Chapter 11 Why is it so hot tonight?
The meal was a pleasant one for both host and guests. Everyone knew that Sister Tang was a good cook, and Pei Jiuyan and the others had eaten together many times because of Zan Zan.
Qin Suisui ate it for the first time, and her eyes lit up. Aunt Tang's cooking skills were no worse than her own housekeeper's! If it weren't for her injury and Pei Jiuyan's supervision that prevented her from eating too much spicy food, she would have been even happier today!
After seeing the guests off, Qin Suisui prepared to tidy up the table. After all, they had been busy, and she couldn't just do nothing. But when she turned around, she was stunned to see so many empty bowls and plates on the table. How could there be so many? Did they eat all that?

Pei Jiuyan also carried a kettle of hot water that was heating on the coal stove upstairs, and helped Qin Suisui fill a small bucket with cold water from the tap. He then helped Qin Suisui to the bathroom door, clearing his throat and asking, "Can you manage on your own? Do you need me...?"
"No need! I can do it! Thank you!"
Qin Suisui spoke those three sentences very loudly, then dashed into the bathroom, slammed the door shut, and locked it in one swift motion.
Pei Jiuyan touched his nose. Luckily, it was less than a centimeter away, and his nose would have been ruined.
Thinking of Qin Suisui's blushing face just now, he found it adorable again. He leaned against the door and smiled for a long time before slowing down his voice and speaking softly to the person inside, "I'm going to clean up downstairs. Zanzan will be waiting for you at the door. Take your time washing. Don't rush. Don't get the wound wet. If you need anything, just shout for him. In the inside pocket of one of the wool coats, Qin Suisui found two bankbooks opened in her name, one with 50,000 yuan and the other with 80,000 yuan. Her parents were afraid that she would suffer, so they tried to find ways to send money to her.

The third package was a little smaller than the previous two. It was hot on Qiongtan Island and they would spoil easily, so she couldn't bear to waste any of them. She would take them out slowly later.
When Pei Jiuyan came in after washing up, he saw Qin Suisui standing by the wardrobe hanging clothes. The little girl looked particularly thin and pitiful standing in front of the big wardrobe.
Pei Jiuyan walked over, supporting her arm and leading her to the bed: "You're still injured, so just sit on the bed. I..." Qin Suisui kicked off the blanket while she was sleeping, revealing her fair and tender arms in short-sleeved pajamas. She swayed back and forth on the bright red blanket, making Pei Jiuyan afraid to look in that direction. He could only curl up his legs and shrink into a corner. There was a faint fragrance of the young girl in the air. Pei Jiuyan felt unbearably hot. Why was Qiongtan Island so hot this year?
