Chapter 59 Separation on the wedding day

Chen Chunhua ignored Qian Lai'er's hurt look and, at Zhong Hui's kind invitation, went into the house and took a walk around.

Her main purpose was to see the miserable condition of Chen Laicai who was bedridden, but after entering the house she saw a lot of changes.

The Shen family's bungalow has three rooms in total. The middle one is the main hall in front and the kitchen in the back, and the two rooms on the left and right are used as rooms.

Initially, the room on the left was divided into two halves: the front half was the room of Shen Laicai and Qian Laier, the back half was the room of the three sisters, and the room on the right was the room of the two brothers.

Later, when Shen Xiasheng got married, the right side was divided into two rooms, one in front and one in the back. Not long after Shen Chunhua got married, Shen Donghua also ran away, and Shen Qiusheng moved into the room that had originally been shared by the three sisters. The large room on the right side became Shen Xiasheng and Qi Xiuyun's.

Their children are growing up and need a place to sleep.

Shen Qiu Sheng and Zhong Hui got married two years ago. Before the marriage, they had agreed that they would live in the room where Shen Qiu Sheng was sleeping at the time for a while. After they had a child, the Shen family should be able to save some money and build another room next door. Then the young couple could move into the new house, or the old couple could move in.

But wasn’t it Shen Xiasheng who ruined the wedding banquet?

Zhong Hui's parents said that they could not get along with such an uncle. If the two brothers of the Shen family did not separate, the marriage could not be concluded. Even if they got the marriage certificate, they could still get divorced. If their daughter insisted on marrying into the Shen family, they would rather sever the parent-child relationship and say that they did not have this daughter.

Of course, Zhong Hui was not so impulsive as to ask for a separation that day, and Shen Qiusheng stood beside his wife to express his support.

Divorce? Divorce right after getting married? This was something completely unheard of in the countryside. If they really divorced, not only would Shen Laicai's face be ruined, but Shen Qiu would probably also be single for the rest of his life.

Shen Laicai's eldest son is mentally retarded, and Shen Xia is angry that Shen Laicai is partial. If he wants to divide the family, then he can divide it. What about his two sons? Will they still have no food to eat?

The house is so small, and since we just got married and neither family has much money, it's unrealistic to build a house right now. We can only allocate land locally.

The main room and kitchen were shared, with each family sharing half. But the large room could not be given to Chen Xiasheng.

Shen Laicai said that he wanted to live with his youngest son, and Shen Xiasheng and his family could only get half a room.

Chen Xiasheng was almost furious. They were a family of five, and they only gave them half a room? This old man must have lost his mind!

In the end, another fight broke out and the village sent people to mediate.

In the end, the wall separating the room where Chen Xiasheng and his wife lived was demolished and moved back, giving them two-thirds of the room.

The back third is now occupied by Shen Laicai and his wife, and the entire room on the left belongs to Shen Qiusheng and Zhong Hui.

But from now on, the eating, drinking, defecating and urinating of the two old people will be under the jurisdiction of Shen Qiusheng and his wife.

Zhong Hui wanted to agree on the spot, but her parents were smarter than her and were cautious. The division letter only stated the daily eating, drinking, defecating and urinating expenses. If the old couple had any illness or discomfort, they would still have to bear the responsibility together.

Just recently, Qian Lai'er broke her leg and wanted to go to the hospital to have the bone fixed. Zhong Hui said that both families should pay for it together, but Shen Xiasheng disagreed and had a fight with Shen Laicai again.

Shen Laicai was old and was no match for his eldest son who was in his prime. He was kicked to the ground in just a few seconds. There were some stones on the ground, and with a click, his buttocks bones were broken. He collapsed on the ground and couldn't get up.

When Zhong Hui said this, her tone was calm, as if she was talking about someone else's family, not her own parents-in-law and uncle.

Chen Chunhua cried out, then looked at Qian Lai'er curiously, "Then how did my mother's leg break?"

Zhong Hui glanced at Qian Lai'er expressionlessly, "My father-in-law interrupted me. He said that the clothes were not dried before he took them in, and they were sticky when I put them on. He was in a bad mood, so he took a stick and beat her to pieces."

In fact, in this family, if we were to say who Zhong Hui despises the most, it is not her father-in-law Shen Laicai who gets violent at the slightest disagreement, nor is it her uncle Shen Xiasheng who is calculating to the core, nor is it her husband Shen Qiusheng who sometimes helps her and sometimes doesn't.

But it was my mother-in-law Qian Lai'er.

She still remembered the first time she saw her mother-in-law being beaten. She kindly defended her and had a quarrel with her father-in-law. If Shen Qiusheng had not stopped her, she might have been slapped by Shen Laicai.

But afterwards, Qian Laier actually felt that she was disrespectful to her father-in-law Shen Laicai, and wondered how Zhong Hui could quarrel with Shen Laicai.

Zhong Hui felt like she had been wasting her kindness.

Later, as time went by, whenever she and Shen Qiu Sheng quarreled, Qian Lai'er would accuse her of being unfaithful and going against her husband's wishes.

Fortunately, Shen Qiusheng didn't dare to hit her, otherwise Qian Laier would probably be the first to rush out to help.

She had finally figured out that Qian Lai'er was a piece of rotten mud, destined to rot in the old society. Not content with being a slut herself, she also wanted to drag everyone else down with her. If she were Qian Lai'er, she wouldn't have to fight these paper tigers with a kitchen knife, but she would at least have to bite a piece of flesh off them.

The funniest thing is that Chen Laicai and Qian Laier may really be a little perverted. They won't listen to you if you talk to them nicely. They have to throw, beat and scold them before they are willing to be quiet and obedient.

In just two years, Zhong Hui had turned herself into a shrew. She knew how stupid she was for not listening to her parents, but the matter was done and she could only send her child to her parents.

Otherwise, if you grow up in such an environment, it would be difficult not to become like the men in the Shen family.

Chen Chunhua glanced at Qian Lai'er's legs, sneered, and didn't even say a word of concern. Instead, she said to Zhong Hui,

"Sister-in-law, please take me in to see your father-in-law. I've come all this way, and it would be a shame if I went back without seeing how miserable he is."

Zhong Hui also laughed when she heard this. This Third Aunt is really interesting. But Qian Laier, who had been ridiculed by the two for so long, finally couldn't hold it in any longer and rushed forward limping.

"Chunhua! How did you become like this! We are your parents! You are a piece of flesh that fell off my body! Seeing your father and I in this state, shouldn't you take us to see a doctor right away? How can you sleep well at night?"

"Of course, Mom." Chen Chunhua calmly touched her right sleeve. "To be honest, seeing you like this, I'm really happy. I feel like I can even have an extra bowl of rice when I go home tonight."

Qian Laier stared at her blankly, and then heard her ask coldly,

"I still remember when I was very young, it was my eldest sister who took Shen Xiasheng and me. Shen Xiasheng was playing around and pushed my eldest sister into the river while she was washing clothes. Her head hit the rocks on the riverbank and she was bleeding and dizzy. What did you say when you came back?"

"If you can survive, then survive. If you can't, I'll just give you a straw mat."
