Chapter 267 Selling Crayfish

"Yes, sir!" The Duck-voiced Man jumped up happily when he saw that Jiang Yue actually supported him in fishing for crayfish.

Tang Ziyang looked at the duck-voiced man who picked up the empty bucket and ran away, and suddenly an expression that was difficult to describe appeared on his face.

"Why are you still encouraging him to skip school?"

"How could I support him skipping school? Don't talk nonsense!" Jiang Yue waved her hands, her attention focused on the crayfish crawling all over the ground.

"Tang Ziyang, do me a favor and put all these into the basin and wash them clean! You know how to wash crayfish? Brush their abdomen with a brush, cut off their claws, leaving only the big claws, and remove the shrimp thread." After Jiang Yue gave Tang Ziyang instructions, she picked up the basket and was ready to go out.

"Where are you going?" Tang Ziyang hurriedly chased after him and asked.

"Let's go to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy some things." Jiang Yue planned to cook crayfish, but there were not enough ingredients at home, so she had to buy two bottles of beer.

"I'll go with you!" Tang Ziyang wanted to follow.

"No need! You can wash the crayfish at home and make delicious food for lunch! I guarantee you will all want more!" Jiang Yue pushed Tang Ziyang back.

At noon, bursts of strong fragrance wafted from the Tang family's courtyard, attracting all the neighbors to come out of their homes and look outside for where the fragrance came from. Then they all walked to the door of the Tang family, sniffing with their noses raised.

"Jingjing, what delicious food did your family cook? It smells so good!" When the neighbor lady saw Tang Jingjing coming out, she stopped her and asked.

"Oh, my cousin is cooking crayfish!" Tang Jingjing was already very angry, especially when she saw that the third brother actually dared to go fishing for crayfish. She was so angry that she wanted to kick this useless brother out.

As a result, the third brother said that Jiang Yue asked him to catch more crayfish, which made Tang Jingjing lose her temper.

"Crayfish? The shell of that thing is so hard and there is not much meat. How do you eat it?" The neighbor lady immediately thought that the Tang family must be having a hard time recently and had no money to buy vegetables, so they could only catch some crayfish to eat.

In the local area, only poor families would roast lobsters for dinner, after all, it is meat.

Tang Jingjing just came out to feed Bao Xiaojuan some water, and when she returned to the kitchen, she saw Tang Ziyang and Gong Yashang sitting around the small table next to the stove, eating non-stop.

"Sister, it's really delicious! I didn't know crayfish are so delicious!" The drake shouted in a duck voice, and his hands kept peeling shrimps and stuffing them into his mouth.

Tang Jingjing was not surprised that her third brother ate like this, but she was shocked that her usually calm second brother also ate without even raising his head.

"Is it really that delicious?" Tang Jingjing thought it smelled good, but she had no meat at home before, and when she wanted to satisfy her craving, she had roasted lobsters. However, the shells were hard, and it took a lot of firewood to roast them after a long time, but the meat inside was still not cooked through, and it had no flavor. It was dry and woody.

"It's delicious! Sister, please try it!" Gong Yachang dipped a peeled shrimp in the soup and handed it to Tang Jingjing.

As soon as the soup takes a bite, you'll feel its spicy, fresh flavor, and the great satisfaction from your taste buds goes straight to your brain.

"Sister Jingjing, what do you think?" Jiang Yue asked with a smile as she watched the three siblings unable to stop eating.

"Delicious! So delicious!" Tang Jingjing's eyes lit up and she immediately joined the battle.

At this time, Jiang Yue's eyes turned and said, "Then let's go out and sell crayfish, what do you think?"

"What? Selling crayfish?" The three siblings of the Tang family looked at each other in shock.

In the evening, at the gate of Jiacheng’s largest agricultural machinery factory, workers who were leaving get off work smelled a strong fragrance as they walked out of the factory.

"What smells so good?" After working for several hours and digesting their lunch, the workers were all starving and were just waiting to rush home for dinner. At this moment, they suddenly smelled such a delicious smell and their stomachs began to growl.

"Crawfish for sale! Delicious crawfish! Try it before you buy. If it doesn't taste good, I won't charge you!"

Just as the workers were looking for the source of the food aroma, they suddenly heard a hawking voice. It was a girl's voice, sweet and pleasant.

"What are crayfish?" The workers followed the sound and found three people sitting under a big tree opposite. They confirmed that the fragrance was coming from the bucket in front of them.

"Hey, isn't this a crayfish? Girl, are you kidding us? If this thing is delicious, I'll take its head off and kick it like a ball!" A worker laughed after seeing the crayfish in the bucket.

"Brother, you can try it first! It's free!" Jiang Yue handed over the iron basin full of crayfish, smiling all the time, and was not unhappy because of the workers' ridicule.

"Then I have to try it!" A younger worker reached out and picked up a crayfish, peeled the shell and took a bite. His eyes suddenly lit up, "Is this really a crayfish? How come it tastes so good?"

Before the worker had even finished eating a shrimp, he asked about the price. "How much is it? Two cents? Give me five pounds."

"There are three flavors here. Which one do you want?" Jiang Yue introduced the three buckets of crayfish with spicy, thirteen spices and garlic flavors.

"I want it spicy!"

Jiang Yue set the price for a pound of crayfish at 20 cents, and also added side dishes such as onions, cucumber strips, green beans, etc., all of which were produced in the Tang family’s vegetable garden.

So, a pound of crayfish actually contains two ounces of side dishes, and about eight ounces of crayfish.

Jiang Yue didn't think there was anything wrong with this. Eating crayfish alone would make you sick of it. It would be good if you added some side dishes to adjust the taste, and the side dishes were very tasty. In the past, she liked to pick out the cucumbers and rice cakes inside the crayfish.

The first business just after opening was sold for one dollar. Jiang Yue saw that the two Tang brothers, who had been timid and reserved, now got into the mood.

Tang Ziyang put the crayfish in a small bucket, weighed them, removed the bucket, and then poured the crayfish onto a large lotus leaf and wrapped it up.
