Chapter 8 He Muchen's Jealousy

Zhou Rui snapped out of his daze, smiled, and walked into the house, with He Muchen following him inside.

Zhou Rui looked around his home. It was warm and cozy, the home he had always longed for. If all of this was just a dream, he just wanted to wake up slowly. He just wanted to linger a little longer, to savor the warmth he had never felt before. Even just a little bit would be enough.

Ms. Lin Yi handed He Muchen a pair of slippers, and He Muchen smiled and said, "Thank you, Auntie."

"There's no need to thank me, Xiao He," Lin Yi said, swooning over He Muchen, the young star she admired.

He Muchen and Zhou Rui looked at Lin Yi in surprise. Zhou Rui's mother felt a little embarrassed by He Muchen's gaze, but she still spoke without hesitation.

"Xiao He, let me introduce myself. I'm your mom fan, my name is Lin Yi."

Zhou Rui looked awkwardly at the mother of the body's original owner. It turned out that Zhou Rui's mother also liked He Muchen.

Could it be that the original owner of this body also liked He Muchen, which is why my soul happened to enter his body?

And his own soul entered his body, but where did Zhou Rui's soul go?

He Muchen was a little embarrassed, but he still smiled calmly and said, "Ms. Lin Yi, hello, thank you for your kind words."

When He Muchen saw Zhou Rui's mother, he breathed a sigh of relief. Now he knew that Zhou Rui didn't have a problem with his brain, but had actually inherited his mother's wisdom.

Zhou Rui's mother was a little excited when she saw He Muchen: "Little He, are you thirsty? Auntie will get you some water. Are you hungry? Auntie will get you something to eat."

He Muchen smiled and said, "Auntie, I'm not thirsty or hungry."

Zhou Rui's mother sat next to He Muchen and kept talking, and He Muchen nodded and smiled in response.

Zhou Rui sat on the other side of the sofa, holding his forehead as he watched his mother fawn over He Muchen. He finally understood why He Muchen had taken him to the mental hospital; it was truly unbearable to watch.

After a while, Ms. Lin Yi led He Muchen to Zhou Rui's room. Zhou Rui followed them to see the room where he would be living. When he opened the door, the room was full of Zhou Yuzhi, and there was a Zhou Yuzhi doll lying on the bed.

Zhou Rui was completely dumbfounded. This morning, she kept calling He Muchen "husband" in front of him, and now her room was full of her husband's "teammates." How was she going to explain this to her husband?

"Damn it, so Zhou Rui is madly in love with Zhou Yuzhi," Ms. Lin Yi said with a smile to He Muchen, whose face was pale.

"Xiao He, wait a minute, I'm going to get the poster. Can you sign it for me?"

He Muchen suppressed his anger and forced a smile as he addressed Zhou Ruidi's mother: "Okay, Auntie."

Lin Yi went to the floor in a small corner of Zhou Rui's room and rummaged through a small cardboard box for the few posters of He Muchen. He Muchen walked up to Zhou Rui with a dark face.

"Is this what you call liking that person? I'm not that similar to Zhou Yuzhi, am I? And am I worse than him?"

Zhou Rui froze, lowered his head, and stammered, "No...it doesn't seem like it...let me explain...I really...like..."

"Xiao He, come and sign an autograph for Auntie. Don't mind me. My Rui Rui is a big fan of Zhou Yuzhi from your group, but I'm a big fan of you. We often argue because of this, and he even put your poster in a corner for me."

"Auntie, there's nothing we can do. It's his room, so we have to compromise. But I like you, huh?"

Seeing He Muchen's face grow even uglier, and that he still wanted to sign an autograph for his mother, Zhou Rui felt like he wanted to sew Ms. Lin Yi's mouth shut.

If I don't sew it up now, and I continue to like and pursue my husband like this, I won't be able to clear my image in his eyes even if I jump into the Yellow River.

He Muchen said coldly, "Auntie, does Rui Rui usually dislike me that much?"

Ms. Lin Yi further fueled the fire of resentment in He Muchen's heart.

"Yes, every time I mention you in front of him, he gets upset and argues with me for hours."

He Muchen forced a smile and said through gritted teeth, "Oh, so I'm such a failure in Rui Rui's eyes."

Zhou Rui excitedly explained loudly, "No, I really like you."

Ms. Lin Yi patted Zhou Rui on the shoulder with a speechless expression: "Son, we can't speak against our conscience. If you don't like it, you don't like it. Stop pretending. Everything in this house is obvious."

"Little He isn't blind."

Zhou Rui smiled bitterly and said nothing more, because he realized that no matter how he explained, He Muchen would not believe that he liked him, and he himself did not like Zhou Yuzhi at all.

Zhou Baihui called from outside, "Wife, come over and try this dish, how does it taste?"

Hearing Zhou Baihui shout, Lin Yi looked unhappy, her face showing resentment at being interrupted from admiring a handsome man. She walked out of the room, yelling:

"What are you yelling about? Is your tongue just for decoration?"

Only an embarrassed Zhou Rui and a dark-faced He Muchen remained in the room. He Muchen walked to the bedside, looked at Zhou Yuzhi's doll, and grabbed the doll by the neck, saying:

"Now you're satisfied. Being our assistant and getting close to Zhou Yuzhi, aren't you happy?"

Zhou Rui quickly walked to He Muchen's side and explained to him without hesitation, "He Muchen, I really don't like Zhou Yuzhi. I've always liked you."

He Muchen turned and approached Zhou Rui. Zhou Rui was so frightened that his legs went weak and he sat down on the bed. He Muchen moved even closer to him, forcing him down on the bed and pressing him down as he asked, "Oh, so why have you always liked me?"

He Muchen probed Zhou Rui, waiting for his explanation. He would believe him as long as it was Zhou Rui who gave him an explanation.

Zhou Rui didn't dare to meet He Muchen's gaze as he looked down at him. He turned his head away, swallowing saliva as he stammered, "I just... really want... to have you."
