Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Qiao Yi Qiao looked at the scene in front of him.

A familiar feeling comes back...

If I don't persuade him, this kid will really explode.

Qiao Yiqiao was really helpless, so he called out softly: "Di Le..."

The sound was barely audible in the darkness at five in the morning, and seemed to be blown away by the evening breeze, but the red-haired boy managed to catch it.

The red-haired boy turned around in the direction of the voice, looked carefully for a while, and then stopped.

Then, he ignored everything and ran towards Qiao Yi Bridge.

Boom.

Di Le ran into Qiao Yi Qiao's arms, but didn't cry, just hugged him tightly.

Qiao Yiqiao's ribs ached slightly from being hugged.

"Hey," Qiao Yiqiao stroked the boy's red hair, "thank you for your hard work."

"It's not hard," Di Le said with a heavy nasal tone, "Boss, those people are talking nonsense, you are not dead..."

"Yes, I am sorry for this matter," Qiao Yiqiao let Di Le hold him, "but..."

Di Le raised his head, his eyes sparkling, and asked, "But what?"

Qiao Yiqiao looked helpless: "But can you put out the fire in your hand first?"

Di Le was holding a lighter in his hand, made of steel with a pattern of a little hedgehog painted on it.

At this moment, the fire was only a few meters away from the combustible materials.

Qiao Yiqiao really didn't want to die at this critical juncture.

Di Le grinned, revealing his white teeth: "Okay."

Then, he turned angrily to the group of big men standing outside the house: "I will blow you all to death sooner or later, boomboomboom!"

These words also woke up the group of people. They quickly walked towards Qiao Yi Qiao and looked for a long time before finally confirming that this was their boss.

“Boss…” The leader was a man with a scar on his face, “It’s great that you’re still alive… We didn’t know that.”

Qiao Yiqiao nodded helplessly: "Okay, all right... Let's go inside and talk."

When they arrived at Chu Feng's villa, Qiao Yiqiao could see the group of people clearly, and the group of people could also see the boss clearly.

Seeing that there wasn't much change in everyone's appearance, they finally felt relieved.

The only one who has changed a little is Di Le.

The child has grown taller and thinner, and the baby fat on his face is not as obvious.

Speaking of Di Le, Qiao Yiqiao shed bitter tears.

The kid was basically snatched from his own gang.

This kid grew up in a wealthy family. His parents were executives of a chemical products company. They trained him to be their successor. He was also very talented in chemistry and had completed high school chemistry classes before entering junior high school.

However, his hobbies are a little off.

He likes chemistry, and what he likes is nothing more than explosions.

It is often said that "explosion is art".

He likes anything that can create an explosion.

He once set a record by blowing up the school laboratory in junior high school. Fortunately, no one was injured, otherwise it would have been a big problem.

But unfortunately, both his parents died in a business accident.

However, Di Le's personality made him not know much about business, so he was kicked out of the family by several relatives.

But he didn't care, after all, that was not his interest.

After that, Di Le became a homeless person.

He went from being a young master who was the center of attention to a small-time gangster.

At that time, Qiao Yiqiao's rival gang discovered Di Le's talent and invited him to make a huge device that could help them dominate the underworld.

Di Le was halfway through his mission when his gang was wiped out by Qiao Yiqiao.

Qiao Yiqiao also paid special attention to his younger brother. He used reason and emotion to influence the young man who was about to go astray with his sincerity.

Of course, the results were minimal.

To be fair, Qiao Yi Qiao had been undercover for two years at that time, so even though Di Le joined the gang, the two of them didn't have a deep relationship at first.

He knew that the child had personality problems and couldn't communicate with anyone.

Qiao Yi Qiao took him for a check-up, and the result was that he had high-functioning autism, the professional term for which is called "Asperger's syndrome."

Such children are either gifted in a certain field or can't do anything at all. Di Le is one of the lucky ones, he is just obsessed with it.

Because of this disease, Di Le is a person without emotions and sense of right and wrong.

