Chapter 11 The gentle, indescribable snow-white nectar.

Chapter 11 The gentle, indescribable snow-white nectar.

After morning reading, each group leader collects homework and hands it over to the class representative, and the classroom becomes noisy and busy again.

Just as Ning Jiu was about to hand in her math homework, she heard Li Mingyuan make a "pipipi" suggestive sound.

"Sister Jiu, SOS! Help needed!"

Ning Jiu paused, turned back with her math workbook in her arms, and looked closely at Li Mingyuan's desk. She saw that there was a geometry problem in his workbook covered with correction tape marks.

Li Mingyuan said to her with an anxious expression.

"I thought about it for two hours yesterday but still couldn't figure it out. I was afraid that Sister Zhen would scold me if I submitted it. I begged Sister Jiu to be kind to me."

Time was of the essence, so Ning Jiu didn't waste any words. She gave an OK sign and neatly shoved the exercise book onto Li Mingyuan's desk.

"The data committee is about to collect it, hurry up."

"Okay!"

Not long after Lao Qin walked away, the classroom was in chaos, with people chatting, collecting homework, and returning books. Ning Jiu was busy shielding Li Mingyuan from view when she vaguely heard Dong Yi's smiling voice behind her.

"Hey Qiao, I saw you at Ya's place after school yesterday!"

Her voice was high-pitched and easily distinguishable in the noisy crowd. Upon hearing this, the students around her stopped what they were doing and turned to look at her.

As Dong Yi turned to the corresponding page of the workbook, she observed the boy's expression.

“When I arrived, you guys seemed to be almost finished eating. There was a really handsome guy sitting next to you, who looked…stunningly good-looking,” Dong Yi thought for a moment, swallowing the words “looked like he wouldn’t be easy to pursue”. “Is he also from our school?”

“No,” Qiao Bolin said succinctly as he took the notebook from Qiao Bolin’s slender fingers, “He’s my childhood friend, visiting Jiangcheng.”

"Oh, I see."

Sensing that Qiao Bolin was unwilling to say more, Dong Yi wisely refrained from asking the last question.

Don't your childhood friends have to go to school?

......

Li Mingyuan had almost finished copying the questions. To express his gratitude, he stood up and planned to hand in his and Ningjiu's homework together to the math committee.

In his haste to stand up, he moved the desk along with him, and just as the corner of the desk was about to hit Ning Jiu's waist, the latter quickly stepped back to avoid it, but ignored the surging crowd behind her—

Before her feet even touched the ground, her back was jostled back and forth. Ning Jiu lost her footing and fell to one side, but a hand caught her just in time.

His movements were natural and ordinary, but the heat emanating from his hollowed-out waist was intense. His breath flashed by, and by the time she turned around, the boy had already withdrawn his hand and was walking towards the podium with his homework.

He didn't even glance at her from beginning to end.

I recalled that eye contact during morning reading. He was the same way then, calm to the point of indifference, not even bothering to respond to ordinary classmates, and simply looked away.

Did he hate her because of that incident?

"Sister Jiu, I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to."

Hearing Li Mingyuan's apologetic voice, Ning Jiu concealed her fleeting expression and whispered, "It's okay."

-

"Good news! Good news! Old Qin returned to his psychology class from last week today!"

When the long break ended, Li Mingyuan excitedly ran around the classroom to tell everyone, and Gao Hexin's ears went numb from his shouting.

"Is the psychology classroom finished being renovated?"

The last class on Wednesday was originally a psychology class, and students were supposed to attend the class in the psychology classroom on the fifth floor of the last teaching building.

Last week, the psychology classroom wasn't finished being renovated, so Lao Qin swapped the order of the psychology class and today's class meeting.

“It just so happened last weekend,” Li Mingyuan said with a grin. “Now I can go play with Sister Ziwei again.”

Gao Hexin was also quite happy to hear this, and then she saw Qi Ruiheng carrying the math test paper that had been reviewed last week, ready to take it over.

"Damn, class monitor, you're way too stubborn."

While complaining about Qi Ruiheng, Gao Hexin also hesitated and looked at his own desk.

During high school, the pressure from peers is always invisible yet most influential.

"Ruiheng, it's your first psychology class, relax," Qiao Bolin put his arm around Qi Ruiheng's shoulder. "Didn't your grades improve at the beginning of the term?"

After being teased by Qiao Bolin, Qi Ruiheng relaxed a bit and, after thinking for a moment, said, "Sister Zhen talked to me last week, saying that there's still room for improvement in my math, and she wants to make better use of my time..."

“Your mistakes were mainly concentrated in the last two questions, one an analysis question and the other a competition question,” Qiao Bolin said. “Compared with other city-wide standardized test papers, the competition question is not very relevant. When you were correcting your mistakes, you figured out all three methods yourself. Next time, pay attention to discussing multiple scenarios to avoid losing points.”

After Qiao Bolin's analysis, Qi Ruiheng suddenly felt that his thinking was much clearer.

