After thinking for a moment, she simply chopped off a few more pieces, threw them into the fire to roast along with the peel, and cut the peeled cactus fruit into small pieces to eat as fruit.
But as she stepped on the dry leaves and walked into the cactus, she suddenly heard a rustling sound. Turning around, she saw Ah Chou lying on the ground digging in the sand, his four paws digging rapidly.
"Are you so hungry you're eating sand?"
Xu Milu was both amused and exasperated. She squatted down, about to say something, when she saw Ah Chou with a strand of silver-white hair in his mouth, while the owner of the hair was half-buried in the desert.
A food documentary suddenly turns into a horror film.
Xu Milu quickly dug through the sand and found that the unlucky guy buried in the sand looked somewhat familiar.
"Cough cough cough, cough cough cough—"
A female elf with long, silver-white hair crawled out of the sand:
"Miss, your friend may have misunderstood. I was just sleeping and had no intention of dying. Please let go of my hair—"
Ah Chou ignored her and stubbornly held onto her hair, refusing to let go.
"You are the bard, Ms. Laura!"
Xu Milu was pleasantly surprised, but after looking at the sandpit where she was nestled, she couldn't help but ask in confusion, "You're sleeping in the sand?"
"What else can we do? The desert is terribly cold at night. If we don't find a way to keep warm, even elves will die."
Lola shrugged, a hint of helplessness in her expression:
“I’ve been in this desert for almost five days and still haven’t found the way to Sunny Castle. I was just about to take a nap when your friend woke me up.”
Xu Milu looked at Lola's tattered luggage and the old harp she never parted with, and suddenly fell silent.
Is it possible that this elf, like before, was a penniless wretch?