So Qiao Yi Qiao could only take him to see doctors and get medicine, and do rehabilitation treatments, which cost a lot of money and time, before the child recovered.

This type of child may not recognize anyone, but once he recognizes someone, he will follow that person for life.

After more than two years, he thought Di Le had almost recovered, so he applied for a scholarship for him to study abroad.

But he didn't expect that after the gang was disbanded, the kid would still come to find him.

"Aren't you going to study anymore?" Qiao Yi Qiao asked.

Di Le nodded: "No, I'm not going to read it anymore. I ran back secretly."

"How can that be possible?" Qiao Yiqiao did not dare to use a serious tone, "I will contact the school right away, you can go back and continue your studies..."

"No need, big brother," Di Le said expressionlessly, but his tone was quite proud, "I'm an adult now, I told the school I dropped out!"

"People can't live without reading!" Qiao Yi Qiao was a little angry.

He spent a long time looking for that school, which not only accepts children with high-functioning autism and provides one-on-one tutoring, but also allows them to study professional courses based on their interests. For example, Di Le has been studying chemistry.

Di Le lowered his head: "Really, no need, brother, what the school teaches is too simple, I have already learned it."

Qiao Yiqiao was helpless and sighed: "Okay."

Once this kid makes up his mind, even eight hundred cows can't change his mind.

"So I found my big brother again," Di Le said excitedly, "I will stay with my big brother from now on."

Qiao Yi Qiao touched Di Le's head, feeling helpless.

The world view and values of a high-functioning autistic child are completely different from those of a normal child. Now that he is back, it will be difficult for Qiao Yi Qiao to send him away again.

Qiao Yiqiao asked again: "Why are you making explosives again? Where did you get them?"

"Hehe, I modified all of them with the fireworks I bought," Di Le smiled, "but they should be quite powerful."

"Got it," Qiao Yiqiao felt the familiar headache coming back, "Please put it in the warehouse first. I'll think about how to deal with it."

Should I contact the fire department about this? Qiao Yiqiao didn't quite understand and would have to check it out later.

"Don't worry, Boss," Di Le patted his chest, "As long as I'm watching these, they won't explode."

"……All right."

"That's great," said the leader of the big brother group who had been silent until now, "You're causing trouble for the boss as soon as you come back."

Only then did Qiao Yi Qiao turn his gaze towards them.

This group of fifteen or sixteen people were actually the last people recruited by Qiao Yiqiao.

They were originally a small gang in society, but they never made much of a name for themselves.

The leader is called Jiang Weiguo, who used to be a top student in mechanics. Although he looks like a farmer and has a rough aura, he is very good at all kinds of small devices.

Before joining the Xi Cui Gang, a group of them were planning to rob a bank, but fortunately they were discovered and stopped in time by Qiao Yi Qiao.

The people around him are similar. They all have a high level of education, but they all have some skills. For example, they are proficient in cryptography and can easily open safes, they are well versed in topological design routes, they are very knowledgeable in psychology and are good at deceiving people, etc.

There are many reasons why they embark on the path of crime. Most of them are because they are ambushed by others or ostracized because of their bad character.

The average age of these dozen people is 27 or 28 years old, making them the oldest people in the Xicui Gang.

Not only do the dozen or so of them look fierce, they also have different personalities. Some of them will start fighting at the slightest disagreement, while others are taciturn and don't talk at all.

When they joined the gang, Qiao Yi Qiao conducted talk therapy with each of them for several days, and conducted genetic tests, which confirmed that all of them were carriers of the MAO-L gene.

This gene is called the "devil gene". Most of its carriers are rebellious, crave blood and violence, and are called born devils.

But his IQ is extremely high, so it is easy for him to achieve success in certain fields - but he just doesn't follow the right path.

And this is not the most difficult part.

The problem was that their original gang had a grudge against Di Le's original gang. Di Le's gang had killed one of their brothers, and there was gunpowder at the scene, so even after they arrived in the Xi Cui Gang, their relationship was somewhat incompatible. Fortunately, with Qiao Yi Qiao's management, nothing serious happened.

