Chapter 4 He took one step forward, he took one step back.

Zhou Rui blushed even more and her heart raced after hearing what he said. She pushed He Muchen away from her, who was getting close to her, and said, "I didn't."

"If you don't have it, you don't have it. Why get so worked up?"

He Muchen smiled mysteriously. Zhou Rui stopped talking and just lowered his head shyly, no longer looking at He Muchen. He was afraid that if he looked any longer, he would kiss him directly.

The elevator suddenly fell silent, so quiet that they could hear each other breathing.

Just as He Muchen was about to start a conversation, the elevator suddenly went dark. Fortunately, the elevator had just reached the first floor before it started to descend, so there wasn't much noise.

When the elevator went dark, He Muchen quickly hugged Zhou Rui, afraid that Zhou Rui would be scared, and comforted him by stroking his head:

"It's okay, I'm here."

In fact, Zhou Rui wasn't scared at all, but he didn't want to break free from the embrace he had fantasized about countless times.

Now that he's finally holding him, he'd be willing to die even if it meant his own death.

He Muchen didn't hear Zhou Rui speaking from his arms and started to get anxious.

He knew he had asthma, and now that he was in this confined space, he was worried something might happen to him.

"Zhou Rui, are you alright? You weren't scared to death, were you? If you're still breathing, please make a sound."

Zhou Rui was still immersed in her husband's warm embrace, unable to extricate herself.

Zhou Rui was too happy to respond to him. She thought to herself, "Elevator, please slow down. Let my husband hug me a little longer."

He Muchen still didn't hear Zhou Rui respond. He reached out and touched his nose, feeling that he was still breathing, and then he breathed a sigh of relief.

He took out his phone from his pocket, held it up to turn on the light, looked at Zhou Rui in his arms, closed his eyes, smiled, and hugged his waist.

A smile crept onto my face: This little rascal, how much does he enjoy being held like this! He's even enjoying it with his eyes closed, his mind probably filled with all sorts of random thoughts.

He Muchen coughed lightly and lowered his head gently, saying:

"Zhou Rui, let go first. I'll press the SOS button and call someone to rescue us. You can hold my waist again later?"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Rui reflexively released his arms and said in a flustered manner:

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I was just really scared. I thought I was clinging to a lifeline."

He Muchen smiled as he looked at Zhou Rui, who was hurriedly explaining. In fact, when he was holding Zhou Rui just now, he also felt that Zhou Rui's soft body was very warm.

Like the winter sun, it brings warmth to people in a cold environment, and the experience is really good.

He Muchen pressed the emergency call button on the elevator. After the call ended, the elevator fell silent again, and He Muchen and Zhou Rui stopped talking.

He Muchen was very frustrated. Zhou Rui had just been very affectionate in holding him, so why was he so far away from him now?

Whenever He Muchen gets even a little closer to him, Zhou Rui inexplicably takes a step back to the side.

He Muchen cornered him against the wall and asked, looking down, "Why are you avoiding me?"

Zhou Rui said guiltily, "I wasn't avoiding you."

"You still say no? Every time I take a step closer to you, you take a step back. Now I've cornered you. Your body is more honest than your mouth."

He Muchen held up his phone in one hand and pinched his little face with the other.

He found that ever since he pinched Zhou Rui's face, he couldn't control his hands and wanted to pinch his face even more.

Zhou Rui awkwardly forced a big, fake smile:

"I stepped back not because I was afraid you wouldn't have anywhere to stand, but because I was avoiding you."

"Oh, then I'll just stand here like this now, you don't mind, do you?"

He Muchen pinned Zhou Rui against the corner of the elevator, surrounding him and standing in front of him. He was already almost a head taller than Zhou Rui.

In addition, Zhou Rui's head and body are small, while He Muchen's body is relatively large.

Looking from behind He Muchen, you can't see Zhou Rui under him at all, just like He Muchen was punished by his parents for making him stand with his nose against the wall to reflect on his mistakes.

"If you don't mind, then of course I don't mind either. But when the door opens and people see a popular idol like this, they might think you're bullying me. It wouldn't be good if someone took a picture and posted it online," Zhou Rui said, feigning composure.

Actually, he was panicking inside, his heart was about to jump out of his chest. Being pinned against the wall by his own husband like this was something he never dared to dream of.

He secretly liked his husband treating him this way, but he had to pretend he didn't. Zhou Rui himself felt like he was acting a little crazy.

He Muchen pinched his chubby little face and smiled wickedly:

"It's okay, I'm not afraid. I have plenty of ways to remove those photos and keep them safe so I can enjoy them at my leisure."

Zhou Rui had no choice but to shut up. On the surface, he didn't say anything, but in his mind, he was thinking: "Whatever you say, honey, you can just pounce on me right now."

He Muchen pinched his chubby little face again: "Why aren't you saying anything? Are you scared?"

"Huh? What do you want me to say? Call me a pervert? But I still want this job."

Zhou Rui looked at He Muchen with her big, watery eyes, blinking rapidly.

He Muchen swallowed hard. How could this person have stars in his eyes? He really wanted to go up and bully him.

Wouldn't it be even more beautiful if tears actually welled up in his big, watery eyes?

He Muchen dared not look at Zhou Rui and let his mind wander. He turned around, leaned against the wall, and looked up to breathe.

How could I have such strange thoughts about someone I've only met for less than a day?

Zhou Rui looked at He Muchen beside him in confusion. What was wrong?

Just a moment ago, she was so confident, saying that even if someone took her picture, she could take it down and enjoy it at her leisure. How come she's suddenly stopped trying to block herself?
