Chapter 6 Grandma's Morning Grumpiness
“Yes, killing her would be a waste. It’s better to let her die with some value.” Shanxi nodded in agreement, a rare occurrence for him.
Seeing that she agreed, the old man breathed a sigh of relief and quickly chimed in, "Grandma is right. Let her live a few more days, so that even in death she can die with value."
Even if they die, they shouldn't die in the Shan family!
If this gets out, it will damage the reputation of the philanthropic family, and it will be difficult to explain to the Crown Prince!
"Alright, it's settled then. If you can bring glory to the Shan family and win the competition, I will spare your life. I can also forgive you for impersonating me before. But if you lose, all the food, clothing, housing, and transportation you've had in the Shan family over the years, including pills and equipment, will have to be returned to you in cash!" Shan Xi's eyes were cold and his aura was imposing.
Shan Yurou's heart skipped a beat, and after hearing these words, she was so angry that her mouth almost twisted in disbelief.
However, this was already a mercy from the Shan family. After all, her and Shan Mingyuan's conspiracy had been exposed, and being able to save her life was already a great relief!
Shan Yurou nodded reluctantly, and the next second, a contract was handed to her.
"Words are no proof; let's put it in writing." Shanxi raised his chin, gesturing for Shanyurou to sign.
Shan Yurou gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with resentment, and fiercely signed her name.
Will she lose?
ridiculous!
After signing the document, Shan Yurou slammed the paper on the table and said, "You piece of trash, just you wait! Without me, your Shan family would be dead for sure!"
She'll show that good-for-nothing Shanxi what a genius who will amaze the entire dynasty truly is!
Shan Mingyuan also stood up triumphantly, his eyes full of disdain for Shanxi.
So what if things are exposed?
The old man still had to beg Yu Rou!
Watching Shan Yurou's smug figure disappear into the distance, the old man leaned down beside Shanxi with a worried expression: "Grandma, do you think she can win?"
Shanxi shook his head: "Arrogant and conceited, his profound energy is built up by pills and is easily defeated."
"Then..." The old man was somewhat bewildered.
If that's the case, why did Great-Grandma keep her around? This doesn't seem like Great-Grandma's usual decisive and efficient personality.
"Let Shan Yuru live; I have other plans!" Shanxi gazed intently in the direction Shan Yuru had left.
Could it be... a coincidence?
The next morning, just as dawn broke, the second master of the Shan family, Shan Xiong, stormed angrily into the main courtyard where Shanxi was.
Seeing that, just as Shan Yurou had said, the old master had given the main courtyard to Shanxi, Shanxiong became even angrier.
"A piece of trash is a piece of trash! Coming from the countryside, they really don't know any manners!"
"Guards! Where have you all been? Drag that good-for-nothing out of bed right now!"
"If she keeps pretending to be dead, get a bucket of ice water and splash her with it to wake her up and make her really sober!"
"A piece of trash like her, yet she dares to put on airs! Who gave her the guts!"
No sooner had the words left his mouth than a powerful voice came from behind him: "I gave it to you!"
As Shanxiong turned around, before he could even see who it was, a large, powerful hand, like an iron clamp, swept over with a sharp gust of wind. With a crisp "smack," a slap landed hard on his face, and his entire body was knocked to the side by the force of the blow, almost causing him to fall to the ground.
"What kind of behavior is this, making such a racket so early in the morning! If you wake up your great-grandmother, can you take responsibility?" The old man gritted his teeth, suppressing his voice, for fear of waking Shanxi.
However, it was too late.
With a creak, Shanxi walked slowly out of the house with a gloomy expression.
The old man was immediately stunned. His great-grandmother had a bad temper when she woke up, which was why he had specially invited her to move back to the main courtyard. Who would have thought that his second brother, who had no sense of propriety, would dare to disturb his great-grandmother's sleep? He was really asking for trouble!
"What is it?" Shanxi's voice was cold, revealing a strong sense of impatience.
Sunwoong looked coldly at Sunhee, his eyes filled with disgust and contempt: "A piece of trash should know what a piece of trash is like, and stop having unrealistic dreams all day long!"
"Since you don't have the ability to bring glory to the family, you should humble yourself and let someone with the ability do it!"
"Just because of such a trivial blood relation, you've caused chaos and made our home unbearable. Who do you think you are?"
"No wonder you were abandoned when you were little. If I were your father, I would have abandoned you too!"
He's just a piece of trash, what right does he have to be a philanthropist!
"Oh? Blood ties are insignificant in your eyes?" Shanxi leaned back lazily in the armchair brought by the old master, her tone somewhat nonchalant.
She still remembers that when she was a child, Shanxiong was naughty and disobedient. She wanted to drive Shanxiong away, but he refused to leave. He clung to her trouser leg and cried out "Grandma" in a heart-wrenching voice.
Later, he even claimed that he was his own grandson, a grandson whose blood ties were still connected even if the bones were broken, but now he says that the blood relationship is insignificant.
Shanxiong sneered and said righteously, "So what if we're related by blood? I'm ashamed to have a useless grandniece like you!"
"Although Yu Rou is not our Shan family's biological daughter, she is excellent in every way. Unlike you, a useless person with broken meridians, you are not even worthy of carrying her shoes!"
"If I were you, I wouldn't even have the face to stay here. But you dare to cause trouble for Yu Rou. Aren't you afraid of driving Yu Rou away? Then no one will bring honor to our Shan family!"
"Shut up!" The old man couldn't stand it anymore and was trembling with anger.
Shanxiong, however, disagreed: "Brother, you're getting senile!"
"If you don't count on Yu Rou, do you expect her to be a good-for-nothing?"
"If you ask me, Grandma was blind back then to have chosen you as the head of the family."
"If she chooses me, I will definitely cherish Yu Rou and make her the true young lady of our Shan family. As for Shanxi, that good-for-nothing, I'll throw him as far away as possible and not let him ruin the reputation of our Shan family!"
Shanxi gave a cold laugh. She slowly stood up, looked down at Shanxiong, and said in a cool tone, "Indeed, it would easily ruin the reputation of the Shanxi family."
Upon hearing this, Shanxiong seemed surprised that his few words had actually persuaded Shanxi. Just as the corners of his mouth turned up in a smile, he heard Shanxi say, "From today onwards, you will move out of the Shanxi family."
As soon as he finished speaking, the smile on Shanxiong's face froze instantly.
"You...you piece of trash, what did you say?" Shanxiong looked like he had misheard.
Did he hear that right?
How dare that good-for-nothing, a mere junior, order him around?
Should we make him move out?
“Ridiculous! I am your second great-uncle, how dare you…” Shanxiong’s finger had just pointed at Shanxi when the old man grabbed him and pressed him down.
"Throw him out!" the old man ordered with a look of disgust.
They woke up my great-grandmother to rest and then shamelessly said that bloodline is not important. If it's not important, then they don't need to be named Shan!
As Shanxiong was being dragged out, the old man seemed to have thought of something and asked again, "Grandma, should we expel him from the Shan family or remove him from the family genealogy?"
If he is removed from the family genealogy, then Shanxiong is finished!
