"I am not the Great Sage you are talking about."
“You are the Great Sage. Only the Great Sage would call the Clean Altar Messenger a fool.”
"I am not the Monkey King."
“You are the Great Sage. Only the Great Sage has fiery eyes that can recognize that I am not human at a glance. Only the Great Sage says that he is without father or mother and was born of heaven and earth. The Great Sage was born from a stone, so of course his surname is Shi (stone).
"I am not the Monkey King."
Little Stone sat on the stone table with an air of superiority, wishing he could cover his ears and run away, his face filled with bitterness and resentment:
"You little brat, how come you're even more troublesome than my master? You take several tries to say the same thing."
Xu Milu smiled broadly, not afraid of making him angry at all:
"You are the Great Sage. As everyone knows, the Great Sage's master, the monk Xuanzang, is long-winded... ah, no, he's a chatterbox."
Just as a hint of agreement appeared on Little Stone's face, he immediately coughed:
"Cough cough cough cough, you little brat, how do you know so much at such a young age? Didn't your elders teach you to stay away from me? Aren't you afraid I'll skin you alive?"
This is practically the accepted norm.
Xu Milu's eyes lit up; she couldn't wait to reach out and touch Xiao Shitou's head to see if he had any monkey hair growing on the back.
"No way! The Great Sage hates evil, is brave and decisive, intelligent and quick-witted, fearless of authority, hardworking, and eager to learn—"
The barrage of praise almost made Little Stone blush. He scratched the back of his head, grinning with his big white teeth, looking utterly mischievous.
"Oh dear! You little brat, how come you know how to say such nice things to flatter me, it makes me so embarrassed. Don't try to flatter me with those nice words, I'm a clever person."
"This isn't flattery, it's the real deal!"
Xu Milu was as excited as a child. Who hasn't dreamed of seeing their senior brother in person when they were young, fighting demons and monsters with him, and riding on a somersault cloud to travel through the sky?
Such sincere and fervent worship was clearly very pleasing to Little Stone, no, to Sun Wukong.
He sat cross-legged, made a spell, and pulled out a needle-like object from his ear. He blew on it, and the object fell to the ground and grew in the wind, becoming a black iron rod with golden ends and a black middle section.
"!!!!"
Xu Milu took a breath and reached out to poke it.
The golden cudgel has golden hoops at both ends, decorated with auspicious cloud patterns. The middle section is jet black, with stars arranged in a regular pattern, as well as dragon and phoenix carvings. Upon closer inspection, there is a section of traditional Chinese characters right below the golden hoops. Although Xu Milu doesn't recognize them, she knows what they say:
"The Ruyi Jingu Bang weighs 13,500 jin."
Sun Wukong seemed impatient with dressing up as a child, so he immediately leaped onto a cloud and landed down, revealing himself to be a short monkey wearing a yellow monk's robe and a monk's hat!
This monkey was fully formed, with all four limbs intact. Its fur was a bright yellow, shimmering in the sunlight. It had round eyes, round ears, and yellow fur from its forehead to its cheeks. It had a mouth shaped like the Thunder God, a thin face, a pointed snout, and a widow's peak on its head. It stood on auspicious clouds and held a golden cudgel. What a majestic and imposing Great Sage! What a righteous and righteous Victorious Buddha!
Xu Milu held her hands happily and immediately decided not to wash them for a month: "This trip was worth it!!"
she!
Xu Milu!
I've seen the real Sun Wukong!!!
He even personally cooked a vegetarian meal for Sun Wukong!
He even touched the Ruyi Jingu Bang (the magic staff)!!
This is pure luck!
It's perfect! It's perfect!
Perhaps Xu Milu's expression was too obvious, so the Monkey King simply put away his golden cudgel and scratched his head:
"Child, you came to Chang'an just to see me?"
The naive Monkey King obviously couldn't understand Xu Milu's joy at "successfully meeting her idol":
"Who are your parents? Why were you let out alone? You're just a little phoenix with a big turtle. I don't think you have any magical abilities. You're only better at escaping than others. Aren't you afraid of being captured and used as a mount?"
Xu Milu suddenly remembered that in the Journey to the West world, the non-human species that were even slightly decent-looking were all captured and used as mounts. The nameless and faceless ones usually ruled the mountains and forests, and were eventually killed by Monkey King with a single blow.
"I am also an orphan, and I don't know my origins. I found Ah Chou somewhere else. Great Sage, do you know my origins?"
Xu Milu probed.
The alien genes in her body have almost fully integrated, which has not only changed her physique but also her appearance. If she hadn't eaten the human-faced fruit, the changes in her body would have been noticed long ago.
Sun Wukong, having shed his childlike appearance, felt much more relaxed and pointed at Ah Chou, who was crawling around haphazardly, and said:
“Although giant turtles are common, your giant turtle is different. In the past, Gonggong broke the pillar of Buzhou Mountain. Nuwa refined five-colored stones to mend the sky. Afterwards, she killed a giant turtle and used its four limbs to make this pillar supporting the sky. The little turtle in your hand carries the bloodline of the giant turtle. I'm afraid it will grow to be that big in the future. However, it is still young and does not know any cultivation techniques. It only knows how to swallow food. It is quite pitiful.”
"Big Ao? Does that mean Ah Chou will grow to be as big as the sky?"
Xu Milu really didn't expect that Ah Chou had such a big background, considering that it almost became food in Xiong Aoquan's mouth.
Unaware of what was happening, Ah Chou brazenly bit Sun Wukong's hand, showing remarkable audacity. Surprisingly, Wukong wasn't angry at all; instead, he chuckled and said:
"Since I've met you, little turtle, it must be fate. I'll bestow upon you a great fortune."
A flash of inspiration appeared at his fingertips, and a golden light shot into Ah Chou's head. The little turtle let out a "ga" and slowly retracted into its shell, as if it had become withdrawn.
