Chapter Seventeen: He offered himself in return, didn't he?

"Big sister!" Little Su Yue ran ahead, her face pale with fright. As soon as she saw Su An, she hopped on her short legs and ran into Su An's arms, sobbing.

"Waaaaah, big sister! You crazy woman, Yueyue is scared!"

Su An was both anxious and distressed. He quickly and safely escorted the little girl back to the shop, then immediately grabbed a broom and rushed out.

"Wang Po! How dare you hurt a child! I think you've really gone mad!" Su An shouted angrily, raising his broom and swinging it forcefully at Wang Po.

Su Jiang and Su Ting instantly felt as if they had found their pillar of support, "Big Sister!"

Granny Wang was already traumatized by brooms and would tremble at the sight of them. Taking advantage of this moment, Su An quickly reached out and firmly protected the two children who were running towards her behind her.

She then checked them over nervously and found that the two children were just sweating profusely from running and were not injured. She immediately breathed a heavy sigh of relief!

She was so scared she almost had a heart attack, thankfully she's alright!

At this moment, Granny Wang also realized what was happening. Her face covered in mud, she was furious and pointed her butcher knife at Su An, cursing, "You little slut, you've come out just in time! Do you know what your brats have done?!"

"You think I harmed them? They were the ones who threw mud into my stall first! They made my stall stink! And they ruined all the tofu!"

Upon hearing this, Su An frowned again, looking at the second and third brothers with a questioning gaze.

The second brother, Su Jiang, kept a straight face, not daring to meet Su An's gaze, but his dark eyes were filled with stubbornness as he said, "Who told her to speak ill of eldest sister yesterday!"

“That’s right!” Su Ting shouted like a little wolf cub with its fur standing on end, and even swung his fist fiercely at Granny Wang.

"If we hear you call me 'big sister' again, this time we'll throw mud at you, next time we'll throw stones! We'll smash you to death, you shameless old woman!"

Seeing their unwavering support for her, Su An felt a sudden warmth in her heart, and patted their heads with a mixture of reproach and helplessness.

It's good that the child has this intention, but the starting point is wrong. What if the child gets hurt because of this?

Granny Wang ignored the two boys and glared at Su An angrily: "You have to give me an explanation today! You smashed my stall and tofu, you have to pay me ten taels! Not a penny less!"

Upon hearing this, Su An laughed in anger, his face showing sarcasm. "You dare to ask for such an exorbitant amount? I'll give you ten taels of silver to buy a coffin."

Granny Wang's face flushed with anger, and she immediately threatened her with the words Su An had used to intimidate her yesterday: "Don't even think about renege on your debt! If you don't pay, I'll sue the county magistrate! I'll have your entire family of heartless bastards arrested!"

After saying that, she couldn't help but feel smug. "You never thought this would happen, did you? Fortune turns around, and you'll be in this situation today!"

"Sure." Su An crossed his arms and readily agreed, "Then go ahead and sue! It'll be a good opportunity for the magistrate to see how you extort money!"

It would be the fairest and best thing to have the government determine the compensation.

Wang Po then realized that it made no sense for her to ask for ten taels of silver!

Her face turned pale, then flushed. Suddenly, she caught sight of the butcher knife in her hand. Her eyes hardened, and she raised the knife as if to strike Su An: "Are you going to pay or not! If you don't pay, I'll kill you! That way we'll all be done with this!"

"Big sister! Get out of the way!" Su Suting shouted in fright upon seeing this.

Su An remained vigilant about the knife, but she never expected that Granny Wang would actually go all out to make a move.

She was startled and was about to grab her two children and dodge, but unexpectedly, the next moment—

A sharp stone suddenly shot out from Fu Zhun's fingertip, as sharp as a dagger, and struck Wang Po's wrist.

"Ah!" Granny Wang screamed in pain. Her hand trembled, and she almost dropped the butcher knife, nearly hitting her own foot. She was so frightened that she fell to the ground.

This scene caught Su An off guard. After a moment of stunned silence, he turned to look.

Outside the gate of the neighboring courtyard, Fu Zhun, sitting in a wheelchair, appeared out of nowhere.

He took the handkerchief Zhou Li handed him and slowly wiped the hand that had just thrown the pebble.

Su An was truly astonished. This God of Wealth, despite having a limp, actually possessed such skills?!

They usually keep a low profile, you really wouldn't guess it!

Su Jiang's clenched fists gradually loosened at this moment. His lips were still pale with fright. He looked at Fu Zhun with immense gratitude, suppressing his trembling.

"This great benefactor saved my sister! He's amazing..." Su Ting stared wide-eyed, her voice filled with shock.

Zhou Ligang pushed Fu Zhun over, and upon hearing this, he chuckled and boasted with undisguised pride, "This is nothing! You didn't see how powerful my master was at his peak!"

Upon hearing this, Su An and his brother couldn't help but curiously prick up their ears.

Fu Zhun's eyes darkened slightly as he glanced at Zhou Li with a chilling look, warning him not to get too carried away.

Zhou Li pretended not to see anything; this was a chance to be a hero and win over the boss!

He was about to continue advocating for his prince when, after a long while, Granny Wang finally regained her senses.

She stared at Fu Zhun, trembling, and then screamed like a banshee: "Oh no, someone's been murdered!"

"You must be Su An's lover! This is outrageous! This adulterous couple is going to kill someone! Look at my hands—"

However, before she could finish her wailing, Fu Zhun gave her a cold glance into the shadows, and then a guard silently appeared behind Wang Po.

Like a ghost, it startled Su An and the two children.

When did this person come into existence?!

Without the prince needing to speak, Zhou Li coldly snorted at the guards, "This old woman is rude and even tried to hurt someone. Drag her away, give her a few dozen lashes, and then throw her away!"

"No! No, no!" Granny Wang cried out hastily, completely terrified. Good heavens! Who are these people?!

She had just screamed and begged for mercy when the guard pointed his finger at her acupoint, silencing her, and then quickly took the pale-faced Granny Wang away like merchandise.

Su An: "..."

Goodness.

That's a really good guy!

Is this the power of a wealthy and powerful family?!

Su An was filled with envy. She coughed lightly, swallowed, and then looked at Fu Zhun, saying, "No matter what, thank you so much for saving me just now, young master!"

Otherwise, she might really be in trouble!

Hmm... then should she give them a thank-you gift in return?

Fu Zhun stared at Su An's ever-changing expression and couldn't help but smile.

The little girl's thoughts were written all over her face; she was quite lively.

He nodded without ceremony and chuckled, "So, what gift does Miss Su plan to give me as a token of her gratitude?"

Su An had only been pondering this on her own, but she hadn't expected the other party to speak up like this, so she blinked in bewilderment for a moment.

After all, a gift to repay a life-saving debt shouldn't be too casual, but she was penniless and had nothing valuable to give.

Or is it to deliver food?

Zhou Li smiled slyly and immediately suggested to Su An, "Young boss, why don't you offer yourself to me? My master is a decent person!"