In addition, there are problem children on both sides, a born devil vs a high-functioning autistic child, and the leaders are one who likes chemistry and the other who likes mechanics. But Qiao Yiqiao doesn't understand the chain of contempt in their academic world. In short, every day is exciting.

Qiao Yiqiao has put a lot of effort into controlling them, but with little success.

Anyway, they quarrel whenever they meet.

Of course, it's not just them.

These dozen big brothers quarreled with each other every day. After all, they didn't study the same major, so they always quarreled and fought from time to time. They were not harmonious. They not only fought among themselves, but also with other people in the gang.

After all, at his age, it is difficult for Qiao Yiqiao to take the route of persuasion and appeasement. He can only set rules, prohibiting injuries, forming gangs and excluding others.

That's all we can do.

We had been living in peace for several years, but unexpectedly we met again early this morning.

Seeing that they were about to quarrel again, Qiao Yiqiao quickly changed the subject.

"By the way," Qiao Yiqiao said, "I'm starting to make a movie now."

Jiang Weiguo immediately asked: "Is it to clear your name?"

Qiao Yiqiao: “…”

Why is my train of thought still so strange?

"I guess so," Qiao Yiqiao nodded, "In short, everyone has to work hard to live a good life."

Jiang Weiguo and others and Di Le all nodded: "Okay."

So, in the next two hours, Qiao Yi Qiao explained in detail his experience after he was forced to become a director.

Both groups were about to shed tears.

It turns out that the boss’ life was so hard after faking his death.

It’s too difficult!

"Why don't we just go out on our own?" Jiang Weiguo asked, "Boss, you've already done a lot for us, and we don't want to bother you anymore."

"Can you walk the right path if you go out on your own?" Qiao Yiqiao obviously knew the answer. "If you really love me, just live in Yizheng Entertainment's school and don't cause any trouble or fight."

Jiang Weiguo lowered his head: "Okay."

Qiao Yiqiao asked again, "We now have many departments such as costume design, sound recording, photography, art, set design, props, etc. You all have your own strengths. Pick a suitable department to learn first. Maybe there will be a time when you can be of use."

But in fact, Qiao Yiqiao knew in his heart that he might not be able to use them much.

Because other departments have already been learning for half a year, if they go in now, they can only do odd jobs and serve as assistants.

What's more, none of them are the type to like being little brothers.

Jiang Weiguo naturally knew this, but he didn't want to cause any trouble, so he could only agree, "Okay."

Di Le blinked and asked, "Boss, what about me? Where should I go?"

Qiao Yiqiao said coldly: "You go to the classroom every day and take online classes."

Di Le scratched his head: "Okay."

Afterwards, Qiao Yi Qiao gave the group some instructions about moving.

Then, I prayed silently in my heart that we would never fight again in such a collective environment as the dormitory.

The next day, Qiao Yiqiao had a good rest and returned to Yizheng campus.

Because "Chaos on Campus" had good box office and generated considerable income, Qiao Yi Qiao ordered people to renovate the second floor of the teaching building, and the third floor was turned into offices, conference rooms and multi-purpose halls.

After all, it is an office space and it still needs some basic functions.

Although Qiao Yiqiao has his own small office on the third floor, he still prefers to work in the dormitory most of the time. His room in the dormitory building is on the top floor, where he lives alone and has a great view.

Because Sabri is the only girl in the gang at the moment, Sabri's room is also on the top floor, just opposite the Qiaoyi Bridge.

The two of them have been getting together frequently recently, not for anything else but to talk about the script.

What surprised Qiao Yiqiao was that Sabri had actually been in the film club since he was a student. Their teacher at that time had studied in a specialized film and television school, so Sabri had actually received relatively professional training.

This can also be very helpful.

Qiao Yi Qiao first gave Sabri a week to read the information. Although Sabri's Chinese was still not very good, thanks to the advanced technology, it was not difficult for her to read the full text after it was translated.

