Chapter Twenty-Five: A Bizarre Battleground

After Liu finished speaking arrogantly, he gave Fu Zhun and the others a vicious glance. Although he didn't say anything more, the warning in his eyes was self-evident.

It seems that if they dare to interfere again, they will be the ones to suffer next time.

Without waiting for a response, he strode away dismissively.

Zhou Li was so angry he almost laughed. In the past, when had he ever encountered such a blind and fearless person in the capital?

Pointing at Boss Liu's obese figure, he cursed, "This fat thief really is the mastermind! Look at him! So audacious, he's even threatening people!"

"Your Majesty...you're not my master, how can you tolerate this??"

A cold glint seemed to flash in Fu Zhun's dark eyes as he sat in the wheelchair. He felt that Zhou Li had finally said something pleasing to the ear, and nodded coldly: "It is indeed unbearable, so let's just resolve it directly."

As he spoke, he casually raised his hand slightly, and the guards then silently descended from who-knows-where.

Su An's heart skipped a beat in fright. No matter how many times he saw it, he still found it hard to get used to the ghostly, sudden appearance of the guard.

Just as Fu Zhun was about to speak, she quickly stepped forward to interrupt, saying, "Hey everyone, please calm down! I have a better way to deal with that fat thief!"

And it's clearly her own business, she hasn't even had time to get angry yet, so why do this master and servant look like they're about to kill someone?

But neither the master nor the servant seemed to realize it; upon hearing this, their serious gazes simultaneously fell upon her.

He truly is a righteous and chivalrous person!

Su An couldn't help but sigh inwardly, then raised the corner of her eye and smiled brightly, "He's so arrogant because he thinks we have no evidence, right? Well then, let's give him a taste of his own medicine and make him suffer in silence!"

Then she looked at the imposing guard and winked: "I'll have to trouble you, guard, to intimidate him a bit and shave his head bald, how about that?"

The guards had never done anything so "novel and exciting" before, and they immediately looked at the prince with eager eyes, wanting to know what to do.

Fu Zhun smiled with amusement and waved for him to go.

Zhou Li grinned from ear to ear, circling around Su An in amazement. "Little boss, I've wanted to praise you for a long time. You're always coming up with brilliant ideas. I really like you!"

Little did he know that as soon as he said this, Fu Zhun's smiling lips suddenly disappeared.

His usually indifferent expression turned somber as he raised his dark eyes and swept them over Zhou Li.

Zhou Li seemed oblivious, his bright eyes fixed on Su An's pretty face.

Su An's eyes widened instantly, startled. She waved her hands repeatedly to distance herself from Zhou Li, saying, "No way, I'm just an ordinary commoner, not worthy of your status as a young master."

"You know who I am?" Zhou Li, who had been grinning, was taken aback and asked in surprise.

Su Anwei rolled her eyes: "You are so polite and have such an extraordinary demeanor. Although you are a glutton, your usual manners show that you come from a wealthy family. I'm not blind."

The unintentional gestures she made were more elegant and noble than some of the important figures she had met in her previous life, indicating that Zhou Li's status must be quite high.

Besides, even if the two were a good match in terms of status, she still wouldn't like them!

Upon hearing this, Zhou Li's admiration for Su An grew even stronger. His eyes were filled with affection and admiration as he gazed at her, as if his feelings for her were running deep. "Little boss... no, I'll just call you Xiao An. I'm so happy for you..."

In the wheelchair, Fu Zhun slowly clenched his pale, strong hand into a fist. He suddenly slammed his hand on the armrest and said in a cold voice, "Enough! Don't be so frivolous and presumptuous!"

An unexpected low pressure crept in, and Su An and Zhou Li both shivered, their faces stiff and bewildered.

Su An: "..."

Why does she feel so pressured, like she's been caught in a compromising situation?

Zhou Li realized things were going badly; he had gone too far!

Just then, from two streets away, a furious roar of alarm suddenly rang out from Boss Liu—

"Where did this madman come from! You son of a bitch, don't you dare touch a hair on my head!!!"

"You scoundrel! You murderous bastard... Ah!"

Su An shrank back. He had already avenged his great grudge, so when was the better time to slip away?

She quickly chuckled awkwardly and said to the master and servant, "Oh dear, it's getting late. Thank you again for today's help. If there's nothing else, we'll call it a day!"

Everyone go back to their own homes and find their own mothers. Let whoever wants to stay in this inexplicable chaotic situation stay!

Anyway, she ran away without looking back.

Zhou Li: "..."

Help me.

Under the prince's death stare, he steeled himself, closed his eyes, and forced a grin as he leaned back. "Hehe, how about it, Your Highness? Just now, to make you understand your own feelings, I was willing to sacrifice my own innocence!"

"You're clearly jealous! Just admit you like the young boss, and hurry up and win over the princess!"

Upon hearing Zhou Li's shameless explanation, Fu Zhun's anger remained unabated, but the unconscious, stifling feeling in his heart gradually subsided.

"Boring!" He gave Zhou Li a cold look, frowned, and pushed his wheelchair away.

Hey, even when the prince is jealous, he's still so arrogant, huh!

Zhou Li secretly scoffed, but his lackey immediately followed with a smile.

The next day.

Su An had sold out of steamed buns and was humming a little tune as he prepared to close the door when suddenly a fat hand slammed against the door.

"You surnamed Su! It's all your fault!"

Hey, that voice sounds familiar.

Su An raised his eyes with a half-smile, and sure enough, it was Boss Liu with a livid face.

He was so angry that his belly was bulging and he was shaking with rage. His face was red and his veins were bulging. At this moment, he was wearing a huge bald head, which made his beady eyes and pig-like nose look even more ferocious.

Su An couldn't help but burst out laughing: "Boss Liu, has this mutated? How can you be so ugly and still have the nerve to run around like this? You scared my customers, are you going to compensate me?"

Mr. Liu's face turned green with anger. Afraid of being discovered, he waited until all the customers had left before sneaking over to settle accounts with Su An.

Unexpectedly, Su An's loud voice immediately attracted the attention of passersby.

He hurriedly growled in a low voice, "You little bitch! I was attacked by that guard as soon as I left the court last night. Don't think I don't know you were behind it! Hand over the milk tea recipe right now, and I'll be merciful and not report you!"

However, Su An crossed her arms and looked at him with a cold smile, "I didn't. You're such a shameless person, who knows if you have too many enemies? You should have evidence before you speak."

Upon hearing this, Boss Liu nearly died of anger. That guard was highly skilled in martial arts; he shaved his head and left. What proof was there that he had a sissy?

He thought that if he came and threatened them, the Su family would be scared, but who knew that Su An was a tough nut to crack!

"Fine! Very well! You're determined to refuse a polite toast and suffer the consequences, aren't you? Well, you just wait and see!"

Watching Boss Liu slink away, covering his face, after making his statement, Su An chuckled, but also took it to heart and prepared to go back inside to give his family a proper talking-to.

Little did she know, someone next door was even more concerned than she was.

"Something terrible has happened, Your Highness! The Princess is in danger!"
