Shen Mengyao didn't care at all, and instead said confidently, "Of course! I can't let some other vixen snatch such a high-quality male meal ticket and business partner away. I'm just taking precautions, understand?"
Lin Yuan was amused by her and laughed heartily, nodding as he laughed.
"Okay, okay, you're amazing, I'm impressed!"
Shen Mengyao then gave a satisfied hum, a smug smile spreading across her face. "Absolutely!"
"But can't you have any self-awareness? You're a man with a fiancée!"
Lin Yuan felt a warmth in his heart as he looked at her worried expression.
He gently patted her thin shoulder.
"Alright, stop showing off. Have you borrowed all the books? Let's go explore other places and relax a bit."
Shen Mengyao nodded and carefully put the borrowed book into her backpack.
"Great, I was just thinking of going out for some fresh air. It's so stuffy in this library, I'm almost overwhelmed by the smell of books."
Then, as usual, he took Lin Yuan's hand, and the two of them walked out of the library.
The two walked out of the library, the sunlight shining on them, warm and pleasant.
The campus was filled with youthful energy, and bursts of laughter could be heard from afar.
Lin Yuan and Shen Mengyao strolled slowly along the campus path, enjoying this rare moment of leisure.
"Do you think that girl just now really had a crush on me?"
Shen Mengyao rolled her eyes at him and said irritably, "Tch, who would be interested in you! They're only hitting on you because of me. Don't be so narcissistic!"
Lin Yuan deliberately put on a confident demeanor.
"Oh dear, maybe he really does have feelings for me. After all, I'm so outstanding, anyone would be attracted to me!"
Shen Mengyao laughed out loud at his joke and gently pushed him.
"You're so vain!"
Lin Yuan laughed and grabbed her hand, continuing to walk forward.
"Alright, stop fooling around, let's go!"
A short while later, the two arrived at the school's playground.
The playground was bustling with activity; some people were running, some were playing football, and others were chatting.
Lin Yuan and Shen Mengyao found a quiet corner to sit down and enjoy this rare moment of leisure.
Suddenly, remembering something, he leaned close to Shen Mengyao's ear.
"Hey, tell me, if that girl comes looking for me again, will you get jealous?"
Shen Mengyao glared at him and said irritably, "I... eat your head! I'm not jealous at all, don't flatter yourself!"
Lin Yuan laughed and deliberately provoked, "If she really comes looking for me again, I'll go to a coffee shop with her. Are you going to mind?"
Shen Mengyao's face instantly turned bright red, and she said angrily, "You dare! If you dare to go, I will... I will... double the price."
"Ten times!"
Seeing her huffing and puffing, Lin Yuan couldn't help but burst into laughter. He then put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her into his embrace.
"Just kidding, my little darling. Why would I go? She's not as interesting as you."
Shen Mengyao's face turned even redder.
"That's true, it has to be me! If it weren't for me, you wouldn't know who to turn to for your debauchery."
Lin Yuan gently pinched her cheek.
"Oh, she looks so cute when she's jealous, I love it."
Shen Mengyao's face instantly turned bright red, and she kissed his arm hard.
"Say it again!"
Lin Yuan hugged her arm and kissed her.
The kiss made Shen Mengyao feel a little breathless.
"Okay, okay, I won't say anymore, I won't say anymore!"
Sunlight streamed onto the school playground, its golden rays intertwining with the vibrant energy of youth, draping the land in a warm veil.
Students strolled in twos and threes, or chatted under the shade of trees, creating a lively scene.
Lin Yuan and Shen Mengyao walked side by side, laughing all the way.
Shen Mengyao's long hair shimmered in the sunlight, like a flowing waterfall, radiant and beautiful.
However, Lin Yuan, being a martial artist, had extremely keen senses.
He quickly noticed that the gazes of many of the boys around him had become complicated.
Those gazes contained envy, jealousy, and even a hint of murderous intent.
"Looks like you're pretty famous at school. So many boys are staring at me like they want to eat me alive."
Shen Mengyao raised her head and glared at him fiercely.
Her delicate chin was held high, and her tone was extremely arrogant.
"Of course! The playground is packed with guys chasing after me. If you dare to treat me badly, I'll find someone else to be my boyfriend."
Upon hearing this, Lin Yuan's lips curled into a confident smile.
He deliberately said, "Oh, really? Then I'd better be careful, or someone else might snatch the bill and I can't stand it."
As he spoke, he tightened his grip on Shen Mengyao's arm.

Just then, Lin Yuan released his grip and declined Shen Mengyao's invitation.
"If you dare to disregard your own safety and get close to that woman with ulterior motives, I'll throw you out of the car!"