Qiao Yiqiao knew that the topic he wanted to work on was "prison", but there were so many things that could be told in prison, so he first watched all the domestic films in the past fifty years that involved prison elements - this step was actually done very quickly because he found that there were very few domestic films with prison themes, especially in the past two or three decades.

Most of them are blockbusters from Hong Kong like "Prison on Fire", "Fist of Fury" and "Prison on Fire". As for those from the mainland, the only few are literary works like "Orange Is the New Black" and "Valley of Daughters".

So Qiao Yiqiao finished watching them very quickly and felt that these films were not of much reference value.

The former is a prison in Hong Kong and a crime blockbuster, while the latter was made more than 20 years ago, and the prison system is no longer the same as it is now.

There was no other way, Qiao Yi Qiao could only start looking at the information.

This is also the first step for a creator - collecting massive amounts of information.

He had read almost all the news about domestic prisons in the past twenty years and was well aware of the changes in prisons. He had even read some prisoners' autobiographies and interviews with prison guards, and had organized them into text and classified them in different documents.

It was also at this stage that he suddenly felt that prison themes were very interesting.

Firstly, there have been no works on prison themes in the past decade, as this is an extremely rare subject.

Second, everyone is interested in prisons - this is what Qiao Yiqiao saw on TK. The accounts of Sichuan and Chongqing Prisons, Qilu Prisons, etc. have hundreds of thousands of fans, and the interaction data is also very good.

Third, there are indeed many interesting stories in prison, as it is one of the places that best tests human nature.

Moreover, you would not know unless you check, and you will find that our country has always attached great importance to the prison system.

In 1934, prisons were still called "reformatory schools" and were proposed and supervised by Liang Baitai, Minister of the People's Commissariat of Justice of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic.

In the turbulent years that followed, the Party continued to implement reformatory education for all prisoners except those on death row, which laid the foundation for subsequent prison work.

After 1950, the State Council of the Central People's Government issued the "Instructions on Strengthening People's Judicial Work", which placed prisons under the jurisdiction of the public security department and reformed many Japanese war criminals, domestic war criminals, and even the last emperor. The prison situation at that time can be referred to in the book "My First Half of Life" written by Puyi.

However, the prison system has not been without problems. The emergence of "labor reform" in a specific period led many prisons to pursue production efficiency one-sidedly and ruthlessly exploit prisoners. It was not until 1956 that Comrade Liu, then Secretary of the Central Military Commission, proposed that "the policy of labor reform work is reform first, production second."

Unfortunately, this phenomenon still existed until around the 1990s.

The Ministry of Justice is the one that actually made changes to this phenomenon.

In 1994, my country promulgated the "Chinese Prison Law", which stipulated the principle of "reforming prisoners as the main purpose and production as the second".

Various judicial regulations have put the goal of "building a modern prison" on the right track.

Since then, reforming prisoners has become "legal", and with the added support of finance, not only have prison facilities been upgraded overall, the income of prison guards is no longer linked to prison production performance, and there is more spare capacity to organize various cultural and sports activities and carry out soft reform of criminals.

Although our country's prisons are "free punishment", that is, depriving prisoners of their freedom as a punishment, Qiao Yiqiao found out after checking the information that in fact, there are many cultural and sports activities in prisons in modern times. Some prisons can even form bands, handicraft teams, etc.

Qiao Yi Qiao watched and couldn't help but wonder - can this reform the prisoners?

The police worked so hard to catch the criminals, and now they force them to sing and dance in prison?

But as he looked into the information in depth, Qiao Yiqiao felt that as a former public security officer, this statement was not appropriate. After all, when arresting prisoners, it is often a group of people who arrest one prisoner, while for prison officers, one person is responsible for about 30 prisoners.

Moreover, the implementation of modern prisons has also proved that soft reform is more beneficial than strong punishment and is less contrary to human rights.

