Chapter 26: Driving an Urban Management Vehicle to Play a Sleight of Hand
Fortunately, the children were taken away from the fried skewers stall early, so the parents were able to take action.
The four people trapped in the crowd tried to run away several times but failed.
The situation was deadlocked for more than five minutes, and then two more urban management vehicles drove up from the end of the alley, and another seven or eight people got out of the vehicles.
"Yellow, Yellow, Yellow Team?!"
A group of people got out of two identical cars parked nearby. Suddenly, another person got out of the car driven by the four troublemakers. When he saw the leader, he was so frightened that he stuttered.
"Li Ziyang! Why are you here?" A person following Huang Quanan asked in surprise to the person getting off the car.
“I, I…”
Li Ziyang talked for a long time but there was no response. Huang Quanan glanced at him, waved his hand, asked the person next to him to take him with him, and walked straight into the crowd.
"Old man, I'm sorry to have made you angry. I'll deal with it right away."
After Huang Quanan and Wen Zhiyi greeted each other, they immediately looked at the other four people.
"Whose people are they?"
Huang Quan'an turned around and asked the seven people who followed him. The seven people looked at him and shook their heads.
"Do you know these people?" Huang Quanan turned and asked Li Ziyang who had just got off the car.
"I, I don't know him." Li Ziyang looked up and quickly lowered his head to deny it.
"Don't you know you're driving them? These four people just got out of your car. Do you think we're blind?"
"I was surprised at first that they all got out of the non-driving seats, but it turns out there was still a driver in the car!"
"You're lying with your eyes open, right? I have a video here. I just took a video of it while filming the stall. Do you want me to show you whether you recognize it or not?"
When the parents heard Li Ziyang's denial, they immediately exposed him on the spot, and some even played the video they had recorded on their mobile phones.
Now even Li Ziyang's boss, who followed him, looked unhappy.
"Why aren't you telling the truth? Tell me! Who are they?"
"He, they...Qiufeng Road Community Auxiliary Police..."
Li Ziyang spoke very quietly, but the people around him still heard it clearly and all looked confused.
"What is the position of community auxiliary police? Why have I never heard of it?"
"I've only heard of auxiliary police in courts, but I've never heard of auxiliary police in communities?"
"They're there to assist community staff! They're nominally there to help, but unlike the police, they don't have law enforcement powers. They're essentially hired personnel to assist with the work!"
"Oh, no wonder these four people are wearing different clothes from the ones who came later!"
"Oh, now that you mention it, it's different! They look quite similar, but you can't tell unless you look closely!"
After hearing this, everyone started to look at the differences in the uniforms of the several people.
"Community auxiliary police? Who gave you the guts to pretend to be urban management law enforcement officers?
"Call the chief of the Qiufeng Road Police Station!" Huang Quanan ordered, and the person next to him immediately took out his phone and started calling on the spot.
"Huang, Captain Huang! This... We're all family, working for public security. We're not pretending! We never said we were urban management officers. They made a mistake..."
The man who was in the lead just now forced a smile and made a dry defense to Huang Quanan.
"How shameless! They didn't even deny that they were urban management officers!"
"They've arrived in a city management vehicle, and they're still playing tricks on me. What a pretentious guy!"
"You're still working for public security? You're the biggest public security problem. Stop bringing shame to the auxiliary police!"
The parents started cursing, and the man in the lead was scolded so much that his face turned blue and white.
"So, Qiufeng Road Community Auxiliary Police Officer, does your unit have the law enforcement authority to check vendor documents and confiscate vendor vehicles?"
Zhao Xiaojing questioned.
The four people avoided eye contact and remained silent.
"Captain Huang, I just took a photo and sent it to Chief Chen. He said these four auxiliary police officers are still in their internship period." Someone nearby told Huang Quanan the result of the call.
"I don't care if this is a real internship or not. Tell him to send someone to the Hankou Road Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau to pick him up. The result must be handled fairly and strictly!"
Huang Quanan said.
"yes."
"The same goes for your men. Take them back! Deal with them as needed. I'll follow up on the results!"
"Yes, Captain Huang." Li Ziyang's boss replied. Li Ziyang was so scared that his eyes turned red, but he didn't dare to say anything.
After Huang Quanan and Wen Zhiyi said hello, the three cars left quickly again. The surrounding vendors were disappointed and left with sighs and smacking their lips.
"Grandpa, thank you so much! I didn't expect you to run into something like this right after arriving."
The crowd dispersed and Zhao Xiaojing hurried to Wen Zhiyi.
"It's a small matter. Even without me, you would have guessed that they weren't enforcing the law properly. I see you're recording a video here, so you can get justice by following the procedures! I didn't expect it would be so difficult for you to set up a small stall!"
Wen Zhiyi shook his head and sighed.
"Old man, this is because the boss has great skills and his business is so successful! Where else can you find such a thing?"
"These people don't think about doing things well themselves, they just get jealous and hurt others!"
"Grandpa, Sister Zhachuan has only been setting up her stall for five days, and this is the third time she's run into trouble!"
The children ran over from a distance and stood up for Zhao Xiaojing together with their parents.
"You've only been setting up the stall for five days? And you've already encountered three problems?" Wen Zhiyi was very surprised when he heard it.
"It's okay, Grandpa. I'm lucky to have you here today. Grandpa, I'll treat you to some fried skewers!"
Zhao Xiaojing smiled indifferently, walked to the back of the stall and started cooking again, took some of each and started frying skewers for Wen Zhiyi.
Although the guests were delayed by the commotion, they were reluctant to leave without having tasted the fried skewers, and they returned to their seats on their own, some queuing and some grabbing the sauce.
"Why do you hire so many people to help? Can you even afford to live on this salary?"
Wen Zhiyi asked curiously when he saw so many people helping.
"These are all guests and parents of students." Zhao Xiaojing said with a smile.
"We don't want a salary, old man. All we need is for the boss to work harder every day and have enough fried skewers!"
"Uncle, please help us persuade the boss. We are still young, and it is the best time to work overtime. We should be prepared to work more overtime! These fried skewers are delicious, but there is not enough of them!"
"That's right, old man. We wait here every day for the boss to come to work!"
Seeing that Zhao Xiaojing and Wen Zhiyi were familiar with each other, the customers who were ordering fried skewers also started chatting with the old man. The fried skewers stall instantly became lively again, and Wen Zhiyi couldn't stop smiling.
"Haha, I didn't expect you to be so lively selling fried skewers! I just love seeing young people having fun, it's so nice. How much are the fried skewers? Let me scan the code too."
As the old man spoke, he took out his cell phone, raised his hands, squinted his eyes, and started unlocking it from a distance.
"No need, Grandpa. You've helped me so much, how can I take money from you? I promised to treat you to a meal."
"No, that won't do! This small business can't take advantage of you!" Wen Zhiyi turned around and asked the elementary school student next to him about the price of fried skewers.
"Grandpa, my sister's boss said he doesn't charge money. I can't tell you today. I'll tell you when you come tomorrow!"
The child gave a clever answer, and the group of people laughed again.
"Oh, I forgot..."
The parents in the crowd slapped their foreheads.
