Chapter Six / Section One: A Long-Awaited Reunion
They finally met that day, but one of them was late. They didn't know if they could spend the rest of their lives together as compensation for the lateness.
Mu Xinghe's eyes were filled with longing and tears. She wouldn't let Jing Moran leave like this, she wouldn't abandon him. However, she could no longer catch up with him, and no matter how hard she tried to find him, it seemed too late.

Xiong Yingguang looked into Jing Mozhan's eyes, which were filled with unspeakable tears and thoughts.
He knew he could be her family, but they could never break the taboo of blood ties. They couldn't have children, they couldn't truly be together forever. He would have his own family, and how could someone like her cross that forbidden line?
"Jing Moran... they are monsters, monsters without the ability to feel pain. Together they only hurt each other. Has he forgotten? They started that fire, they killed people, does he even know that?"