To be honest, the protection of human rights of prisoners in Chinese prisons should be among the best in the world. Not only are the prisoners provided with doctors, psychological counselors, correctional teachers, etc., but even their medical insurance is fully reimbursed.

But many people internationally don’t know this.

I thought China was still following the old path and ignoring human rights.

The Ministry of Justice has also been trying to publicize this matter.

All of the above results are the result of the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Justice and countless grassroots prison guards.

In fact, our country's serious crime rate is indeed among the lowest in the world.

The more information Qiao Yiqiao researched, the more he felt that he should film all these reforms and efforts.

The most important thing is that this subject matter is novel and has great potential for development.

Among the massive amount of information he found, there were a lot of news about prison guards and the Ministry of Justice trying every possible way to reform prisoners, which was very touching to read.

But these are small things.

Qiao Yi Qiao believes that what he lacks most at the moment is a clear main line.

In other words, it is a big event.

Among the vast amount of information, Qiao Yi Qiao actually found an event that was shocking enough.

May 12, 2008.

It was a day that all Chinese people would remember, a day filled with pain and heartache.

The Aba Prison in the Sichuan and Chongqing regions was also severely affected.

Aba Prison was less than 40 kilometers away from the epicenter. The earth and sky shook, the walls of Aba Prison collapsed, the prison and buildings were damaged, and all detention functions failed at the same time.

What is scary is that Aba Prison holds more than 1,900 prisoners, most of whom are from ethnic minorities such as the Qiang and Tibetan ethnic groups. The crimes they have committed are also relatively serious, making them actually very difficult to manage.

But what is shocking is that after the earthquake, none of them ran away. They even actively organized self-rescue, and no one was seriously injured or died (but there were some minor injuries).

This is enough to show how successful the police officers in Aba Prison were in reforming the prisoners.

From then on, more than 200 prison guards could only eat and live in tents with more than 1,900 prisoners. The police officers were very close to the detainees, so they could not be equipped with weapons - after all, if the weapons were snatched away by the prisoners, it would be a big problem.

This resulted in all police officers being extremely nervous for more than half a month.

Disaster relief was only the first step; survival was the bigger problem. All supplies in the prison had been destroyed in the earthquake, and the police officers could only carry back mineral water and instant noodles from wholesalers in distant towns.

When manpower was extremely scarce, they still had to allocate people to do this kind of work. The physical challenge was only secondary. It was more of a psychological challenge, which was fraught with difficulties.

But the ensuing heavy rains overwhelmed them.

The climate after the disaster was extremely abnormal, with an average of a violent storm every two days, and natural disasters such as mudslides followed one after another.

Faced with huge wind forces, the police officers could only ask the prisoners to quickly return to the tent, while they stayed outside, holding on to the tent ropes tightly with their hands, trying to stabilize the tent.

Afterwards, many prisoners came out to help the police officers hold the ropes. After the storm, many police officers and prisoners had blood on their palms, and the scars can still be seen today.

But overcoming these difficulties is not the most thrilling part of this story.

Because of the continuous aftershocks and heavy rains, it was unsafe for everyone to stay here. After joint discussions between the Ministry of Justice, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government and other departments, they formulated a plan that seemed completely impossible -

They will take ten days and ten nights to transfer these 1,900 prisoners to prisons in Ya'an, Chongzhou, Ganzi Prefecture and other areas.

They climbed over snow-capped mountains and crossed grasslands. Although they had cars to transport them, the journey was extremely difficult and they even faced the threat of mudslides several times. Finally, they successfully completed the mission.

During the entire process, no prisoner escaped, and all the prisoners and prison guards worked together to save themselves.

Finally, after twelve days and overcoming difficulties such as aftershocks, heavy rains, mudslides, landslides, road interruptions, etc., more than 2,000 people traveled through 23 cities and counties, covering a distance of about 13,000 kilometers, and were successfully transferred, achieving a miracle of disaster relief with zero escapes and zero accidents.

This is the largest and longest internal prison transfer in the history of our country and even the world.

