When Fang Ting learned that Xu Milu had come from the direction of G City with two children, she brought several bags of nutritional paste and compressed biscuits.
The packaging of the nutritional paste looks somewhat like toothpaste, a short section about ten centimeters long, with a white cap at the top and a line of small print on the tube: "This product provides enough energy to meet an adult's daily needs."
Compressed biscuits are much simpler. They come in silver-white packaging and contain a mixture of flour, lard, and other ground grains. Xu Milu took a small bite and found it to be sickeningly sweet.
However, she still expressed her gratitude for Fang Ting's kindness. After all, in such a time of food shortage, anyone who would give away food is a true saint—and that's not meant in any derogatory way.
Xu Milu originally planned to give Fang Ting a deer leg as a return gift, but judging from Fang Ting's expression, she didn't really want to see any meat for the next few days.
“Beep—Su He, a citizen of the Dragon Kingdom, age 17, from G City, first guardian Su Fangfang, second guardian Wan Yongnian.”
“Beep—Li Doudou, a citizen of the Dragon Kingdom, age 7, from G City, first guardian Li Feng, second guardian Niu Shan.”
A pale yellow identity information popped up. Fang Ting nodded and tried to touch Dou Dou's head, but the sensitive child dodged away.
When it was Xu Milu's turn, Su He spoke first:
“She is my cousin Xu Milu, and her guardians are extreme naturalism enthusiasts.”
Fang Ting paused slightly, then nodded knowingly, her eyes filled with understanding as she looked at Xu Milu.
"No wonder you resisted being checked so much—although the Skynet system is currently completely paralyzed, the authorities are working on fixing it, and you can get a replacement identity document when that happens."
Although Xu Milu didn't understand, she nodded solemnly and turned to look at Su He.
Su He gently tugged at her sleeve and explained in a low voice:
“Extreme naturalists admire nature and believe that the government implanting biochips in newborns violates the laws of nature, so they refuse to have biochips injected into newborns—I have a classmate whose parents are like that. Don’t worry, they can’t find out your identity.”
Xu Milu glanced at him with some surprise, not expecting this child to be so clever, and couldn't help but ruffle his hair:
"Well done. I'll teach you how to make food with other wild vegetables tomorrow."
"real?"
Su He's eyes lit up, and she quickly promised, "I will definitely study hard!"
