Chapter 4 It's so delicious I cried.

That evening, Lu Rong focused all her energy on preparing dinner for the next day.

Although the rice cooker he bought was very large and could cook rice for dozens of people at once, he still cooked seven or eight pots of rice.

There's no other way; this is to avoid situations like today where everything sells out too early.

After all, he was currently struggling financially, and every little bit he could earn was valuable; he didn't want to miss this opportunity.

Moreover, preparing so many lunch boxes by himself was too tiring. He even thought that after he started earning money in a while, he would hire a few people to help him, otherwise he really couldn't finish it all by himself.

He was busy until after 11 p.m. that night, and finally he had prepared all the meals for the next day.

The shop itself wasn't very big, so he used several large stainless steel basins to put the cooked rice into them and sprinkled some cold water on them.

This method produces a better flavor and texture.

The next morning, he went to the vegetable market near the school gate to buy ingredients for the day.

Of course, he bought almost twice as much today as he did yesterday.

Now that I've made some money, I feel much more confident.

Moreover, given yesterday's booming business, today will only be better than yesterday.

Yesterday was just the beginning of our brand awareness; with so many people promoting it afterward, I expect a huge influx of people to come today.

Fortunately, as a senior, he no longer had classes.

He also completed all the internships required by the school during the summer vacation, so he had plenty of time to do what he wanted to do.

After buying the necessary ingredients, I rushed back to the shop.

After all, preparing hundreds of boxed meals is not something that can be done easily.

We must seize every minute and every second.

He plans to cook more food in advance today so that there won't be a long queue of people waiting at noon.

The point of boxed lunches is to be quick.

Many people come to buy boxed meals because it's convenient and saves them time.

You can just pay and take it away; you hardly have to wait long.

He cannot afford to lose this advantage.

He carefully washed all the vegetables he bought, chopped them on the cutting board, and put them in the vegetable basket.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged man in his forties was patrolling the campus.

He was dressed in a suit, black trousers and a white shirt.

Below is a pair of gleaming leather shoes.

He was also holding a small leather bag, which was bulging and seemed to be filled with a lot of documents.

His identity is Tang Dahai, the college's counselor.

Today, at the request of the principal, I am here to inspect various aspects of the school.

Just then, he noticed a young man chopping vegetables in a shop not far away.

They clearly look like students.

He knew that these were shops rented out by the school.

As a counselor, he was quite familiar with the students in the college.

Although we don't know each other personally, we usually keep in touch.

So when he saw the man in the shop, he immediately recognized him as a student from his college.

This puzzled him greatly.

How did a college student end up selling boxed lunches here?

Our Kyoto University is, after all, one of the top universities in the country.

Once students graduate and leave campus, countless companies will be eager to hire them.

Among them are leading companies in various industries, and even Fortune Global 500 companies.

Why would someone have to resort to selling boxed lunches on campus?

And judging by this, I estimate they won't sell more than a few boxes a day.

They might not even earn enough in a month to pay the rent.

Thinking about this, he felt it was necessary to find out more about the situation, since the student was, after all, his student.

If all else fails, try to find him a job yourself.

Otherwise, if he were to sell boxed lunches here, people who didn't know better would think that he, as the counselor, had failed in his duties, causing the students to fall into such a state.

"Good morning, classmate. Do you own this shop?" He walked up and greeted Lu Rong with a smile.

Looking at the middle-aged man who greeted him, Lu Rong immediately recognized him as Tang Dahai, the school's counselor.

She quickly stopped what she was doing and replied with a smile, "Oh, you're my counselor. My name is Lu Rong, and I'm a senior. I just finished my internship and was thinking of opening a small shop on campus to try it out since I had nothing to do."

Lu Rong did not hide anything and explained his current situation.

Upon hearing this, the counselor frowned.

In his view, Lu Rong opening a store was indeed a good attempt.

But no matter what, it shouldn't be like to open a boxed lunch shop. Why not do something more upscale?

As a college student, what can you learn by selling boxed lunches every day?

"So, how's your business?" Although it wasn't very polite, he couldn't help but ask.

After listening, Lu Rong thought for a moment and said, "Business wasn't very good before, but I recently learned a special egg fried rice dish, which is quite popular with the students."

Fried rice with egg?

After listening, Tang Dahai glanced behind Lu Rong.

I saw several large bowls of leftover rice in his kitchen, along with lots of eggs and onions.

It's clearly a portion that would take hundreds of people to finish.

Tang Dahai asked doubtfully, "You've prepared so many things, are you sure you can sell them all? If you can't sell them all, wouldn't that be a waste?"

Upon hearing this, Lu Rong instantly understood what Tang Dahai meant.

They probably felt they had no future selling boxed lunches here and wanted to find out more about the situation.

Although he is known for being strict, he actually cares a lot about his students, which is common knowledge at the school.

"How about this, I'll cook one for you to try, so you can give me some advice." Lu Rong felt that he should use practical actions to dispel Tang Dahai's concerns.