This action has a much more resounding and well-known name in the history of the Republic - "The Thousand-Mile Migration."

After reading this story, Qiao Yiqiao felt his hair stand on end and it was so moving.

This is undoubtedly a great feat in prison history, and was even selected as one of Harvard University's world's greatest disaster response cases.

But what is reflected behind is 2

The efforts of more than 100 prison guards include not only emergency rescue and management after the disaster, but also countless disaster prevention drills, escape prevention and escape prevention education before the disaster, etc.

There were also the prisoners' self-rescue efforts. In the face of major natural disasters, everyone worked together to overcome one difficulty after another.

Qiao Yiqiao thought it would be perfect to use this incident as the main plot.

There is a strong conflict, not only between man and nature, but also between man and man.

Will the prisoners want to escape after the disaster? Why don't they? Are the prison guards afraid of difficulties? How much pressure are they under? What kind of difficulties are the prison leaders, provincial bureau leaders, and Ministry of Justice leaders facing?

All these things provide space for performance.

Thinking of this, Qiao Yi Qiao began to discuss with Sabri.

And Sabri, unsurprisingly, thought this story was the best.

The two of them got to work and after half a month, they finally completed the first version of the story outline.

Qiao Yiqiao immediately sent the outline to Director Jin, who responded within three days.

"It's thrilling! This is the most exciting story in the history of our country's prisons! I look forward to the subsequent scenes and scripts! I will send you the relevant information, and our Ministry of Justice will fully cooperate!"

That's it through.

Qiao Yiqiao and Sabri were both very happy, and then they devoted themselves to the creation of the separate scenes.

A scene-by-scene script is one that clearly writes out the scenes in the script, and roughly describes what happens in each scene, but does not need to include details and lines.

Generally, the scene-division stage is the longest stage in script writing. Even though it may only be 15,000 to 20,000 words, it can be said that not a single word is wasted, and each paragraph takes a long time to write.

Qiao Yi Qiao and Sabri thought about it for a long time, and it took them more than a month to finally complete the first draft. They first showed it to Xiao He and others, adjusted the version based on their feedback, and then, they were not in a hurry to send it to the leaders of the Ministry of Justice.

Qiao Yiqiao planned to send it to Teacher Shen Si first.

To this end, he used very polite words, using no less than ten polite words such as "please", "trouble", "sorry for taking up your time", etc.

WeChat also couldn’t show whether the message had been read, and Teacher Chen Si didn’t respond at all.

Qiao Yi Qiao waited for a week, and had no other choice but to send the manuscript to Director Jin of the Ministry of Justice. Unexpectedly, the next day after sending it, Chen Si suddenly called Qiao Yi Qiao.

"Xiao Qiao," Chen Si's voice was very tired, "I have been in seclusion recently and just saw your work. I have a few questions to ask you."

"Okay, Mr. Shen, please go ahead." Qiao Yi Qiao quickly took out his computer and started recording.

"First of all, I guess this should be a project of the Ministry of Justice, so they must want to show the positive style of the police officers. Then I suggest that you don't have villainous prison guards. They will definitely be concerned about this."

"Secondly, I don't think the post-earthquake relocation is enough to support a 110-minute play. After the earthquake, there is only the conflict between people and the external environment. I think it is not enough."

"Finally, I guess the Ministry of Justice also wants to use this project to explain the history of changes in our country's prisons. You don't have this aspect at present. Combined with the previous question, I have thought of a better solution, which is to make drastic structural changes."

“For example, in the first half of the film, you should set up a group of people to solve their own problems with the help of prison guards. Just when the problem is about to be solved, an earthquake suddenly occurs, and then the group of prisoners have the idea of escaping again, and then they have conflicts and frictions with the prison guards. Then, every external event, such as mudslides and typhoons, should be a manifestation of some problem in the hearts of these prisoners…”

Teacher Chen Si's suggestions were very detailed, and after listening to them, Qiao Yiqiao felt as if his eyes had been opened and everything became clear.

