Chapter 60: Night of Terror

Chapter 60 A Night of Terror

Wen Siru was wearing a school uniform and sitting on a mahogany chair. In Zhao Junran's view, it was as if he was sitting on the high throne in the Hall of Hell, looking down at him.

The innate contempt and overwhelming sense of oppression that comes with the superior's intimidation without even getting angry makes one's legs and feet go weak and their backs go cold.

The bodyguards reacted quickly and arrested Zhao Junran in one move.

Looking closely, the bodyguards had golden Buddha tattoos on the same spot on their arms, exactly the same as the unfinished tattoo that Zhao Junran had just done on his hand.

Zhao Junran knew that he was powerless to save the situation. He flailed around like a madman, his features twisted as he desperately tried to break free from the bodyguard's grip. He said with a mixture of tears and smiles, "Wen Siru, I've loved you for so many years, and this is the only outcome I got. I, Zhao Junran, was wrong about you!"

Wen Si Ru gave the bodyguard a look of disgust, and the bodyguard quickly dragged the crazy Zhao Junran out of the yard.

Wen Siru picked up the Buddhist beads again and politely wiped them repeatedly with a wet tissue for a long time. Then he looked at the bloodstains on the Buddhist scriptures and said to the other bodyguards standing in a row against the wall in the yard with their hands behind their backs, "Tsk, it's dirty again. Change it for a new one."

The bodyguard nodded respectfully with a blank expression.

At the top of the yard, thick, dark clouds had completely blocked out the moonlight. The night was pitch black and not a single light could be seen.

Wen Siru stroked the white jade Buddha on his chest through his school uniform and called out softly, "Azi..."

The next night, Ren Yizi slept soundly and woke up only when it was almost time for dinner.

Outside the house, muffled thunder rumbled and heavy rain fell, crackling against the window. Drops of rain slanted in through the window cracks, soaking the bedding and sheets.

Ren Yizi immediately raised his hand to close the window, isolating the rain outside. The whole house soon felt stuffy and hard to breathe.

He went to wash up with sleepy eyes. His stomach was almost unresponsive due to the abuse and cruelty he had suffered yesterday. He relied on his memory to place an order for his daily stomach medicine at the pharmacy.

Ren Yizi hadn't eaten for a day, so he ate some bread out of hunger.

Soon, his cell phone rang, and it showed that it was an unfamiliar number. He now had a shadow over the word "unknown number" and didn't want to answer the call even if it was from the delivery man.

Ren Yizi walked straight to the door to get the medicine. During this time, he glanced at the heavy rain outside the window and thought that the delivery man was delivering the order quite quickly.

He glanced at the cat's eye out of habit.

But there was no one outside the door, no one was in sight.

Ren Yizi was just wondering when an eye suddenly appeared from nowhere, with its entire pupil pressed against the cat's eye, blocking out all the light!

The eyes were so dark that not even a ray of light could penetrate. They were staring at him without blinking!

Then, the eyes curved slightly, like a child's smiling eyes, as if to say "I see you~"

Ren Yizi's scalp felt like it was exploding, a chill ran down his spine to his brain, and he got goose bumps all over his body.

Accompanied by a loud thunder outside, he cursed in Chinese and stepped back repeatedly. He stepped on a wine bottle and stumbled, knocking his buttocks on the chair.

While still in shock, he had already guessed who was outside. He had fallen into those familiar eyes countless times.

But those eyes, in his memory, were as crystal clear as amber and absolutely beautiful, not like now, like a bottomless black hole that could swallow everything, or like a dark dungeon that could imprison people for life...

He had a premonition, took out his cell phone, and saw a strange text message from a few minutes ago, which read: Brother, if you don’t go back to school, I can only come to your house to find you. I am at your door now, please open the door, please.

Ren Yizi felt extremely horrified. He had never expected that Wen Si Ru would be quietly guarding his door. He didn't know how long he had been standing there and how long he had been looking through the peephole. If the light was better, then every move he made in the house would be seen clearly by Wen Si Ru outside.

It’s really scary to imagine this.

Ren Yizi swallowed his saliva, feeling shocked and angry, and typed quickly:

Are you going to die? Are you trying to scare me to death? I'm going to emphasize again that we've broken up! There's nothing more to say between you and me. Just open the door and forget about it. Go away.

After Ren Yizi sent this message, he blocked this number.

He was still worried. He didn't hear any movement outside, and he was too scared to look through the peephole again. Instead, he knelt on the ground and looked at the shadow of shoes.

I saw Wen Siru didn't leave at all.

What on earth is he going to do?!

After a few minutes, he suddenly heard someone knocking on the door: "Brother Zi! Open the door!"

Ren Yizi narrowed his eyes, thinking that this trick was too low-level, so he ignored him and sat on the sofa to play games.

But this time he was unlucky and lost every game because he couldn't control his attention and was distracted by the shouting outside. Wen Siru was really good at shouting, and kept repeating the words for him to open the door.

It felt okay at first, but as time went on, the empty corridor outside was filled with Wen Si Ru's repetitive words, accompanied by the sound of heavy rain, and there was a strange and stubborn feeling that he would not give up until he got into the house.
