Chapter 28 [Magical Dimension] Soul Binding, Knights, and Loyalty

"This is not fair!"

Greer, who had awakened at some unknown time, was filled with hatred in his eyes. His teeth clenched so tightly they rattled, as if he were about to lunge out and bite Egard's throat, offering his blood as a sacrifice to his fallen kin.

"This is not fair! He killed our own kind and took pleasure in torturing us. He skinned us with animal hides just to make a single luxurious robe. He used the skulls of my fellow countrymen as pillows and held banquets on the blood of slaves. He even took pleasure in shooting slaves!!"

Just because of that damned deal, he can be reborn?! What about my people, my compatriots, and all those innocent people who were tortured and harmed?!

"Angels? I always thought they were just a legendary race."

Xu Milu wasn't sure if William's words were true, but seeing his serious expression and Aigard's increasingly confident attitude, her heart sank.

What kind of lousy worldview is this?

As long as you believe in God and have made a deal with the angels who serve God, you can escape punishment no matter how badly you do?

"Hahahaha, the little brat from the Ackerman family is right. You can kill my body, but you can't destroy my soul. As long as my soul continues to wander this continent, Lord Raphael will be able to find me and help me return here!"

Lying in the mud, Aigard suddenly chuckled softly, his mud-splattered face contorting into a ferocious grin:

"Do you see? This is the biggest difference between me and you. As soon as I die, I can immediately return to Lord Raphael's embrace! When I am reborn, I will not let any of you lowly beings go! I will still be the noble Campbell Glory."

The Beast God has long since perished. You lowly, pitiful beings, your god did not love you, which is why you are so miserable. But I, the great Sky God, will forever protect me.

Seemingly wanting to provoke everyone into killing him quickly, Aigard forced a provocative smile onto his greasy face, speaking to Xu Milu in an almost flippant tone, his slippery words like the flickering tongue of a venomous snake:

"And you, I'll eagerly await seeing you groaning at my feet, and this adorable little wolf beside you—"

"puff!"

Before Aigard could finish speaking, a soft piercing sound rang out, and everyone stared wide-eyed at the red-haired girl standing in front of them in disbelief.

She seemed to merely raise her index finger, and a blazing flame shot into the air, swirling and forming a sharp arc before piercing Aigard's chest without hesitation.

"Ho! Ho ho!"

In an instant, a torrent of blood engulfed Aigard's throat. He didn't even have time to utter another word before his gray-white pupils lost all color, and his heavy body crashed to the ground.

"If your soul is on this continent, can an angel resurrect you? Well, I really have to thank you for reminding me."

Xu Milu grabbed the soul that floated out of the corpse and rolled her eyes dramatically:

"I thought it was some powerful trump card, that it could capture your soul and spirit. If you're so capable, why don't you send your Lord Raphael to snatch it from me?! You can't go to the Kingdom of Gods, but I know a place that's perfect for you."

The soul held in her hand seemed somewhat dazed. Instead of soft angel wings or a healing, warm pool of reincarnation, it was met only by a constant barrage of golden flames.

Aigard's狰狞 (zhengning, meaning ferocious or hideous) face slowly emerged, and he screamed in despair:

[No! This can't be! Impossible!! Ahhhhh! Let me go! Lord Raphael! Lord Raphael, save me!!!]

"What's impossible about that?"

Xu Milu picked at her ear, then unceremoniously squeezed the soul in her palm, making the phoenix flames burn even brighter:

"Don't worry, I'm not a devil. We're a family, so we should all be together. If your family members are all like you, then you don't need to worry. They'll be able to go down and join you soon."

Go down?

Where to go?

Egard had never been so terrified. Amidst the ever-burning flames, the red-haired girl's face gradually twisted, resembling a hideous and terrifying demon.

[Aaaaaaah!!!]

Phoenix flames inherently possess purifying properties, not to mention that Xu Milu's phoenix flames also bring merit, making the torment of evil spirits even more intense, with screams almost piercing her eardrums.

Unfortunately, no one present could hear Aigard's cries and pleas for mercy.

Xu Milu felt a pang of regret and casually tossed the soul into the system slot—after all, in a sense, the soul is also a tradable item.

That's it??

That's it!!

She thought it must be some powerful trump card that made Aigard so fearless. If she were facing a god from this plane, Xu Milu might have kept a low profile and considered how to torture Aigard while he was still alive.

—In this plane, soul magic is taboo, a domain belonging only to the gods. But for Xu Milu, who has taken the Monkey King as her master, capturing Aigard's soul with the Binding God technique doesn't even require any props.

Therefore, the rule that villains die from talking too much is true.

...

...

Although those present could not sense the existence of a soul, they did indeed see Xu Milu's grab in mid-air and hear Xu Milu's "self-talk".

"Qingluan...sir?"

William hesitated for a moment, glanced at Aigard's corpse on the ground, and couldn't help but lower his voice a few decibels:

"It seems—you killed Egard and took his soul with you?"

Xu Milu didn't think there was anything to hide. She glanced at Greer, who was staring intently at Aigard's corpse, and then picked up Fanny, who was clinging to her lap, and comforted her.
