[Chapter 396: Sickness]
Night falls.
Huo Jingze took Lin Yin's hand and returned to the hotel.
"You've been playing all day and you're all sweaty. Go take a shower first. I'll take a shower after you finish." Lin Yin sat on the sofa.
Huo Jingze raised his eyebrows and pulled her up from the sofa. "Why are you so troublesome? Let's wash together. It will save trouble."
He took Lin Yin's hand and walked towards the bathroom.
Lin Yin's face instantly turned red, and she struggled for a moment, "Jingze, this is not good."
Huo Jingze held her hand tighter and pulled her into his arms. His chest pressed against Lin Yin's back, his lips close to her ear, his warm breath spraying on her skin. "What's wrong with that? We are husband and wife, there's no need to be shy."
Lin Yin's heart was beating violently in her chest. She could clearly feel Huo Jingze's body temperature and his strong love.
At Huo Jingze's insistence, she was half-pushed and half-pulled into the bathroom.
The bathroom was soon filled with mist.
Huo Jingze reached out and unbuttoned Lin Yin's shirt. Every time he unbuttoned a button, it seemed as if he gently plucked Lin Yin's heartstrings.
And his deep black eyes were always staring at her, the strong desire in them almost overflowing.
She knew him too well to know what would happen in a moment.
"You still have to work tomorrow..." Lin Yin held his hand and reminded him.
"Your man is not so old that he can't get up tomorrow after doing it tonight." Huo Jingze whispered in her ear, then he took off his clothes and brought Lin Yin under the warm water.
Lin Yin moaned softly, and the sound echoed in the bathroom...
"Yinyin, I love you." Huo Jingze hugged her tightly, his voice hoarse and low.
"I, I love you too." Lin Yin tried to respond to him, but her voice was broken.
…
The early morning sunlight shone through the gap in the curtains onto the bed. Huo Jingze woke up first. He looked at Lin Yin who was still sleeping in his arms. The corners of his mouth unconsciously rose, and his eyes were full of doting.
He gently pushed aside the hair in front of Lin Yin's forehead and kissed her on the forehead. His movements were extremely gentle, for fear of disturbing her sweet dream.
Lin Yin slowly woke up from his kiss, and looked at Huo Jingze with sleepy eyes, a blush on her face.
"Morning, Jingze." Her voice was lazy as if she had just woken up.
"Morning." Huo Jingze hugged her tighter, "Did you sleep well last night?"
Lin Yin nodded slightly and buried her face in his arms, "Yeah, very good, I didn't even have a dream."
The two of them stayed in bed for a while, then Huo Jingze got up and put on his clothes. "I'm going to take care of some work first, you can rest for a while."
Lin Yin responded obediently: "Okay."
But she couldn't sleep, so she lay down for a while, then got up, washed up, and walked into the living room.
She had just sat down on the sofa and was about to watch TV when the doorbell rang.
She opened the door.
The cleaning lady wearing a mask said respectfully, "Ms. Lin, I'll clean the room."
"Okay, thank you for your help." Lin Yin stepped aside to let her in.
The cleaning lady entered the bedroom to clean up.
Half an hour later, the cleaning lady came with the changed bed sheets and quilt covers, and the garbage bag for the room, and said respectfully, "Ms. Lin, the room has been cleaned."
Lin Yin nodded, "Okay, thank you."
Huo Jingze was working in the study, his fingers tapping quickly on the keyboard with a focused look on his face.
Lin Yin was changing TV channels in the living room out of boredom, looking towards the study from time to time.
Not long after, Huo Jingze finished his work and walked out of the study, and the doorbell rang at this moment.
He opened the door and the waiter came in with a food cart full of delicious food. "Sir, this is the breakfast service provided by the hotel. Please enjoy your meal."
Huo Jingze nodded in thanks and placed breakfast on the table one by one.
Lin Yin came over and saw a dish of stewed pears. Her eyes lit up immediately, "There's stewed pears."
"You should eat more. You screamed for too long last night. This will be good for your throat." Huo Jingze looked at her ambiguously.
Lin Yin blushed and glared at him, "It's all your fault. How dare you say that?"
"Okay, it's all my fault." Huo Jingze smiled and fed her the stewed pears himself. "How does it taste?"
Lin Yin said: "It's sweet and delicious, do you want to try it?"
Huo Jingze shook his head, "I don't like pears, you should eat them all."
"Then I won't be polite." Lin Yin took it and started eating.
While eating, Lin Yin's movements were a little slow.
Huo Jingze noticed something was wrong, "Yinyin, what's wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?"
Lin Yin rubbed his shoulders and said, "My body is a little sore. I don't want to go out and play today. Just rest in the room."
Huo Jingze naturally agreed.
Time flies and it is afternoon.
Huo Jingze was just about to change his clothes to attend the drinking party, but Lin Yin was leaning weakly on the sofa.
"Yinyin, what's wrong with you?" Huo Jingze sat next to her and asked with concern.
Lin Yin said listlessly: "I don't know, I feel weak and dizzy."
Huo Jingze raised his hand and touched her forehead, his brows immediately furrowed, "Yinyin, you have a fever."
He hurriedly called He Kai and asked him to buy the medicine and send it over.
Afterwards, Huo Jingze said to Lin Yin: "I won't go to the dinner party. I'll stay with you."
Lin Yin shook her head gently, "No, this dinner is very important to your work. I'll just take some medicine and rest. You go now."
Huo Jingze hesitated, but seeing Lin Yin's determined eyes, he nodded, "Then I'll come back as soon as possible. Call me if you have anything."
Huo Jingze changed his clothes and looked back at Lin Yin before leaving, his eyes full of worry.
Lin Yin waved at him and said, "Go ahead and don't worry."
Huo Jingze then turned and left.
Lin Yin was alone in the room. After taking the medicine, she lay back on the bed, pulled the quilt over herself, and fell asleep soon after.
