from the bottom of the sea after that birthday party.

Peter Pan then realized that he was only a very small part of their lives, never the whole.

No one takes him as everything.

But he didn't understand.

Why did they have to busy themselves with unimportant things? Why did they have to abandon him for their parents and others? Why couldn't they stay here with him forever? Why couldn't he be the one and only?

Peter Pan didn't get an answer, so he chose the most extreme action first.

He used wine, sleeping pills, and golden everlasting flowers.

He locked them up one by one.

He wanted to keep everyone here.

Then, everyone fled.

When the rumors about him were at their worst, the children, led by Little Red Riding Hood, would hear them and argue with others that he was not a monster.

But after they ran away, when he heard others say that Peter Pan was a bad boy, a monster, and a devil, he would add at the end in a serious manner: "If he didn't eat people, why didn't Little Red Riding Hood and Pinocchio go to the castle now?" and "If you don't listen, Peter Pan will come and take you away."

But he still couldn't understand why they didn't want to be friends with him anymore.

He had always thought that they would never come back, and he never expected that they would appear outside the castle again.

This was not the first time Qiao Yan saw Shi Yu losing control.

He had not slept in the first place. On the contrary, he got inspiration from the other party's inference after going out. After returning, he began to search the room that belonged to the tin soldier and finally found the small box hidden deep in the cupboard. He prepared to bring it over as soon as possible.

Then I saw Peter Pan running out.

The other party flew high into the sky and disappeared from sight in the blink of an eye.

Qiao Yan immediately flipped out of the balcony and landed in front of the door of the room where the other party escaped.

At that time, Shi Yu just walked out with his hands on the door frame.

Qiao Yan looked up at the other person.

The night was dark, but the sky was clear after the rain. The moonlight vaguely outlined the other person's hand and the rusty iron chain on the edge. The cut on the wrist caused by the blade was still dripping blood, winding inch by inch across the concrete ground and reflected in the other person's eyes that were lowered because he was looking at him.

He recognized the other person's gaze at a glance. It was not as dull and indifferent as usual, but exactly the same as it was on the train. There was no difference between the way he looked at him and the way he looked at the tables, chairs, wood and stones around him.

It was as if a work carefully carved by God suddenly deviated from the preset track, the perfectly trimmed flowers and leaves grew vigorous branches, and the host and the guest on the chessboard were suddenly reversed. The contrast between the before and after was clearly different, yet it was strangely logical.

Qiao Yan stared at him for almost two seconds without saying a word, then turned around and pulled his thick-skinned childhood friend over.

Anyway, Peter Pan was no longer in the castle, and the players didn't need to pretend to be well behaved, so Qiao Yan walked out the door.

Ji Congyang was dragged off the bed by his companions and taken to the outside of his idol's room.

It was true that Qiao Yan always called him stupid, but it was also true that he admired him. Just like in the current situation, everyone else was very cautious, and no matter how calm they looked on the surface, they were still afraid in their hearts, fearing that if they said something wrong, Shi Yu would raise his sword and strike.

Only Ji Congyang can still call the other party idol as usual.

This was not even a deliberate act of indifference, nor was it that he could not see that the difference between Shi Yu before and after was like the jump from Mount Everest to the Mariana Trench, but he truly felt from the bottom of his heart that such a change was nothing big.

At least in Ji Congyang's eyes, no matter what the situation is, Shi Yu is just an idol to him.

Just like when his father was in jail when he was in junior high school, Ji Congyang would still pull him and call him Old Qiao as if nothing had happened.

After entering the divine realm, Qiao Yan has been asked by others why he must be friends with Ji Congyang. What else can he do besides being a drag and a mascot?

But if it weren't for Ji Congyang, Qiao Yan would probably have grown up to be a lonely and cruel Peter Pan.
