Chapter 75 Love of My Life
Three days and six exams passed by quickly.
After the last exam, the teaching building was filled with all kinds of heartfelt roars:
"My youth is over!"
"Freedom! Long live!"
"I'm here with my phone! Teacher! Give me a phone!"
"xxx, I love you!"
Many people in the class came back and started throwing away their textbooks, muttering "It's finally over". Everyone had a smile on their face and was discussing what to eat for the farewell dinner today.
Ren Yizi refused the class gathering. He said something to Qin Yang, then left alone with his schoolbag on his back.
He took the bus and then the subway to the temple he had visited before with Wen Siru. The temple was still very popular, but because it was a working day, there were fewer people than usual.
Ren Yizi walked up the stairs that he had not climbed at that time because he was too tired and troublesome. He heard that if he climbed this ladder to the highest point of the mountain, he could make a wish, and it was very effective.
He was originally an atheist and a staunch materialist, but in order to pray for peace for Wen Si Ru, he prayed everywhere but to no avail. In the end, he chose to pray to Buddha and worship gods.
Ren Yizi finally climbed to the top and knelt down in the temple to beg Wen Siru to wake up.
When he was going down the mountain, he received a call. The person on the other end said that he was Wen Si Ru's psychologist and wanted to meet him.
Ren Yizi took a taxi to the mental hospital and saw Pei Yin. He said, "Are you the doctor who worked with Wen Siru when I was hospitalized last time? I thought you were his friend."
Pei Yin brought Ren Yizi to the hospital and said as they walked, "Well, I'm his special psychologist. I've been with him for many years."
Ren Yizi didn't quite understand: "Then why did you look for me?"
Pei Yin turned his golden watch and said seriously, "You are a very amazing person. Wen Siru's healing case was successful. You played a key role in it. It can already be included in the special tutorial. So I want to talk to you."
Ren Yizi was confused, but after all, he wanted to understand Wen Si Ru more deeply, so it would not be a bad idea to contact Wen Si Ru's specialized psychologist.
Pei Yin led him to a large room and continued, "This is the room where Wen Siru stayed when he was receiving treatment."
Ren Yizi looked around. The windows were bright, there were many books on the bookshelf, the bed was very clean and tidy, and there were several Rubik's Cubes on the desk. If this was not the inpatient department of the hospital, he would have thought this was Wen Siru's bedroom.
He sat on Wen Siru's bed and asked, "What kind of mental illness does he have? Why does he have to live here?"
Fei Yin did not specifically mention the disease that Wen Si Ru had, but talked a lot about Wen Si Ru's past. He said that when Wen Si Ru was in the first year of high school, he told others that he was going to the United States, but in fact he came to them after only a few days.
He also said that Wen Si Ru felt like he was on vacation here and was not afraid of it at all. He taught himself high school lessons whenever he had time. He loved reading and often sat in front of the window to read a lot of books.
Wen Si Ru has no desire to eat. In his view, eating is just a way to maintain vital signs.
He is very good at hands-on work and likes to make some small inventions by himself, but most of these inventions are used to tease doctors and nurses. Wen Si Ru is sometimes like a child.
Fei Yin talked a lot about Wen Si Ru. He looked at the Buddhist beads in Ren Yizi's hand, and suddenly thought of how Wen Si Ru looked when he was looking for the ring before. At that time, he almost didn't recognize Wen Si Ru.
The heavy rain hit the umbrellas heavily. Students hurried to avoid the rain, two or three people squeezed under one umbrella. Passersby looked hurried, and everyone was rushing home.
At the edge of the grass at the school gate, Wen Si Ru's school uniform was soaked by the rain, but he still sat on the ground, digging into the grass inch by inch, leaving scratches on his hands. Blood kept flowing from the wounds, even staining the grass red.
Pei Yin held up an umbrella and walked over to shield him from the rain: "Don't look for it anymore. There is no ring here. Let's go back."
The chill of the rainy day penetrated straight into the lapels and cuffs of clothes, and a hint of blood floated in the air.
Wen Siru remained steadfast and said, "No. As long as I find the ring, I can get back together with him."
Pei Yin sighed: "Why bother? Master Ru, I can't recognize you in this state."
Wen Siru looked up: "Is it embarrassing? So what? I have never cared about other people's eyes. I have always done what I think is right.
A hundred years later, when I am on my deathbed, I will look back on the past and say: It was worth it and I never regret it.
I also want someone to carve Ah Zi's name on my tombstone, followed by the words "The Love of My Life."
Wen Siru spoke with tears streaming down his face. He slowly stood up, his fair face stained with raindrops. He wiped his face with his hand and was about to leave when he suddenly turned back. There was a smear of scarlet blood on his cheek. His eyes were sinister, and he gave Pei Yin a strange and sinister smile.
"I get everything I want, and I never fail."
After he finished speaking, he walked into the rain alone, his tall figure standing out like a crane.
A few words suddenly flashed through Pei Yin's mind:
——Defying the frost and snow.
Everyone passing by the school gate focused their attention on Wen Si Ru.
Wen Si Ru was very famous in Hanmo, and almost everyone recognized him. When the students passed by him, some of them covered their mouths and looked at him several times, and some kind people even handed him a Band-Aid. No one knew what had happened, and the next day, news spread in the school that Wen Si Ru had suffered a mental breakdown due to emotional trauma.
Such an abnormal incident became the topic of gossip among students after dinner. They had seen Wen Si Ru in such a dazzling state many times, and it was rare to see him so fragile and injured. It was like seeing the fall of a god, which was really pitiful.
The curious are still trying to figure out who caused Wen Si Ru to become like this, but in the end nothing is revealed and no one can guess the answer.
Ren Yizi learned about this from Pei Yin, and then he understood why Wen Siru came to his door in such a miserable state and with a smell of blood.
When leaving, Fei Yin's last words to him left a lasting impression on Ren Yizi:
"You can tell he really loves you. You're his medical miracle."
Ren Yizi then said with a half-smile, "Miracle?"
Pei Yin nodded seriously.
But Ren Yizi turned around and left. He had a lot of pain in his heart that he couldn't express. No one knew that Wen Si Ru had once dealt him a heavy blow mentally, making him feel that the world was dark and gray for a time. But Wen Si Ru had also helped him a lot, allowing him to walk out of the haze and see the bright sunshine again.
He also didn't quite agree with Pei Yin's words, saying that he was Wen Si Ru's medical miracle. In fact, it was just the opposite. Wen Si Ru's light shone on him in the dark corner, giving him countless light and warmth.
Now he thought back to his interactions with Wen Si Ru. Although he might have intended to tease him at the beginning, a gentleman judges actions rather than intentions, and Wen Si Ru had indeed not done anything to harm him, so he could magnanimously forgive this childish teasing.
Ren Yizi, on the contrary, felt that he and Wen Siru were like two trapped beasts, healing each other, licking each other's wounds, snuggling up to each other, and walking side by side on the long journey of life.
Wen Siru is his soul mate, his only trump card, and the lover he loves to the core.
At this moment, a phone call came in, interrupting Ren Yizi's memories. The note on the number was "Wen Jiaen."
Ren Yizi answered the call immediately. He said "Hello" and after listening to what Wen Jiaen said, he immediately ran as fast as he could, almost dropping his phone. He stopped a taxi on the side of the road and asked the driver to increase the occupancy and drive straight to the hospital.