When he and Sabri were creating the film, they felt that these conflicts, such as earthquakes and mudslides, were too sudden, but if these conflicts were turned into external reflections of certain inner problems of the prisoners, they would appear very reasonable.

And in this way, the characters of the whole movie will be more distinct!

After hanging up the phone, Qiao Yi Qiao also received some suggestions from Director Jin.

It is just as Teacher Shen Si said. On the one hand, we don’t want bad characters in the prison guard team. On the other hand, we hope to better reflect the overall changes in the prison.

Qiao Yiqiao's admiration for Teacher Shen Si deepened.

It seems that Teacher Chen Si not only understands creation very well, but also knows what the client needs.

Once they had a direction, it was quick to make changes. This time they took a month to complete the changes and then sent them to the Ministry of Justice.

Director Jin's happiness was beyond words.

"Very good! It's much more comfortable to read now! Director Qiao wrote it really well. All of our colleagues were very moved after reading it. We look forward to seeing the complete script soon! As I said before, we will support any work that requires our cooperation without reservation!"

However, turning the scenes into a script is a more arduous task.

Qiao Yi Qiao tried to start writing, but no matter how hard he tried, he felt something was not right - he couldn't tell exactly what was wrong, he just felt stuck as he was writing.

There was no other way, so after he finished writing the first act, he sent the manuscript to Teacher Shen Si.

As usual, Teacher Shen Si sent feedback a week later.

This time it was text.

The first large section of opinions is about writing.

For example, the description of some scenes, etc. What Qiao Yiqiao learned the most was a term called "frame", that is, when entering a scene, you should first describe the scene with short words, just like putting the scene in a picture frame first.

Because the scenes in the minds of screenwriters and directors are likely to be different from those of art, production and other departments, such text saves communication costs.

Another big part of the opinions was about how to write a good play.

For example, when Qiao Yiqiao introduced the protagonists at the beginning, he used lines to explain what crimes the four prisoners had committed, how long their sentences were, etc.

But Mr. Shen Si suggested that the first scene should use the four of them wanting to escape from prison or achieve some small goal to convey this information, which would keep the story interesting and better reflect the personalities of each of them.

The last piece of advice is about this project.

After reading it, Teacher Chen Si actually felt the same as Qiao Yiqiao himself, that the whole thing was not smooth.

But Teacher Chen Si knew where Qiao Yiqiao's unhappiness came from—his lack of understanding of the prison.

For example, in the segment introducing daily life in prison, Qiao Yi Qiao wrote about how many complaints these prisoners had about jogging every morning.

But what exactly are these complaints? Why do they arise? What exactly is their dilemma?

Qiao Yiqiao did not write it down.

After listening to Teacher Shen Si's advice, Qiao Yi Qiao also realized this problem.

All the information he knew about the prison came from research and documentaries.

And Teacher Chen Si added one more sentence at the end.

"How do you know what prison is like if you don't go and see it?"

This also awakened Qiao Yiqiao.

Yeah, he should go to jail!

So he did it right away. The next day he proposed to the Ministry of Justice his idea of going to the prison for field research. The Ministry of Justice of course fully supported it, and sent a letter that day, and asked Xiao Jin, the secretary of Tianping Film and Television Center, to accompany Qiao Yiqiao to the real Aba Prison for field research.

Since it was inconvenient for Sabri to enter the prison, Qiao Yiqiao had to go by himself.

He and Xiao Jin arrived at Aba Prison in Sichuan and Chongqing early the next morning.

The local police officers received him warmly.

And he took the two of them into the prison to check.

This was Qiao Yiqiao's first introduction to prison.

It turns out that this place... is like a large residential area.

Each prison is divided into different prison areas, each of which usually has about 200 people, like small units.

In addition, each prison area will be divided into 4-5 squadrons, and under them there are small teams. In a word, the whole will be broken down into small teams.

Each cell, similar to a dormitory, has about 8-12 people.