“That’s true. We shouldn’t leave a bad impression on Professor Luo because of these two questions,” he suddenly realized. “Let’s hurry up and go. The psychology classroom is quite far from here.”

"Um."

After Qiao Bolin and Qi Ruiheng left, Gao Hexin turned to see what Ning Jiu had taken with her and found that she had a brand new notebook in her hand.

Psychology class is a minor subject, and doing homework in class is already considered good. Most people treat it as a time to relax. This is the first time Gao Hexin has seen someone bring a notebook to class.

She was charmed by Ning Jiu's behavior, and when she looked up and saw Ning Jiu's captivating eyes, she couldn't help but sigh.

Even though I've known Ning Jiu for a week, I still sometimes get distracted when I see her face.

She's both adorable and alluring; her looks are just right for her...

"Tsuruko?"

Hearing Ning Jiu's questioning tone, Gao Hexin finally came to his senses, and his usually carefree personality became unusually embarrassed.

"Sweet wine, let's hurry! There are no assigned seats in the psychology classroom; the good spots are first come, first served!"

Before she could finish speaking, Ning Jiu felt her wrist being grabbed. Before she could even process what was happening, Gao Hexin had already run off to the classroom.

The girls' intimate laughter echoed in the stairwell, just as they brushed past a group of boys going upstairs.

Cai Liming was playing with the boys when he felt a gust of wind. He looked towards the stairwell and saw the girl's tied-up hair flowing freely with her movements, brushing against her slender, snow-white nape and leaving a faint pink mark.

Her ankles looked as if they would break at the slightest touch, and her skin, under the sunlight, had an indescribable snow-white luster.

Her slender body outlined curves in the sunlight, yet every movement exuded power and a vitality that was immediately apparent.

His throat felt a little dry as he looked at it, and he heard his companion's nonchalant voice in his ear.

"Old Qin's been strict lately, have you and the class's literature committee member broken up yet?"

“We broke up a long time ago,” Cai Liming said, feeling a surge of frustration. “I feel like every girl is the same when she’s in a relationship. They’re clingy and like to ask all sorts of questions. Even if Lao Qin hadn’t said anything, I would have broken up with her sooner or later.”

His companion chuckled, his voice sharp and mocking: "Well, our young master Cai said he really liked this style a few months ago, but now he's tired of it."

“I don’t like the goddess type anymore,” Cai Liming chuckled twice. “I like the sweet girl type.”

"Oh~"

A commotion arose from the crowd, and everyone immediately knew who Cai Liming was referring to.

“Ning Jiu looks so well-behaved, the kind of person who would tell the teacher if you held her hand,” someone commented. “But she’s really pretty. Every time she’s called on to answer a question, I can’t help but look at her.”

"Our Cai Shao has a knack for pursuing these 'goody-two-shoes' girls," another brother retorted. "That senior from Class 3 last time, wasn't she the same type? She blushed the moment we met, and then..."

As Cai Liming was listening to his brothers' discussion, he suddenly felt a light tap on his shoulder.

"Excuse me, could you move aside?"

Upon hearing the familiar voice, the group instantly fell silent.

Cai Liming turned his head unhappily, only to meet Qiao Bolin's calm gaze.

Unable to tolerate his pretentious manner any longer, Cai Liming passionately spoke up.

"When did you learn to eavesdrop?" he mocked. "You don't want to talk to us too, do you? It's okay, we're classmates. If you have this idea, just listen openly. Come and learn from us."

Li Mingyuan, who was behind him, was angered by Cai Liming's tone.

"What are you saying? The stairs are so narrow. We've been blocked by you guys for so long that we couldn't stand it anymore, so we asked you to move aside."

Cai Liming, with an air of nonchalance that said "say whatever you want," still looked at Qiao Bolin with a defiant gaze.

Qiao Bolin's lips twitched slightly when he saw Cai Liming's deliberately provocative expression.

It wasn't a mocking laugh, but rather an extremely serene one, like watching birds chirping on the branches.

Despite the seemingly minor expression, Cai Liming instantly felt a pang of pity, and a surge of inexplicable anger rose to his head.

"Damn it, Joe Bolin, you dare to give me that look again? Don't think you're so great just because you have good grades!"

"Hey, hey, we're all classmates, Cai Liming, don't go crazy..."

To outsiders, it seemed like Qiao Bolin hadn't done anything, yet Cai Liming was acting like a madman, determined to fight him to the death.

Cai Liming's brothers were all frightened by his actions and hurriedly pulled him upstairs.

Li Mingyuan and Qi Ruiheng were even more bewildered.

They exchanged glances, then couldn't help but look at the other protagonist of the sudden incident.

In stark contrast to Cai Liming's reaction, Qiao Bolin maintained a consistently gentle expression.

Noticing their gazes, Qiao Bolin remained calm and nodded his chin toward the stairwell.

"Let's go, we're going to be late."
