After dinner, Lin Yuan leaned back on the sofa, staring blankly at the TV screen, but his mind was already far away.
His fingers tapped the armrest unconsciously, the rhythm chaotic, venting his inner turmoil.
In the bathroom, the rushing water sounded like drumbeats, pounding against his nerves and making his already anxious mind even more complicated.
A slight smile played on his lips, a hint of cunning flickering in his eyes, which held an unfathomable glint in them.
"The sound of this water is really powerful, it feels almost like a waterfall."
Lin Yuan's words were tinged with a subtle mockery, his tone relaxed yet slightly provocative, as he casually discussed a trivial matter.
Li Tianyi stood quietly to the side, his expression revealing an unspeakable embarrassment. He unconsciously scratched the back of his head, his eyes flickering, as if hiding some indescribable emotions.
He vaguely sensed that Lin Yuan's behavior today was quite unusual, but he struggled to find the right words to ask him.
Lin Yuan's words contained a hidden meaning, but they inadvertently triggered a faint smile on Li Tianyi's lips. The cunning light in his eyes was even stronger than before, flashing with a hint of amusement.
"Tianyi, it's getting late, you should head back soon."
Lin Yuan's words suddenly carried a hint of impatience, breaking the delicate atmosphere.
Upon hearing this, Li Tianyi was slightly taken aback, and then a troubled expression appeared on his face.

He gave the two men a cold look, his words carrying an undeniable threat: "I've made myself clear, you're leaving. Don't force me to take action."
"Besides, Xu Lan and I have known each other since childhood and are like brothers. Why do you have to worry so much?"
Li Tianyi and Sun Xinyi exchanged a glance, both of their eyes flashing with an indescribable helplessness.
Li Tianyi was secretly annoyed. Why was Lin Yuan acting like this today?
He is usually gentle and refined, so why is he so anxious and restless today?
Could it be that his emotions are causing him distress?
A thought quietly surfaced in his mind, but he quickly suppressed it.
Seeing that the two were still hesitating, Lin Yuan couldn't help but raise his voice: "What, you're not listening to me anymore?"

Lin Yuan waved his hand impatiently, his eyes full of disdain: "Go on, go on, stop dawdling here."
The two turned and left helplessly, a triumphant smile on Lin Yuan's face.
He stood up and slowly walked towards the bathroom, a strange light flashing in his eyes.

The curve of his lips widened.
Finally, the bathroom door opened gently, and Xu Lan, wearing a soft white nightgown, slowly walked out.
Tiny water droplets clung to her hair, shimmering under the light like sparkling pearls.
Her pretty face was flushed with two rosy blushes. Like a lotus emerging from the water, she was delicate and beautiful beyond compare.
Lin Yuan's gaze was instantly drawn to her, his eyes flashing with an aggressive light, as if he wanted to devour Xu Lan whole.
He stared at Xu Lan greedily, the corners of his mouth widening as his eyes filled with possessiveness.
Feeling Lin Yuan's gaze, Xu Lan panicked and subconsciously took a step back.
Li Tianyi's expression instantly turned serious. He strode forward and stood in front of Xu Lan like a loyal guard, his eyes warily fixed on Lin Yuan.
"Young Master Lin, Miss Xu Lan's hair is still wet!"
Li Tianyi's voice was deep and powerful. Even though he wasn't fast, he suppressed his unease and gritted his teeth as he spoke.
Xu Lan's face flushed slightly, and she lowered her eyes shyly.
Her heart pounded like a drum, and a hint of panic flashed across her eyes. A gentle breeze rippled across the lake.
It is by no means easy to extricate oneself from Lin Yuan's obsession.
But her heart already belonged to someone else, and she had to be honest with Lin Yuan about these feelings.
She took a deep breath, mustered her courage, and slowly raised her head, her eyes flashing with unprecedented determination: "Brother Lin Yuan, I have some things on my mind that I want to talk to you about."
Lin Yuan's expression first flashed with a barely perceptible displeasure, but he quickly masked it with his signature gentle smile.
