Chapter Sixty-Two: Lady He Asks to Jump

Li Guihua kept wiping away tears, her heartfelt heartache for her daughter instantly moving everyone present.

"That... seems to be true!"

"He Cheng's family was the first to turn their backs on us, so what reason do we have to let anyone help them now!"

"He only has himself to blame, he deserves it!"

Feeling humiliated, Madam He glared at Li Guihua with a hint of malice in her eyes.

No matter what, she has to get those five hundred taels today and rescue Xiao Cheng from that cannibalistic prison!

She jumped up abruptly, her hair disheveled, and rushed to the window.

"Since your family is so cold-blooded and unwilling to lend a helping hand, what's the point of me living at this age? You just want to force me to my death, don't you!"

Good grief, who's forcing whom now?

You're the one who threatened to kill yourself!

Just as He Wangshi was about to jump out of the window, the onlookers cursed her inwardly and quickly pulled her back.

"Don't stop me! My son is still suffering in prison. I'm such a useless mother, I might as well die!"

She was about to jump off at the slightest provocation, and the hesitant gazes of the crowd quickly fell on Su An.

No matter what, it shouldn't result in someone dying, right?

However, Su An remained unmoved, instead curling his lip and spreading his hands, "Here it comes, here comes the one who throws a tantrum and uses moral blackmail, everyone hurry up and watch!"

He Wangshi's mournful voice paused, wondering what kind of medicine Su An was selling, and she even forgot her intention to jump off the building.

"That wretched old woman is always threatening to kill herself. Right now she wants five hundred taels from my family, but tomorrow she'll want Zhang San's shop, and the day after that she'll be after Li Si's family's property!"

“Everyone here, without exception, if anyone softens their heart, especially those who went to pull people away, be careful, or you'll be entangled by that old hag right away, and she might jump off your building one day!”

Su An stroked his chin and, seeing the changed expressions on the faces of the onlookers, immediately put on an innocent smile.

She calmly gave a summary.

As the saying goes, "If it doesn't concern you, don't worry about it." But if it does concern you, who would sit still?

"If you ask me, isn't this a bit too domineering? Don't you all agree?"

Everyone gasped in unison, and upon realizing what had happened, they couldn't help but back away and nod frantically.

So this is what they call moral blackmail!

This trend must not be encouraged!

Who knows if they'll be the next ones to be stigmatized!

"You...you..."

Madam He was so angry that she couldn't speak for a long time, pointing at Su An.

Su An scoffed contemptuously in his heart, then slowly said infuriatingly, "And another thing, your precious manhood is still in jail. Go ahead and jump. No one will care if you jump. It's good that this rotten person rots to death in jail!"

These words struck a nerve with Madam He, and she disregarded everything else, rushing forward to grab Su An's face.

But the next second, a single sentence froze him in place.

“Mrs. He, if you dare to continue your unreasonable behavior, your son will be imprisoned for more than three years.”

Fu Zhun arrived at some point. He sat upright in his wheelchair, his eyes beneath his sword-like eyebrows like the waters of a cold pool, inspiring awe in those who looked upon him.

Madam He's expression stiffened, and she stared at Fu Zhun with a look of apprehension.

"What nonsense are you talking about? I just came to see my former daughter-in-law!"

She stubbornly tried to explain, but her face betrayed her deep guilt.

Fu Zhun coldly swept his gaze over Madam He, exuding an aura of authority that made it impossible for anyone to look directly at him.

"He Cheng's sentence was determined by the county magistrate. Now you are making unreasonable demands for money. Are you dissatisfied with the county magistrate who made the judgment or with the laws of this dynasty?"

He Wangshi immediately turned pale, collapsed to the ground, and began to tremble all over.

Damn it, this is the cripple Xiao Cheng was talking about, he's really not someone to mess with!

"I didn't mean that! I...I'll leave now!"

He Wangshi swallowed her anger and had no choice but to scramble to her feet, leaving hastily without a care in the world.

Su An, without any hesitation, gave Zhunbi a thumbs up, saying, "Good job deserves a reward!"

Look at what the God of Wealth said, so perfectly, it scared people away.

That saves so much trouble!

With a relieved feeling, Su An walked over to Fu Zhun with a smile and small, quick steps.

"By the way, what brings you here? People like that won't even bother with her; she's just asking for trouble. It's too noisy and crowded here. The backyard is much quieter. Let me push you in."

When Fu Zhun saw her change of expression so quickly and smile at him with bright, charming eyes, he was stunned for a moment before he couldn't help but curl his lips into a smile.

"It's alright, there are so many customers in the shop, you don't need to worry about me."

Once the fun was over, the diners who had been watching the spectacle remembered why they had come to the breakfast stall and started calling out to the waiter.

"It's alright, we'll manage eventually. Let me push you inside first."

Su An smiled. These people were not as important as Fu Zhun. This man was the shop's biggest benefactor, and he could not be neglected.

Fu Zhun tapped the armrest lightly with his fingers on the wheelchair, attracting the attention of Zhou Li and Jian Yi behind him.

"You two stay in the shop and help out."

Zhou Li looked at his lord in disbelief and pointed to his own nose.

"I?"

He let out a strange cry, sounding quite exasperated.

"I am a dignified..."

Halfway through his sentence, Zhou Li seemed to remember something and swallowed his words with resentment, "Master, are you really going to make me a waiter?"

He glanced at Fu Zhun with a mournful look and muttered under his breath.

"Hmph, Master is so impressive for rescuing a damsel in distress, and he's not even polite when it comes to ordering people around. I'm the only one who's truly miserable!"

Su An chuckled, amused; he really was that familiar show-off.
