Prefect Wu saw the Protector-General suddenly grab the deputy general by the collar, shouting, "Sound the whistle!"
His lieutenant shook his head violently, "Hallucination, boss, it's a hallucination. Are you having another episode? You said you heard the whistle many times before, but when we went to look for it, it wasn't there."

Six white shadows streaked past her head with a "whoosh."

Li Ruo turned around and slashed at him with his sword.

He didn't dodge or flinch, but grabbed her hand, stunned, as if feeling the warmth of her hand, like a dazed person, his mouth opened but he couldn't utter a word.
"Let go! Didn't you become empress? How dare you still have an ambiguous relationship with other women?" She glared at him.
"What about other women?" he finally asked, his voice hoarse.
The deputy general, Sun, ran over from behind, and immediately trembled. His voice choked with sobs, and he cried out in anguish, "Sister! Is it really you? Sister!"
"Sun Ergou!" Li Ruo glared at him.
"It's me, it's me, sister! We've been looking for you for so long!" Sun Ergou said, tears welling up in his eyes, and went up to hug her.
He was kicked away.
Xie Xiao stared blankly at the woman in front of him, his eyes churning with a mixture of emotions: shock, surprise, anger, and trepidation.
Suddenly, he grabbed Li Ruo's hand and pulled her tightly against his chest, his eyes fixed on her.
In an instant, a metallic taste of blood welled up in his throat, and he heard his own voice say, "Is it really you?"
"What, you don't recognize me after only a year?" the woman asked stubbornly.
A sharp pain shot through my arm.
He tightened his grip on her arms, shouting, "You're back! You're fucking back!"
Li Ruo was forced to look up at him, "But why didn't you wait for me? Why did you make an empress? You scumbag."
"Scumbag?" Xie Xiao's eyes blazed with anger: "How dare you call me a scumbag?"
The darkness in his eyes seemed to whirlpool, threatening to devour her. His arms almost crushed her bones, and he didn't loosen his grip even when she cried out in pain.
It hurts, is that true?
Li Ruo gasped, "Are you trying to strangle me? Let go! I'm going to find the Protector General to settle this matter."
Xie Xiao narrowed his eyes, as if he understood something, "I am that."
Li Ruo was stunned for a moment, "You, are you the Protector General? Then the emperor is—"
Xie Xiao said, "Because I want to find you without any distractions, I'm giving the throne to your elder brother—"
"What?"
Suddenly, a bandit charged at them, yelling "Ahhh!" as if he were very brave, but Xie Xiao kicked him away without even looking at him, his gaze still fixed on Li Ruo.

Just then, another bandit slashed at them. This time, both of them extended a leg at the same time, and the bandit flew straight down the mountain.
