Only after Lin Yuan finished beating the thugs did Lin Manman and the others peek out from the booths one by one.
Wearing a black leather jacket, Lin Yuan turned to look at Lin Manman, his eyes full of tenderness.
Are you alright?
Lin Manman raised her head and looked at Lin Yuan's face, which was somewhat tired but still resolute, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart.
She shook her head slightly, her voice trembling slightly: "I'm fine, thank you."
Tears were already welling up in my eyes.
Lin Yuan smiled slightly, a smile that was enough to dispel all gloom.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here, no one can bully you."
Lin Yuan didn't rush to take them away, but kept a close eye on Lin Manman.
He stood there, hands in his pockets, brows slightly furrowed, pondering how to begin.
The surroundings were completely silent, with only Lin Manman's sobs and breathing sounds remaining.
Suddenly, Lin Yuan's deep and powerful voice echoed across the scene.
"Manman, what are you thinking? Do you know how dangerous it is here?"
His voice carried anger, but even more so, worry.
He looked at Lin Manman with eyes full of heartache, as if she were his most beloved younger sister, yet she always caused him worry.
Lin Manman lowered her head, her eyes filled with grievance.
She bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes, but stubbornly refused to fall.
She muttered softly, "I just wanted to come out and relax..."
Lin Yuan sighed, his tone softening slightly.
"Relax? Do you know where you are? This kind of place is a mixed bag, you can find all sorts of people here. If I hadn't arrived in time today, you might be in danger."
He paused, his tone still stern, "You're playing with your own safety."
Lin Manman finally couldn't hold back her tears and said in a choked voice, "I know I was wrong, Brother Yuan. I will never come again. I will never go to bars or KTVs without your permission again."
Lin Yuan felt a pang of pity seeing Lin Manman's aggrieved expression.
He gently patted her shoulder, sighed, and his tone gradually became more indulgent.
"Okay, stop crying. I know you didn't mean it, but you have to understand that safety is the most important thing."
Lin Manman wiped away her tears and looked up at Lin Yuan.
"Okay, I understand, Brother Yuan."
Their eyes met, and Lin Yuan looked into Lin Manman's eyes.
They were fairly sincere.
Lin Yuan nodded in satisfaction and smiled slightly.
"Alright, stop crying."
He reached out his hand, and Lin Manman grasped it tightly.
Lin Yuan pulled her out of the booth.
"From now on, you must take good care of yourself."
Lin Manman felt a warmth in her heart and nodded vigorously.
As long as Lin Yuan is around, she has a trump card and has nothing to fear.
Huang Mao struggled to get up from the ground, unwilling to let the fat meat in his mouth slip away.
He clutched his stomach, his eyes filled with resentment.
He took his phone out of his pocket and quickly dialed a number.
"Brother Tiger, I've been beaten up at the 'Monkey Banana Bar'! Come quick!"
A rough voice came from the other end of the phone.
"What's going on? Didn't you bring people with you?"
Yellow Hair gritted his teeth and said bitterly, "The other side is too strong, we are no match for them at all. Tiger, come quick, I'm waiting for you here!"
After hanging up the phone, Huang Mao stared fiercely at Lin Yuan, his eyes filled with resentment.
He saw Lin Yuan comforting Lin Manman, and the two were even holding hands, which made him even angrier.
When Tiger arrives, you'll be in for a world of hurt!
The blond-haired man glared at Lin Yuan with a menacing look from time to time.
Lin Yuan seemed to notice her gaze, and he frowned slightly, but didn't seem to care.
He held Lin Manman's hand tightly and shook it.
He was silently telling Huang Mao.
"With me here, you have no chance."
Twenty minutes later, the darkness outside the bar was broken by a burst of noise.
A huge rock was thrown into the calm lake.
In the distance came the sound of a car stopping and footsteps.
Accompanied by a few vulgar laughs and curses, Tiger led a large group of burly men over in a grand procession.
Their clothes were disheveled, as if they had just emerged from a chaotic fight, yet they exuded an arrogant air.
Each and every one of them is a tyrant in the night.
People around them quickly moved away, and an uneasy atmosphere filled the air.
The blond-haired man stood at the front of the crowd, his greasy hair gleaming under the streetlights, his eyes full of smugness.
He crossed his arms and shouted at Lin Yuan.
"Hey, Lin Yuan! If you know what's good for you, leave your little girlfriend here to keep Tiger company. Otherwise, I guarantee you won't even have a trace left!"
A cold smile played on his lips, his eyes filled with provocation, as he prepared to watch a farce unfold.
Lin Yuan stood still, his face terribly gloomy, his eyes scanning the crowd as if searching for something.
His fist clenched slightly, veins bulging on the back of his hand, but he didn't immediately lash out.
He took a deep breath, his voice low and cold.
He calmly said, "Young punk, are you sure you want to do this?"
Upon hearing this, Huang Mao burst into laughter as if he had heard a hilarious joke.
Several people around them joined in the commotion.
"Hahaha!"
It was as if Lin Yuan's words were their greatest source of amusement.
The blond-haired man in the middle of the group shook his head, his face full of disdain.
"Hey, are you scared? You think you can do anything to me with your little skills? Don't dream! If you don't behave today, I'll show you what it means to wish you were dead!"
