Zhuang Zhimeng and Jiang Yanxia had only been discussing An Qingbai and Su Mengmeng for a couple of days when they returned, bringing back a fairly new hand-held tractor.
A series of sputtering sounds came from afar, attracting the attention of the workers who were at work. They all stopped what they were doing and looked over.
Then, An Qingbai appeared in their view driving a tractor with Su Mengmeng in tow, and An Baogen excitedly ran towards them.
The villagers wanted to gather around, but An Baogen ran past them, so they didn't move. It would have been the same if they had gone to check on the tractor after work.
When An Qingbai saw An Baogen running over, he stopped the tractor. An Baogen ran up to An Qingbai, excitedly grabbed his arm, and asked, "Qingbai, was this tractor approved for our brigade by the commune?"
An Qingbai reassured An Baogen, and without beating around the bush, told him directly, "Yes, Uncle Baogen, this tractor was indeed approved for our brigade by the commune. Mengmeng and I have learned it well, and the commune leaders are very satisfied!"

The children surrounded Su Mengmeng, asking her to tell them interesting stories about learning to drive a tractor. Su Mengmeng told the stories vividly, making the children laugh out loud. An Qingbai, listening from the driver's seat, couldn't help but laugh as well.
An Qingbai parked the tractor at the brigade headquarters, where there was an empty shed that was perfect for parking the tractor and also to protect it from the rain.
An Qingbai turned off the tractor, and Su Mengmeng jumped off the tractor to help him carry the children off the tractor one by one.
An Qingbai asked the children, "Do you know where Sister Zhimeng is?"
A child told him, "I know, I saw Sister Zhimeng digging for wild vegetables in the area where monkey leg vegetables grow."
"Okay, I understand, thank you!"
An Qingbai watched the children circling the tractor and warned them, "You can look, but don't climb on the tractor anymore, or you'll fall!"
The children all responded, "Yes, Brother Qingbai!"
The children circled the tractor, looking at it again and again, even reaching out to touch it. It took them a while to get over their novelty before they said goodbye to An Qingbai and Su Mengmeng, "Goodbye, Brother Qingbai, Brother Mengmeng! We're going home!"
An Qingbai and Su Mengmeng both waved to the children, "Goodbye!"
