It was not an illusion; someone was really turning the door lock, and the footsteps in the yard were real.
Jiang Yue's heart was pounding with fear. When she checked the doors and windows just now, she took a knife from the kitchen and placed it on the bedside table for self-defense. At this moment, she quickly grabbed the knife, walked to the window, quietly opened a crack and looked out.
