"I'll give you an answer in five minutes! I'll be out for a while!" Gu Ye did not immediately accept Director Shen's invitation. He turned around and walked out the door after he finished speaking.
Director Shen thought that Gu Ye still had a schedule to arrange, so he was not in a hurry. He picked up the phone and dialed the number of the county cultural center, "Hello, I'm looking for He Jingxuan!"
Gu Ye went downstairs and saw Jiang Yue standing at the gate of the Public Security Bureau, talking to a middle-aged woman. Ning Ning followed her obediently.
He couldn't help but think of the time when Jiang Yue was surrounded and blocked by Xu Ergou and his two companions, she had always held Ningning tightly.
It was noon. The sunlight shone through the gaps in the big tree at the door and fell on Jiang Yue, leaving mottled spots of light on her face and body.
"Jiang Yue!" Gu Ye called out.
Jiang Yue heard someone calling her name, and the voice sounded very familiar. She turned around and saw Gu Ye walking towards her.
"Why are you here?" Jiang Yue was shocked, his mind full of questions about why Gu Ye was in the Public Security Bureau.
"Dad!" Ningning rushed over happily when she saw Gu Ye.
Gu Ye picked up Ning Ning, but his eyes were still fixed on Jiang Yue. After making sure that she was fine and not injured anywhere, his cold eyes slowly melted like ice.
Jiang Yue felt that Gu Ye looked at her strangely, which made her feel uneasy.
The first person to speak to Gu Ye was Aunt He.
"Are you Ningning's father? You look so young! When I saw you, I knew why both sisters are so beautiful!" Aunt He's eyes widened when she saw Gu Ye. She thought that this young man was so handsome, but his clothes seemed a little familiar. She seemed to have seen him somewhere before.
"Sisters? What sisters?" Gu Ye looked puzzled.
Jiang Yue's heart skipped a beat and she thought to herself, oh no, this is going to be exposed!
Seeing Gu Ye's suspicious eyes looking at her, she hurriedly took Aunt He's hand and walked out, pushing her to a corner where Gu Ye couldn't see her, and then whispered, "Aunt, wait for me here, I'll come over after I say a few words!"
Aunt He said happily, "Does that mean you agreed to come to my house for dinner?"
Jiang Yue: “Yeah!”
Now she just wanted to quickly separate Aunt He and Gu Ye and absolutely could not let these two people talk!
"Then I'll wait for you!" The more Aunt He looked at Jiang Yue, the more satisfied she became.
Jiang Yue pushed Aunt He away, and when she came back and saw Gu Ye looking at her, she asked again, "Gu Ye, why are you here?"
"I haven't asked you why you are in the Public Security Bureau!" Gu Ye looked at Jiang Yue, his eyes as deep as a cold pond filled with darkness. He was actually angry. If he hadn't followed Jiang Yue here today, he couldn't imagine what would have happened!
"I..." Jiang Yue was a little confused about whether to tell Gu Ye that she was molested. She was afraid that he would scold her.
Ning Ning didn't care about that and had already complained to Gu Ye, "Dad, there were bad guys chasing me and mom. They chased us yesterday!"

"But Gu Ye, how did you happen to be there? Are you here in the county town to do some business? This is such a coincidence, you just happened to pass by and saved me!" Jiang Yue looked surprised.
What's such a coincidence? Look at what she said. He followed her here specially!
Gu Ye was so angry that he didn't want to talk to Jiang Yue anymore.
"Gu Ye, I really want to thank you today, otherwise I--" Jiang Yue also felt scared at this time. If Gu Ye hadn't appeared, she didn't dare to think about what would happen to her.
"Are you scared now?" Seeing Jiang Yue's face turn pale, Gu Ye didn't want to blame her anymore. He planned to ask her some questions after he got home.
"Got it!" Jiang Yue nodded hurriedly, but what she was thinking in her heart was that Gu Ye saved her again!
"Gu Ye, have you finished your work? Do you want to go home now?" Jiang Yue saw Aunt He waving at her. She was afraid that Aunt He would come over, so she quickly signaled to her that she understood.
"I'm going to an acquaintance's house for dinner. Or you can take Ningning home first?" Jiang Yue said to Gu Ye.
"No, I want to go with my mom!" Ningning twisted and turned to ask Gu Ye to put her down. She grabbed Jiang Yue's sleeve with her little hand. She wanted to go to Aunt He's house to eat White Rabbit milk candy and couldn't go with her father.
Seeing this, Gu Ye also said: "It just so happens that my comrades and I also have a dinner party. Tell me the location, and I will pick you up after I finish here!"
"Wait for me!" Jiang Yue ran to ask where Aunt He's house was, then ran back to tell Gu Ye, "It's on Gulou Street."
"Okay, then you guys go, and be careful on the road!" Gu Ye instructed.
"Got it!" Jiang Yue turned around and smiled at Gu Ye. Gu Ye felt as if the sun was shining in front of his eyes in an instant.
Watching Jiang Yue and Ning Ning leave, the corners of Gu Ye's mouth rose unconsciously, and then fell down again. Jiang Yue just said thank you, without any other expression?
When Director Shen saw Gu Ye coming in, he stood up and asked, "Captain Gu, have you arranged everything?"
Gu Ye nodded, "It's my wife. She took her daughter to visit an acquaintance."
Director Shen smiled and said, "I heard that you got married last year. It seems that you have a good relationship with your sister-in-law!"