The twelve people will be divided into 3-4 "mutual monitoring groups", that is, they will supervise each other. In each mutual monitoring group, everyone will share the same fate. They must also know each other's itinerary, go to the toilet together, etc. If one person violates the rules, everyone will be punished.

Qiao Yiqiao couldn't help but admire the wisdom of grassroots police officers.

It seems that no matter how many years have passed, the Chinese are still the most proficient in "rule by man".

By transferring external conflicts into internal ones, prisoners will only restrain and report each other and will rarely come into conflict with police officers.

There are many other details that Qiao Yiqiao recorded one by one: for example, they had to squat properly during roll call every day, and whoever was called had to stand up; for example, now they only needed to scan their fingerprints to buy things, and no cash or cards were allowed; for example, every prisoner had to complete the KPI of the factory work and accumulate work points, otherwise it would affect the reduction of sentence, etc.

It was also during this short one-day journey that Qiao Yiqiao benefited a lot.

He felt that the characters he had originally set up and their behaviors were not quite reasonable.

Fortunately, I didn’t show it to the Ministry of Justice, otherwise I would have been laughed at.

So on the way back, he rethought the character.

The main characters are still four prisoners, and they should all be in the same cell to make the performance more convenient.

And these four people must be serious criminals, so that the film can span the period from 1994 to 2008 from their perspective.

The crimes they committed are likely murder, robbery involving huge amounts of money, organized crime, etc.

While thinking about these characters, Qiao Yi Qiao also came up with an idea.

He seemed to know who to choose as the actor.

In his gang, there is a group of guys who wanted to rob a huge amount of money and almost formed an X-organized crime group...

And these guys are almost 30, they look the same age, and they don’t look like good people.

He thought about it carefully again and determined that these roles could only be completed by Jiang Weiguo and his team.

After all, the other members of his gang don’t meet the age requirement alone. If they want special effects makeup…

Isn't that another expense?

Anyway, they have nothing to do now.

However, although they now look like bad guys, they don’t look like prisoners.

It was not until Qiao Yi Qiao returned home that he realized that these people did not look like prisoners.

They started arguing again.

"I've already told you, I want to live at the very outside of the dormitory!"

"Why are you at the outermost position? Everyone knows that the outermost position is the most convenient."

"If you don't agree, let's just fight and see who's stronger!"

"Two hits? Do you dare to use a knife against me?"

"Who the hell wants to use a knife on you? You used to study veterinary medicine."

"You are a biology student, and you have done a lot of dissections."

"Red-haired kid, what the hell are you watching?"

"I'll see if you can hit me."

“…”

Qiao Yiqiao's bridgehead is about to grow bigger.

It was bad enough that Jiang Weiguo and the others were quarreling, but Di Le also came out to watch the show, which made things even more chaotic.

Qiao Yiqiao is very tired.

He wanted to say something, but gave up and went back to his room.

He decided to numb himself with work.

But I feel difficult when writing it. Although I gained a lot from today’s field trip, there are still many details that I am not sure about.

As I was writing, I heard a loud clanging noise downstairs.

The fight started again.

Qiao Yi Qiao put on his pajamas and planned to go downstairs to take care of things.

Although it is difficult to control, since a fight has already started, we still have to try to control it politely.

As he was walking down the stairs, he suddenly had another idea in his mind.

——"If you were a prison guard, how would you manage these people?"

Qiao Yiqiao:!

Got it!

An idea suddenly occurred to him, and he immediately turned around and went back upstairs.

After much thought, I sent a message to Director Jin.

"Director Jin, I have benefited a lot from today's field trip, but there are still many details I want to continue to experience. I would like to go to prison with several leading actors to live for a while to experience life. Do you think it's okay?"

Director Jin replied quickly.

"Okay, then you can take a look at which regional prison you want to go to. Is it a modern one or an old-fashioned one? How many people would you like in a cell? Do you want to sleep on a hard bed or a mattress? Do you want to see the scenery? Do you prefer a garden view or a mountain view...?"!
