Ho King-sun took a deep breath, smiled, and reluctantly said "okay."
"Second brother, have you been playing here all day?"
Ho King-sun hummed in response, without saying anything more.
Zhou Rui looked at the indifferent He Jingshen, but didn't dare to ask anything more, and followed behind them.
The three of them walked in silence to the entrance of the haunted house, where Ho King-sun suggested that they go in and have some fun.
Liu Qi stood blankly at the door, reluctant to go in, because he was afraid of the dark, so he always left a light on when he slept at home.
Seeing Liu Qi standing there motionless, Zhou Rui went up and patted him on the shoulder, "Little Liu, Brother Qi, why are you standing here in a daze? Are you alright?"
Liu Qi chuckled dryly, "It's nothing, I just suddenly need to use the restroom, you guys go in first."
Ho King-sun grabbed Lau Kei, who was about to slip away, and said, "I'll go with you. I also need to use the restroom."
Zhou Rui stood there watching the two leave, leaving him standing there.
"What does this mean? Should we wait for them to come in together, or go in alone first?"
"Never mind, let's wait for them."
Zhou Rui sat on a bench nearby, waiting for them.
Zhou Rui's phone rang. It was He Muchen calling. He had just finished filming and couldn't be seen leaving the set.
"Hey, honey, where are you?"
"I ran into my second brother and the others. We came to the haunted house together. They're in the restroom now, and I'm waiting for them at the entrance."
"Oh, then wait for me where you are, I'll be right there."
"good…"
Zhou Rui waited at the door but didn't see He Jingshen and the others. Instead, He Muchen appeared, wearing a mask, and walked over from a distance.
He Muchen walked closer and stroked his head, saying aggrievedly, "Wife, could you please not disappear from my sight next time?"
Zhou Rui looked at him in confusion, "I didn't suddenly disappear. I saw you guys filming, which would probably take a long time, and I was bored, so I just wandered around the neighborhood."
"I didn't expect to run into my second brother and his group. My second brother asked me if I wanted to join them. I thought I'd play for a while and then come find you after you finished filming."
He Muchen hugged Zhou Rui tightly. He hadn't seen Zhou Rui after filming and was really worried that he had disappeared.
The sense of loss I feel when he's not around is really hard to bear.
"Honey, if you want to play, I can play with you, but you can't just leave me without saying a word, okay?"
"Okay, I'll let you know next time."
He Muchen pinched his nose and said indulgently, "I want there to be a next time."
Zhou Rui grinned and took his arm, pressing himself against him. "There won't be a next time. From now on, I'll stick to you. Wherever you go, I'll go."
He Muchen gently ruffled his hair with satisfaction, smiling happily.
cough cough…
"You two have gone too far. Even though there aren't many people around at night, it doesn't mean there's no one here, okay?" He Jingshen said sarcastically.
He was genuinely jealous that his younger brother had a soft, clingy wife, while his own wife was not only not clingy, but also seemed to want to distance herself from him at any time.
"Do you two want to go in and play? If not, go play by yourselves."
Zhou Rui said excitedly, "Playing is more fun with lots of people."
Zhou Rui pulled on He Muchen's arm, and He Muchen pretended to be calm and followed beside him.
He Jingshen glanced at He Muchen and asked him incredulously, "Brother, are you sure?"
He Mu-chen was suddenly touched on a sore spot by He Jing-shen: He Mu-chen wasn't afraid of the dark, he was afraid of ghosts.
Although he knew there were no ghosts in the world, he was still afraid.
As a child, I was often teased by my two older brothers, which caused me to fall seriously ill and left me with deep trauma.
Zhou Rui looked at He Muchen with a puzzled expression, "Honey, what does Second Brother mean? Are you scared?"
He Muchen pulled Zhou Rui into the haunted house, muttering under his breath, "I'm not afraid of ghosts at all."
Zhou Rui didn't hear what he said, and was pulled into the haunted house by him.
Ho King-sun pulled Lau Kei along as they entered the haunted house.
Liu Qi glared at him unhappily. "Who told you to pull me in? I didn't want to come in to play at all!"
Just as he was glaring at him, a cold hand suddenly grabbed his ankle.
Terrified, he grabbed He Jingshen's waist and hid in his arms, crying out, "Senior, a ghost is pulling on my leg, I can't move!"
Ho King-sun hugged him tightly and looked down at his feet, where a ghost lying on the ground was mocking him.
"It's okay, I'm here."
He Jingshen picked up Liu Qi, whose legs honestly hooked around He Jingshen's waist, and whose face was buried in He Jingshen's neck, not daring to look at anything happening around them.
He was afraid of the dark, but he never thought he would be so cowardly as to be afraid of ghosts. It was so embarrassing that he was carried by Ho King-sun the whole time.

He Muchen and Zhou Rui walked ahead. He Muchen wore a mask the whole time and held Zhou Rui's hand as they walked beside him. His palms were sweaty.
Zhou Rui whispered, "Honey, are you hot? Your palms are sweaty."
To maintain a good image in front of his wife, He Muchen pouted and said, "A little..."
"Actually, it's dark here, so you should be able to take off your mask without anyone noticing who you are."
"No need, I'm afraid that if someone sees it and posts it online, it won't be good, and my sister will scold me again."
"Oh, okay."
Zhou Rui excitedly greeted the ghosts who had scared them, wishing he could take a picture with them.
He Muchen, standing to the side, was completely different from him. He broke out in a cold sweat, wondering how this haunted house could be so big and whether he would never be able to get out.
The ghosts in the haunted house could tell he was a little scared, so they sent the ghosts behind him to scare He Muchen.
He Muchen held Zhou Rui's hand tightly, and Zhou Rui smiled and said, "Honey, I'm not afraid, don't hold me so tightly."
"Honey, to be honest, I've loved these things since I was a child."
He Muchen sighed deeply, "Alright..."
Zhou Rui saw something bright ahead and curiously wanted to go look, but He Muchen stopped him, saying, "Don't go, there's probably a scary ghost..."
"It's okay, honey. Those ghosts are just people in disguise. There are no ghosts in this world, so it's not that scary," Zhou Rui whispered in He Muchen's ear.
“But…they are really terrifying.” He Muchen stood still.
Zhou Rui was stunned when he heard this. Looking at He Muchen, whose eyes seemed a little strange, was he scared? So the sweat on his palms wasn't from the heat of the enclosed space, but from the cold sweat of fear.
Zhou Rui went up and hugged He Muchen, leaning against him and whispering, "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were scared, and I excitedly pulled you to greet this ghost and that ghost. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, I'm not actually that scared. But my wife is really brave, she's not afraid of them at all." He Muchen affectionately patted his head.
Zhou Rui tiptoed and kissed He Muchen. Although he only managed to kiss He Muchen's mask, he still wanted to kiss him.
Zhou Rui smiled and said to He Muchen, "Husband, please close your eyes, give me your hand, and I'll take you away from here."
